Santa has a black dagger blade with grey handle in the bag for me. Looking forward to it. In the great state of Kentucky a carry permit applies to automatic knives, so I can carry it. Just a quick note, the spring kits aren't for the manual one you bought. Boker actually doesn't ship any of them as automatic, they come as a manual knife with a push button lock. Knife retailers convert them and then sell them as auto where it's legal. If you look these up on ebay most of them will come as a push button manual knife. Pop a spring in and it's automatic.
I bought a Blade Ops exclusive with D2 steel for $44 and I think these are hard to beat. There's the tiniest bit of blade play even after adjusting pivot and I'm also not a fan of the way the pocket clip looks but ergos are great, the blade centering is spot on, and it deploys like a rocket. I've got Spydercos etc that were much more expensive but I do carry this one quite a bit. For the money it's too good not to love it.
I live in Boston, Ma. And *_YES_* its illegal to own an automatic knife here. Thing is though, there are a few companies, such as Blade Play and Blade HQ that will still sell us the automatics. I've purchased several already. Same with butterfly knives.
Trying to get one in Illinois Your allowed to get one if you have a foid card which I have. But you can only buy them from a Illinois dealer which I can’t find. The gun stores and knife dealers around me only carry Benchmade and other premium brands. I can’t spend $300 on a knife. I want a ak 74 bad!
Great knives! $40 ain't too bad, maybe if I get some extra money I'll make a purchase on one. That orange on green ones are cool. I kinda like those popping colors. The tan one would be for a tactical pack out vest.
I want the fluorescent green one soooooooo bad, but its no longer available! (as far as i know). Now im leaning towards the OD green handle and brown/copper blade.
Hi im a new subscriber and love ur knife videos. I just ordered a Ganzo 753 after watching ur video on it. My question is about the Boker Mini Kalashnikov. Being it is auto, how easy is it to trigger the blade to come out? I wanna get one for boot carry but im concerned that walking might hit the button and flip the blade out. That would spell bad news cuz I always put scary sharp edges on my knives. Thank you
you really need a dedicated push and decent travel to deploy the blade. Has never happened by accident to either of us but that's not to say it couldn't. Thanks for joining us!
Trying to decide between the 74 & Strike have you compared the two? The Strike looks like it might have a more comfortable handle but some say the Strike fires slower. Any observations?
the strike is note BUT the firing button is raised, mine has opened in my pocket NUMEROUS times. the little safety slider is worthless. the strike is in my drawer now never to be carried daily again, and the 74 is in my pocket daily.
I have yet to order a Kalishnikov. Please tell me, hows the weight? Idk about you, but i prefer my knives on the heavier side vs the light. Depending on a lot of course, including size, etc. But light knives feel extra cheap to me. idk
Those are great looking blades for the money.. There not legal here lol.. I have one of both the mini and the regular.. I live in one of those states.. You can get them shipped to you in auto trim.. From a place in Utah lol..
Not sure if I should start this conversation. Kershaw guy doe's not ship to not allowed states. Most others though from what I'm aware of do though. Want to hear a good one. I've got a felony and I'm not allowed to own a BB Gun the state says but they said I could own a crossbow.
I think if you will read the laws for Florida chap 720 I think, auto knives are illegal.. and this state is not so stupid as to allow city ordinances or community foolishness about knife or gun laws. Thats a purely yankee thing. taking your rights by inches. Why FL doesnt like auto knives? no clue.
It's 2022, and I just got my Boker Strike auto shipped to my place. You can get them even if the state does not like it.

So I’m kind of late to the party. But what is the difference between spring assisted and an automatic knife?
assisted still maintains some level of manipulation to actuate. Auto is simply switch or button.
BirdShot IV Thanks for the fast reply. :)

@@bryman31 the 74 doesn't pop open that often?
I have yet to order a Kalishnikov. Please tell me, hows the weight? Idk about you, but i prefer my knives on the heavier side vs the light.
Depending on a lot of course, including size, etc. But light knives feel extra cheap to me. idk
I wouldn't consider them super light or heavy, 3.70 oz
Can you remove the belt Clip?
I have the full size black on black. Love it
I looked on blade hq for the desert tan one, and they were out!!!
likely just temporary, that one is popular!

+BirdShot IV it looks the best and is easy to see if you drop it in the woods
agreed, we like the bright knives for backpacking/camping
+BirdShot IV I either want that or I want to see if the ganzo aluminum automatic knife is out
wish Florida would allow them!
stupid knife laws!
Billthesheepdog Not illegal in Florida as a state, but may just be illegal in your city or locality.
