- This piano solo was composed by Chopin in 1832. Chopin himself considered this to be one of his best works.

"Tristesse" apparently means sadness in French, not a name given by Chopin.

Franz Liszt could sightread this perfectly and Chopin was actually jealous of the way he played all his etudes, which bhe had practiced so much on.
Ah, I remember playing most of thie piece when I was 14. The beginning (First page) Is pretty easy once you've practiced enough (Up to 1:16) The second page was pretty tough, but manageable. There was a pattern to it. (Second page ending around 1:55) (One of my favorite parts in this piece being 1:46-1:51). The third page... Was too difficult, so I never finished from then on xP But still, It's a beautiful piece, and I would recommend it to serious pianists.
i closed my eyes and flashbacks of my old friends came to mind, its magical
So effortless in lyrical beauty.
what are you talking about
Magic Piano!
My favourite chopin piece :)
My keyboard has this song on it, and I was determined to learn it, but it only plays up to about 1:15 of this video. The rest of it, I'd never heard before, and I LOVE it even more now.
It's hard, no question, but it's not as hard as it might look. It's basically just a set of small runs in threes. If you can get it down in slow motion, all you have to do is speed it up, and you'll surprise yourself with how natural it seems.
i used nothing else but this video to learn entire piece
The calm part of the piece was beautiful.
Love it!
This piece is so much better and beautiful when a human plays it on a real piano.
My favorite video of music
this reminds me of Beethovens pathetique sonata for some reason.
I thought to myself the same ...maybe thats why I find it so beautiful :)
Both are beautiful piece of music
Coz the name of that Beethoven sonata describes the way you play this Chopin Étude (pun intended). Lol. 😂😂😂
@Physicks
@@CatkhosruShapurrjiFurabji Are you Indian?
1:48 like this is cool and art but it doesn't even sound that nice in a masterpiece like this. Like 1:02 on is absolutely beautiful though
You probably don’t understand the mastery that Chopin put in this torrent of notes. Each of these notes belong to a descendant chromatic figuration made of diminished chords but they are broken.
Have you noticed that the right hand interlocks a chromatic scale made of two parts, and he put descending tritones in the left to perfectly do this.
Although many might agree with your point, just putting this “slob of notes” in the piece might make it weird, I think of it as an emotional outbreak, like the calm lullaby before the ascending b minor chords and then madness ensues.
I like it as a way of representing an emotional outbreak unexpectedly. I do understand what you mean though.
@@preludio423 Honestly, that comment was from three years ago. Upon hearing it again, I think it's awesome to hear actually. The contrast of tones are amazing. That being said, I'd still wager I have a lot to learn within classical music, the rhythms, the works etc.
The green and red bars are racing!
Love this song....
the beginning of this reminds me of some of the music used for Gankutsuou :the count of Monte Crisco anime
This is beautiful!
Everyone is correct, the middle part is the hardest, but don't count out the beginning, playing two parts with the right hand is tricky!
you play beautifully...
I Just Love The Part Between 0:51 - 1:14
exactly what i was thinking!!
fantastico!
i'm young and i want to be a good pianist but, after pieces like this, i don't know if i'll continue to play classical music, i've just 10 fingers!
@musicrocksf2w4
he had 2 just like us
the real amazement is how many fingers he had.
With a good deal of practice I could probably learn it.
We have an easy version of this one on our website!
Dear Chopin, was 1:47 to 1:54 REALLY NECESSARY?
its an Étude ;)
Belissimo - Per laquella Noté con té
How to be sad in two steps according to Chopin:
Step one: Play some slow melody
Step two: Get mad and smash up the fuckin' piano!
lol
@an1vamp1r3 i'm a very serious pianist but only 14 currently learning this and almost finished
I could probably plasy this piece if it wasn't for the part 1:57 - 2:07.... Thanks Chopin.
There is one of Le Chemin De Fer. Just look up "alkan synthesia."

