Hey , just found your channel. LOVE learning @ others feeding journeys. I just started using Unbeetable trio mix, its got the mini size pellets (my filly has a MAJOR choking issue) Alfalfa, Beet Pulp & Flax. LOVE it, they also make the small pelleted beet pulp and beet pulp shreds. All natural no binders, fillers, sugars.
@@rockfishfarm3185 if she has Cushing's the weight will be hard and my vet said February is month to test best. I had to feed mine 12 quarts grain but mine was 31 and at 32 collapsed and we lost her. Very beautiful horse. we slowly upped grain by Cups until reached 12 quarts twice a day. Mine had crushing's since age 6 year old.
❤ Hi if you see this. Hope you're all doing well. I just was curious about if you still own Dippin Dots but maybe it's a common name among leopard spotted Appys. Free Spirit Farm saw a Dippin Dots at an auction looking so much like yours. But I think they said he and was twelve years old. Also he had white in his forelock, but it was so funny though. ❤😊
Oh ok. Thanks for sharing. Her feet are just a mess because she was kept in a stall with no food :( Hoping her feet come along soon. I’ve been using the spray “sav-a-hoof” and it seems to be helping.
She is quite a nice pony....hate to see that they get in that condition but so glad she got a good home...hard to tell how big she is but if she is POA bred she will likely have a great temperament.
Thank you for the information! I’ve been trying to get my gelding fat again (thoroughbred issues) my vet recommended switching from Purina Senior to Nutrena senior. After the transition period, did you immediately go with the Nutrena AND empower or did you feed the Nutrena for a bit before adding the empower supplement? My guy has only been on the Nutrena (Proforce Senior) for less than a month (after the transition period) and I’m not noticing a huge difference yet. I’ve been slowly getting his weight up since he moved to my house in September ‘23
I think I left her completely on her original senior for about a week. I think at that point I switched the seniors out slowly. And maybe after she had been at my house two weeks or so I added in Empower and Alfalfa. Those aren’t like a “grain” so I wasn’t as concerned about adding them quickly.
Precious girl, bless her. ❤💪❤
She Looks Great & Beautifull
She is just gorgeous
Mine I bring out dish soap washed her hooves with dandy brush soap water rinsed that kept thrush away. It helped with abscesses also.
What a gorgeous horse ❤
Thank you! 😊
She looks great now! We put out round bales with a slow feed net year round. We love Smart Paks!
We use the slow feed nets too. I’ve thought about putting one behind our barn for the summer to rotate them. I may do that! Thanks for the info!

to me she looked as if they forgot to feed her. Now she looking good. Knabstrupper is this might be her breed? what a beauty..
I know right. They truly didn’t feed her :( She is a Leopard Appaloosa.

That Empower is amazing stuff. I’d go ahead and add that in and I bet you’ll start to see a difference!
