    Hello everyone - we got there in the end. If you enjoyed this, hit that beautiful THUMBS-UP - Cheers! Great bit of kit this, aeronautics grade aluminium, and high yield 301 stainless steel picks. For me that's where it's value is, it's very, VERY, light on your keyring, without losing any strength.

      She snuck in herself, I was quite concerned when I watched the video back. If you like Jackknives, multitools, whatever you want to call them, it wins because it's light. That's not only better on your keyring, but better when picking as you're not fighting the ridiculous balance of a chunk of steel.

    Great looking tool mate and a great video again, you mentioned about how sometimes it takes longer to pick locks especially on camera thats what i love about your videos its true life we all struggle with locks at times and its so easy to watch certain pickers and feel inadiquate when they get fast opens, keep uo the great work buddy 🙂👍

      Sometimes I feel I should video me videoing, some of the near-yoga positions I'm in to make it happen. The cross-sections are the worst because I'm picking the front of the lock while looking at the back. But yes, I'm not going to edit out failed attempts to pick etc for the exact reason you said. Beginners get discouraged by it. Thanks for the kind words.

      Hello David. Thanks for watching. I haven't heard that Jacknife mentioned in years. I used to have the plastic version. Decent enough jacknife, I filed down the ball pick into a hook.Did you get the 30pc upgrade kit for the Skeleton?

    • @daviddittmar9450
      @daviddittmar9450 Год назад +1

      Yes, I got the 30 pack replacement pics. Don't get me wrong. I do enjoy the skeleton but not really for the price. I know a few years back when I got my RCS Jack knife. I was able to customize what came inside it so I got all hooks. And the body on it. I believe is aircraft aluminum, which is really nice. The only thing I've had to replace on it was the locking screw. I like to keep mine locked in place. So ya the threads sheared off after a while, Thanks again for the video I enjoyed it.

      @@daviddittmar9450 I really appreciate your feedback. A little improvement I've made to my Skeleton, I took a bit of 1000 grit glasspaper to the bottoms of the picks, where they sit on the...er...don't know what it's called. But it gives the picks a bit more friction, perhaps? Is that the word? I mean between each other. Albert Lebel suggested it to me. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. I like the RCS too - at least it had some kind of new feature, the locking arm, a lot of multi-tools are much the same, so always nice to have a bit of innovation.

      @LockPickingLegend  Год назад +1

      @@FriedPi-mc5yt Understood - I should also say, because it's light, it's more like using a pick than a Jacknife because the balance on them is usually terrible. I mean it's not perfect in that respect as there's 7 other steel picks in there - but an improvement on the rest for sure.

That is going out this week, possibly tomorrow. I think there'll be another expansion set soon where there'll be different gauges.

I try to do it on every video I watch now - having felt the pain. I was watching a football live watchalong the other night and he had 3000+ people watching, and only 70ish likes. Mr O'Gilmore - Happy Easter my friend. It's a cool tool, nice touch with the TOK. If you're going to bring another jacknife (or multitool as they seem to be called these days - I 'spose 'Jacknife' is too upsetting for people) at least offer something new. We just hit 2K subs! @@steveyogilmore5314 You can tension a lock from either the top or the bottom of the keyway. For years, decades even the default method to pick locks was in the Bottom of Keyway (BOK) but a few years ago people realised you could also tension the keyway from the Top of Keyway (TOK). Both have positives and negatives, things that free-up or impede the picking - and usually the lock dictates which one is best to use for that lock. There you go.

      @@LockPickingLegend I usually use a dental pick. Place pick TOK and 'jiggle' left and right whilst EPG'ing the pins and spin if required.
      The tip is very fine and doesn't get in the way and you can still adjust the pressure.
      Just something I've done for 15 years.

    • @LockPickingLegend
      @LockPickingLegend  Год назад +1

      @@steveyogilmore5314 I can see that working - you'd probably be better off putting pressure on just the clockwise direction though, as most locks open clockwise, and kind of 'pulse' the tensioner (or dental pick, lol) so you're moving through different tensions. Swinging it side to side is probably giving you that effect anyway, but it will be a lot less hassle to just go clockwise.