+theTdawgYo XD the exposure adjustment effect my friend :)
@musicrocksf2w4
Two, obviously.
Can you please do one for Chopin Sonata No.3 1st Movement, 4th Movement. PLEASE I'm learning both for a competition in the summer and there are no other tutorial videos on RUclips.
Thanks =)
this is a very hard solo
Still a very hard solo
LOL 1:46 onwards just made me laugh in shock!
Do you by any chance have also a guide of how to do a heart transplant ?
Someone I know needs it real bad ...
This is definitly one of those songs you listen to and think, "Hmmm... It doesn't SOUND too difficult.. Maybe i can play it." Then you look at this and shit yourself. ^^;; I wonder if anyone has done a synthesia video on "Le Chemin de fer" by alkan. :D THAT is a song that is like... IMPOSSIBLE unless you are a piano god. O.o;
I have i two 25 min midis .one is all of op.10 the other all of op.25
In some ways, chopin's gentle pieces are far more challenging than his furious ones, such as the opus 25 12 or fantasie impromptu...
In other words, this song is hard
Hi, could do you do this same piece but with hand coloring please? It would really help. Thanks
Wtf are you learning it through the video?
Evidential why not
1:48 and i thought this was 50 times more boring than the other etudes
Agreed.
not only it is one of the finest piano pieces in history artistically, it's also one of the hardest etudes. Many things are to be called "boring", but hardly any in Chopin's work.
WILL LEARN!!! (Hands don't think so)
He grows new hands every minute lolz, it gets harder and harder :D
Hey I'm a French student and I would play this beautiful Chopin's opus. Thank you a lot for your synthesia but I'm thinking : are you absolutely certain that it's the exact, the accurate transcription of the original score?
I've not the time to check up because I'm not a the best with scores.
I need to know quickly because I must play this song in front of a jury of an examination.
Sorry for my bad translation.
Thank you a lot for your answer ! :)
It's a pretty accurate transcription, although the author did give a more human touch to it.
Its a race between the gray, red and green bar :D)
@teresahan1991 Yeah, if only I had... several more hands xD Do you play these songs that you've uploaded here? I mean, are you a pianist? These days, I often wish my parents had made me practice how to play the piano since I had been a kid. :l
I dare you to do Polonaise #6. I never knew my sis was into classical music, but she loves that song.
I will try.
Please, don't call it song
Reiza too bad
Reiza don't be a snob boo
@kowy88 It's the same as the bulk of the video, 3:00
2:00 0.o
1000th like
@froggermea96 But the grey bar was faster ;-)
Woah Papyrus
Wat
+Istari Pallando It's the "very nice" font used in the intro. Much people really hate it.
+Tvde1 Ah I didn't even see 😂
i think Chopin was angry for some reason at 1:40+ haha. XD he had god-like fingers. my gaaad. i think his finger could do "kagebunshi technique" from naruto. twas amazing. XDD
This music is also called 'The Best Way to Break Your Piano in Less than Five Minutes Using All of Your Eight Hands'.
1:57 God Mode Enable
cant find a song what is beautiful but what my piano teacher will let me play i love his song but idk if my piano teacher will let me play it/..."D
2.
0:00 - 0:50 Chopin is so nice
0:50 - 1:20 Chopin is cool
1:20 - 1:50 Chpoin is great
1:50 - 2:00 Chopin is crazy!
Is this the same midi off a Yamaha P-85? Sounds very similar.
can you give me the download link of chopin songs?? I don know where can i download all chopin songs...
Things went kinda wrong starting at 1:45
@inkfish123456 this is not a person playing...
@michaelarcangelo99 concurred.

@musicrocksf2w4 i had learned this....And i have only 2 hands. with 10 fingers xD
This is the least "Etude", that's way i like it so much
Hold on lemme go get myself an extra five fingers...
"Lemon incest" by Serge Gainsbourg with Charlotte Gainsbourg
Esta obra se necesita usar pedal? porque hacerlo asi ligadamente es muy complicado
+ElPeDriito Pues, supongo que sí. ._.
no es necesario el pedal en un gran cola, pero en un piano de pared no viene mal poner medio pedal
@musicrocksf2w4 Two.
@teresahan1991
Nice video, but the piece is an eTude not an eDude.
one of the harder pieces in my opinion
this is in which scales o.o
@musicrocksf2w4 Two; he probably used his feet. :)
i can play up to 1:17
this piece is easy... up to 1:43 :/
Agree, but then if you have few shots of expresso, you will be fine
then it's still easy...
+Alexander Lee dude, what up? lol
***** I'm the best ever, I'm the most vicious and most ruthless champion that has ever been, there is no one who can stop me, you think you're a conqueror? I'm Alexander you're no Alexander, I'm the best ever, I'm Alexander Lee there is no one who can match me, my style is impetious, my defence is impregnable, I'm just ferocious I want your heart I want to eat your children, praise be to Alexander the Great...
Alexander Lee yeah, well my ancestors were Robert E Lee and Light-Horse Harry Lee (no joke) lol
What is the name of the song in the intro?
kowy88 First, it's actually a piece. Piece equals no singing.
Second, it's the piece in the video. Just give it a listen.
wow this guy has to get real music on his ipod....
@musicrocksf2w4 2!!! D:
in fact this song must be played at 30 bpm, but all the notes make 1/4 of a beat. That makes that the score seems impossible...
:O = my facial expression the whole time.. he must have been on some kind of finger steriod or something!
Tristesse is sadness in french
Then again... I played it a tad slower =P
I have a book that tells you how to play this song
Isn't this too difficult... at least it is, as for me :'(
as a pianist with a 10 year experience...i can that this is waaay to fast, espacially the dark "solo" in the middle. and synthesia doesnt really play with any feeling... just saying
funny comments :P
who else watched the green bar chase the red bar?! xD
he was asian, I'm sure, no way normal people can do this
@trp8155 lol fail ;)
not Frédéric but Fryderyk
+WIIZZPL Nice troll, or pure idiocy
Not troll and not idiocy
Fryderyk is from Poland and I'm from Poland too so I know with one is right
We're both right, since his father is french, and forgive me dude ;) have a nice day :)
I have seen many people in my life and you are the only one who say only one bad (not really) word and have a nice day too ;)
*****
If he was writing his name in polish it will be Szopen
@Nat4Brendan no she didnt :D haha jk
impossible
