Thank you for sharing your videos! I have very fond memories of being at Yokota as a Dependent back in the 80's. So much has changed! Keep up the good work!
Thank you very much for many interesting aspects of what your family have experienced so far at Yokota AB. I was stationed there back in 1974-6, assigned to 2127 Comm. Sq. I enjoyed that time no matter what. I think most important thing for everyone stationed at any overseas bases is to appreciate and try to learn anything interest that person. Many of us used to go off base after work and enjoyed eating hot Soba in cold winter days and those bar rows off base. It does snows around Yokota AB during winter. The best thing to experience Japan is to take off from base, hop onto those nice trains running all over and go to places like Tama, take Ome line, the mountain scene will be splendid. There are always Japanese people off base willing to assist U.S. servicemen despite language barrier as most Japanese folks are very helpful. There are some bad ones also who will use inappropriate language. But for me, I had very good experience while I was there by thinking positive rather than negative. Life is too short to worry little things and wishing you all the very best and enjoy Japan to the fullest.
Thanks for the vids. I loved Yakota when I was there. I miss it but it's nice to see it from other family's views. Base has changed a ton since I lived there. Also, please tell your husband thank you for his service.
@@anairforcefamily1266 If you haven't had a chance yet, try the docks and fish markets first thing in the morning. Best sushi and seafood ever!!! I also loved the buffet at the Sanno Hotel was a great experience too. Just pricy.
Thank you for sharing. Me and my family will be making the big moving coming soon for the new year. I’m interested in how family accommodating it has been for you all with children and the job opportunities for spouses.
I’m a 4Y0X1 dental assistant. Just found out my first base after Sam Houston in Yokota Japan. Wish me luck and I can’t wait to see Japan

Thanks for the sweet comment. I also like to hear from people who have lived here before. Most people seem to have enjoyed it as much as we are now. 😊
