Spreads are the true cost of trading not commissions. I traded a thinly traded market once and from the spread alone on paper I was up $300 bucks I hit the market order to get out when I noticed a change in price action. I walked away with $75 profit. 😒
Do NOT trade on a regulated CFD broker on low time frames. The spreads WILL take you to the poor house right from the start. AVOID! Stick to the higher time frames.
Commission can certainly be an issue but also on stocks if the spread is too wide then it would not make sense to scalp. For example if the spread is 20 cents and someone is scalping for 5 cents it won't work.
Dear Mark .. what is the logical daily pip profit for scalper and can you please advice us how to balance between risk and reward ratio and small profit in scalpping , since scalper tp is too small like 5-10 pips , what is the proper stop lose in this case ?
My biggest issue personally is the active trade ladder on TOS. It moves super fast unless you want to take a risky entry and enter near the bid and chance tagging out… highest probability of entry when it pushes in my favor and entering near the ask which means in order to breakeven on the trade it has to push in my favor. Even if I sell a second after I bought an at, it would be a loss because I’m getting in at the ask and exiting at the bid. Entering at mid in the active trade ladder is very difficult with all the price change I wish they just had to enter at mid button but TOS doesn’t.
First solution does not work for me I don't mind paying a commission in most cases the cost is the same anyway but these large spreads are annoying they either don't trigger the trade due to the bid/ask price. What is the best broker to trade with 0 spread finding a reliable broker turned out to be my biggest problem I never would have thunk it.

I used limit order and moved my stop to break-even within secods and then my broker closed my account, because I only had 20% of losers. It was Capital, and they are market makers.

I had a success rate of 90 percent with a demo account without spread. Easy markets spreads messed me up

A true ecn broker is what hes looking for> lower spreads, but a charge for lot size.

Thanks, I just broke even with the spread thought I was winning, and then seen it go way up after I sold, and now im mad that I got out smh!!

You need to negotiate with your broker not with MT5. If the broker doesn't offer tight spreads simply switch to another broker using MT5.
