i've read that snow mode actually makes the gas pedal less ''sensitive'', or in some automakers, snow mode makes the transmission start in second gear for less torque which is the end goal when you want to reduce wheel slip
In a way, you could say that yes the gas pedal response is less sensitive. For a system without a throttle cable like this, most times they desensitize the part where they have finer control, and that's usually the engine end.
I've always been intrigued by the Snow button on my G37x. It's been a terrific car, and I've experimented with the various traction assist features. I was always concerned that Snow mode was just a 50% power reduction, or maybe even more, but I always hoped it also transferred some of the torque to the front wheels. very difficult to get accurate information on this but I'm more convinced now that it just cuts some of the power/throttle. Thanks for the great vid!
Snow mode is keep awd 50:50 from 0-28 mph. But it’s not 100%. So, I look this video to get knowledge maybe this guy know something, but he looks like have now idea about Nissan /Infiniti awd system and snow button
I am always open to learning. Could you share the sources of your information? All the manuals written by Infiniti for these vehicles say that the SNOW mode switch only controls engine output.

That's what I read as well, but now I am convinced it just starts you in 2nd gear so there is less torque. I think the AWD models automatically start in awd from 0-10 mph so if your driving a RWD model you'll still have a snow button but obviously you won't have any awd capability. I just drove my g37x yesterday here in omaha, it's -35 windchill and we were hit with two storms in one week. I forgot to put snow mode on, and I initially slipped just a little bit at a red light. That's why I am convinced that the awd kicks in from 0-10 mph. There was a pick up truck in front of me and he had to stop completely and manually put his car in 4x4. I am planning on driving it again today to go to the store, and I'm going to put it in snow mode first. I will follow up later. @@andyor3114
@@giovannymelendez8004 It’s so fun in the snow. It snowed really bad in South Carolina some years a ago. I was one of the few cars on the road. I stop in a big parking lot and had a ball. Damn I miss that car.

Okay, windshield is filthy and u bout to run outta gas. Hope u make it. CHEERS!!!
@Dertersenior8151 😆Your A 🧌⚠️
All it does is regulate the throttle, no?
I have a 2003 g35 coupe, rwd but has the snow mode option and was mad confused bc i thought it only came in the awd
Can't have snow mode without awd it's literally just awd with reduced throttle response up to about 20mph
Drove my 05 fx35 in 12 inch of fresh powder . kicked ass in snow mode

@@EdBwoy i read on the forums that the snow button holds 50:50 awd from 0-20 to 0-28 mph. After that it’s 0:100 rwd
