In terms of security make sure that the broker is a member of the regulatory body of your country. E.G I live in the UK - So I hunt for brokers which are FCA approved. If you live in USA - Makes sure theyre CFTC OR NFA approved.. If you live in Australia - make sure theyre ASIC approved. The list goes on. I would also suggest that once you double your account, Withdraw partial profits and make sure its easy to do so ! Look for low spreads and low commisions ideally and MAKE SURE they allow you to use MT4 or MT5 - any credible broker should have facilities to use this application :D Best of luck !!!

You know, I have to say "I agree" This was very well said. Difficult because influencers spreading false messages about FOREX being easy and people lose money so not helping the industry. A very honest approach to this video! Thank you.It's sometimes difficult to get the message across because traders are reluctant to take advice from other traders. After all, essentially I feel they may think that you are a better trader than them and that fact is true in many regards. But the traders who can admit that they get it wrong plenty of times and accept help are usually the ones who end up succeeding. From our perspective anyway. It's those traders that "LOL" every time someone disagrees with them that you have to watch out for.

The overall point of this video is to basically stick to a strategy that will give you more wins than losses after back testing it a few times of course, but do keep in mind that no matter how great of a strategy it is, and no matter how good it’s setup, there are still going to be times where you lose a trade(s). It’s inevitable and there is simply just no way around it no matter how good of a trader you are. Either way, stay with the strategy and stop with all the tweaking, especially if it’s a really good trading strategy. Keep it simple, void being greedy and NEVER EVER over leverage your account. Follow these simple rules and you will do just fine.

Dont start trading, it's pointless and will be "more" pointless in the future. Trust me *I TRIED EVERYTHING* - easy stuff, hard stuff, I read *EVERY* academic paper on the internet on quantitative finance, algorithms, market theory (structure etc.). I LITERALY KNOW everything on forex, so i can tell you a secret - only brokers profit froms spreads and commisions.
That's why they offer courses, "expert advices", fancy indicators and other bs.
Forex market follows what is called a *martingale stochastic process* and this means *every trader is destinated to lose all invested money.*
There aren't ANY good or bad strategies, because *you cant predict unpredictable.*

Trading in ANY market without practicing any strategy that works with you with practice/demo money is never a good idea. You should only dive into trading once you have a strategy that works and one you understand, until you can trade with real money.

@@4linesav not true at all you don’t have to do “iml” to trade currencies, I started last week, and made 3500k profit off of 200 originally in my portfolio, and that’s still off of trading risky and losing round 7k total profit (I had 10k in turnover in three days) if you don’t know how to trade or the mental fortitude to do so

In my case, I had a fraudulent broker later shutdown by the police. I don't feel like trading anymore...

I had a slight issue with verification, they demanded a clear picture of my details as opposed to the ones I kept uploading. A tiny bit stressful, but I got it done when I uploaded a crisp clear picture and it got updated right away. The title was incredibly click baitey, but what you said is incredibly true. Forex trading is a commitment to learning and understanding. It's a commitment to overcoming yourself. It's always going to be YOU that screws you...nobody else can do it. I'm getting into learning about forex these past few weeks. I'm making a commitment to myself to learn, not to make money. It's not about money, it's about winning trades. I'm going to use this whole year to learning all I can, and after that year I'll continue learning my whole life. Then I'm going to use demo accounts over and over again for at least 6 months until I'm comfortable trading live. This isn't a get rich quick scheme. Forex is about skill, focus, and most importantly...DISCIPLINE!

After almost 10 years trading and a lot gambling becouse mostly of oversize position I am and I was to impatienceas not enough inteligence to recognize this earlier and stuborn to stop.I can say a lot of people will never achive profitabilyty due to type of characters and long way achead to improve this.

I'm working on my 2nd decade of doom... but I'm not losing money near as quickly as I used to.

First, I felt a little offended - because I am not trading FX since 30 years, but since 15 years - and I am still alive :). But after listening to what you say it makes perfect sense. I am also using multiple strategies, and I am also from time to time in search of new strategies. But I change my strategies depending on either market types and/or market condition - not because I ditched them for some losses.
Therefore I am clearly separating between experimental tweakable and productive, well documented strategies. And - in contrary to every mentor - I also do NOT backtest experimental strategies too long. Instead I use separate relatively small live accounts and put promising experimentals live very fast - just to shorten my learning curve. I always feel better to test on real money - it puts me in the right mood to take it serious.
And no, this is not what I do every day. I do it once in a while to prop up my trading toolbelt e.g. for other markets like crypto.

Do not rely heavily on indicators or indicator strategies at least a few like the moving averages and the RSI is just right but would advice you go with price action trading to get the clear market sentiment and momentum because these indicators lag at times

Move like the market maker then you'll less likely to lose 90 % of the time. Dealers induces retail traders to take buys or sells in the beginning of the week then comes the trap move while they are sleeping. Knowing the right entry/divergence/level/trends/time m15 h1 h4 and knowing how to take profit will make you be a better trader. Hint: RSI don't lie. Take your pips and go and don't be greedy.

The real money isn't in short term forex trading that's a mugs game is purely gambling. The real money is in selling signals, setting up trading rooms and providing courses which eventually allow you to lead your clients to your affiliate brokers.

Sylvain Piche This is not true at all. You can make a great living Trading Forex if you basically do what homeboy said initially in this thread. Respectfully, you're being negative based off of your experiences & reactive mind. If not then you're just reiterating something someone else said about Forex Trading. In fact, the Forex market is rigged but & this is a huge but, if you watch the Market Makers and notice their patterns, then when they show their hands, then and only then you get into a trade that is set up for more than likely for you to win. If you think like a Trader & not the Market Maker's then you will absolutely & inevitably lose! Lastly, all you need to be a successful Forex Trader is, 20-50 pips per week. That's it. You can literally take $100 & turn it into 50K in 70 trades if you do 15% of $100 per trade. It's been done & done consistently year after year. I know people that do it!
All that i know is from many of my friends who have tried it. Now they say that even the dam graphics you are looking at are fakes and part of the scam. There is nothing true about what info you get. So it only make people put their money according to what is being displayed but in the end, they only give you back part of your money when the algorythm detect you are 'putting in the money'. Like any good casinos will do, it only try to make you come back for more. Giving you a little so you don't get discourage until you are hooked to the system and believe you can get away with more than you provide. A extraordinary scam. You are probably going to make more money with playing poker...at least you stand a chance. Even if you get some money back, you still are into a system that make you lose more than you will win.

The trick then is to have a realistic goal, stick on it, and although the gains can be small but if done frequently and consistently, the little gains can accumulate.

Hi james I was a chief fx trader at a large london city bank for 25 years....our trading room had 14 dealers..The traders were mostly young guys sorry girls but when it gets busy the language can be very bad... You also have to be a speacial type of person......Example be able to talk and hold three phone calls the same time, apart from a bank of telex machines wanting spot and forward rates..You cannot have fear or emotion ...A dealing room is a team unit and you must be able to work with other traders.....i would not recommend any person trying to trade on their own and make a profit.....If i wanted to trade now i do not have enough information on the world markets to be able to trade and make a profit.,,,hope this info helps you and anyone else that might be interested...

I agree with everything except there are trading strategies that actually work if you follow them no matter what & you can absolutely start with a small account for example, $100 & turn it into hundreds of thousands in a year or less.
