@@sdot.1701 That's true and you are correct. This entire thread is based in large part on personal perspectives. Mine is one also, but it's rooted in my experience of working with addicts. I talk nicer to people, but in reality, I'm saying the same thing that JM is saying. It is more than a notion (as the old folks say) to try to reason with a person whose entire life is based on compulsive and manipulative behaviors. A quick example of someone I worked with. From the day I met them, I "knew" (or greatly surmised) that they were "lying" (not being open or honest) about almost everything they were saying. Two years down the line, "You know, Ms. Serene, that I wasn't really telling you the truth about things I was doing". In my mind I was saying "no duh". Now because I'm a therapist and not a judge or parole officer, I refrain from calling people names such as "crackhead" and telling them they are liars. (that's just not me). I try to use strength-based techniques and treat them with "unconditional positive regard" (that's a concept of person-centered theory). JM is a judge and a whole different person in a whole different profession, PLUS he's a television personality.

He's wasn't out there like that in them streets. He did stuff as a juvenile like stealing bikes and candy. Probaly cutting school ,smoking weed and cigarettes. He act like he used to be out there like he shot people and killed people or beat people unconscious, and did heavy drugs. He's a Magristate judge and get all the cases from the higher judges. But his ego is to big. He need to be humbled or humble himself.
I didn't do nearly as much (or little) that you say JM did, and I feel I know the streets. Know them better than many out in them, because if they really knew the streets, many wouldn't be doing life on the installment plan in prisons and jails or abusing drugs just to live from day to day. Calling names and calling people out on their behavior are not the same. Now Wendy Williams made a whole living out of defaming and belittling people and didn't try to differentiate lies from the truth. "JM got mad at Wendy and said mean things about her." Some people get seriously hurt saying the kind of things that Wendy has said about people. IMO, Wendy Williams wasn't the right example to use to prove your point.

What does that mean that she doesn't "strike you as being someone that would steal to get her drugs, specially at her age"? What do YOU think she would do to get her drugs? Prostitute? Strong arm somebody? Rob banks? I do not mean to be harsh toward you, but as someone who works in the mental health and substance abuse field to HELP addicts, the things that you and others on this thread are saying are DRIVING ME BATTY. I would rush to hide my clients from many of you.
You need to come to my old neighborhood. Senior citizen thieves stealing to feed a habit
I disagree with the ruling. There was no proof that she stole the purse. Someone else may have taken it, and knew that the defendant would be the first to be blamed
Come on now man she is on drugs hard drugs at that and a purse come up missing and you telling me that she didn’t do it smh come on now
T Jones I’m sorry but maybe you have never been around a drug attic on these type of drugs. Good for you if you have not but unfortunately I have a few siblings and other Family members that were like this and trust me she took that purse.
I agree with you, ppl say "if you say where's the proof that mean u took it" & that's not really factual. Ppl have accused me & I've witnessed others being accused & I always say show the proof & ppl in the past get the proof that it wasn't me or it wasn't those they thought it was, now idk if that woman took it but if many ppl been in & out a place you can't just blame 1 when there was many that could have taken it just cause. You don't got to be on drugs to steal.

Judge treated both of them like shit. This case pissed me off he was really dead wrong
This is hard to watch 😢

She high as gas prices... I hope she gets the help she needs..
I hope in-treatment helps her
Judge Mathis was so nasty towards this lady. I think he gets flashbacks of when his drug addict family members messed over him. He has mentioned that before.
He definitely has flashbacks 😵💫

How do you relate to drug addicts? How often are you in the company of drug addicts?
Surprised the Judge didn't know what E.A.P. is.
That’s usually the first thing a guilty person will say “you don’t have any proof” or “you can’t prove it was me”!! (Also they will try to take the spotlight off themselves by accusing someone else in the family).
He was mean to that old lady
Ugh the way he talks to people can be so degrading! He acts like he knows everything about drug addicts & their actions.
Yeah, I don't like how he treated people who's on drugs that needed help. I feel bad for the defendant.
He talking as if she never said she needed help. That was one of the first things the defendant said. I think Judge Mathis let this 'crackhead' name calling thing get to him. He loves saying he's shaming them into getting help. I really think he just enjoys shaming them.
He's just being honest.. and he's right.
Did I miss something? Wasn't this about heroin?
@@kimberlyyoung2599 I’m not saying he is wrong. But he does this a lot. And it just seems like now instead of shaming them into getting help, (which is what he said he is doing)he is just shaming them.
@@sereneamani1713 it is but he uses the term “crackhead” a lot even when it’s not crack. I’m not just referring to this case.

Calling people names never solved anything. When Wendy Williams questioned him about his side chick, his and and wife allegedly 3some, and cocaine use. He Got mad at her and said mean things. But his ego is to big. He need to be humbled or humble himself.

@@aiziajackson-bartholomew7346 frfr
