You ever caught any flathead off the bank with live blue gill or carp without kayaking the line out. Or I gotta get that line out somehow someway? Just curious because I’m waiting on my kayak to get shipped from back home in Oregon and been tryna land a flat from the bank.
@@chanelbaby8436 I’ve caught tons of flats casting bluegill and carp. Winter time is harder since flatheads are typically deeper but it’s possible. Summer time you can easily catch flats in 10ft or less of water so casting is easy.
Nice video, Trevor! Can you explain the tagging thing? I think I saw a tag inserted into the fish by the top fin. Is that for your purposes somehow or do you do it for an organization? Just curious
We have/had a tagging program with the ACCA (Arizona Catfish Conservation Association) and more or less teamed up with Game and Fish in order to tag and learn about them. I think we’ve tagged close to a thousand or more flatheads between Bartlett and Pleasant in the last 6 years or so. Pretty cool when you get a recatch! It’s a pretty short list that are actually allowed to tag including myself. The tag itself has an ID number and the website fishtagger.com. If you happen to recatch one, you should enter in the new weight, length, and location it was caught. I caught and released this specific fish last year. Tag # 0046024. Hope that explains a little bit! Haha
Soad outro was beautiful

Haha! Definitely for science reasons! Thank you sir!
Did you ever make a mistake and eat your bait????
Did I ever eat my own bait? What do you mean by that? Haha eat them instead of using them for bait?
