The reason the moon clan has a third Shinto is because diferent things interact with diferent kinds of unites. There's one that only counts bushis and kamis for instance, so the shinto would be useless against it, but an extra bushi wouldn't hehe
@16:38 the exception only relates to kami unbound being able to change allegiance outside of a kami turn. Sun clan can still gain gold every kami turn. Which can be quite brutal for the player losing gold (I took 3 gold from the already poor bansai clan in one season).
