Love them or hate them they have been doing some great releases since George kern took over. The price for these generic movements are overpriced but I’m all for their chronograph movement
I have a breitling superocean 44 on rubber strap. I am a commercial fishing vessel captain. The watch is thin eneough to fit under jacket cuffs, gloves neoprene cuffs. Takes a daily beating. On under or down below the FV Seaskimmer i have always appreciated the huge chapter ring fast to read for my drag/ haulback timing.
i have this watch in green with green strap, military style,my wife got me this for my 60th in August but gave me it early 3 weeks ago,i am a british army veteran ( why she got me this one )and i love this watch with a passion.the winged logo will come back eventually so this watch will become a collectors piece
Buy the Aquaracer. I will buy it next year when the prices drop a little bit more. 42mm, 48mm lug to lug, new movement with 80 hr PR that still beats at 28.800 bph, 4Hz, COSC. 3500 euros on rubber strap and 3700 euros on bracelet This new Breitling Avenger is 4600 euros on sailcloth strap and 4900 euros on bracelet, insane prices for an ETA 2824, al least for the price put the a goddamn ETA 2892 or the movement from Tudor. Dial, indices, hands, bezel and the new B logo look very cheap compared to the previous Avenger and people say the new Aquaracer is overpriced at 3500 euros with new movement and new clasp. LOL
The 12 and the 6 markers being exactly alike made the face look wrong. I flipped mine after a year since it was getting zero wrist time. Ended up with a SOH 2 on the bracelet.
Im Wearing the victorinox alliance dress watch with Leather strap, (quartz) Just a nice watch to put on coming home from work, it’s elegent, Will take a beating and feels great for a few hundred dollar and is swiss made
The Avenger was always one of my favorite watches, I'm concerned about this one, because it's smaller (an instant bad thing for us with 8 + inch wrists who want a large, legible, military watch) and the dial looks... lifeless compared to the last edition. Plus the loss of the winged logo... All for 1000 bucks more? ...I'll have to see it in person, but this seems like an enormous step backwards.
I always liked the Breitling Wings / Anchor for their logo. It's too bad Breitling didn't patent it more tightly. Invicta almost copied it identically. Longines "Flying Hourglass" also resembles an Invicta. It is imperative to protect logos or the brand is completely diluted.
I think they have screwed up big time with that logo They should have kept the original breiling wings for their avengers and the vintage wings for Navi timers and the B logo for their dress pieces. I personally feel a little cursive B isn't masculine enough for such a masculine watch
Despite the excellent finishing the 42 mm three hander seems very expensive for an off the shelf movement. I can buy a Formex Reef for less than half the price.
Looks like a dive watch, using basic ETA , not really an improvement ... however the new deploying clasp is a big step into the 20th century and it is a handsome design, but still , inside nothing revolutionary, but I still like it. in 2024 date should be at 6'o clock now.
I went to watch this watch and it is very disappointed. The finish is terrible. Only good thing is the quick adjustment apart from that they destroy this watch line.
21.5mm lugs - what the heck? 184 grams - dang, heavy! Hard to turn bezel 😬. 2824 ETA, 38hr is pretty sad. I’m bummed for under 70 hr these days. And 4K? C’mon Breitling, ug. For me today - Prospex LX 043 on the wrist - 105 gram, DLC Ti, 72 hr, lux bezel, lux lume, it’s a legit top gun 😉
This watch finish is very low for the price. Some seikos look better finish than this watch. That’s why this watch is the cheapest in the breatling line up.
Something tells me you are the same guy who doesn't like BMW M's because they are overpriced and much prefer the look and handling of a Honda Civic Si.
@@luxuryfood3810 my wrist is 6.75, it fits very nicely on me. I like the subdued look, doesn’t scream look at me and is classy to dress up or down. Won’t attract unnecessary attention and should remain relevant for years
Interesting report, the watch is very successful. . The work is a pure ETA movement. Unfortunately, at around $5,000, it's far too expensive. The Cadisen offered at Ali.., for example, is available for 80 dollars and brings nothing more and nothing less.

I agree, the 38 hour power reserve is pretty lame. But overall, Breitling is on a roll

Love the new GMT 44 with black face. Looks amazing and have gotten nice compliments. Logo is perfect and clean
Watch is stunning Breitling is killing it
The new tag heuer aquaracer 42 has a 80 hrs power resreve. Does this mean I should go for the tag?

the best breitling is the discontinued COLT with blue dial

Meh. The old version of the Avenger is the best buy.

i need this with a silver dial and open case back

It's okay, but spec-wise and finish, I much prefer my previous generation Avenger GMT.
Personally the 43 has a better look.

Yes but no one is paying 5k
For the price and power reserve.... NO!
