"Ripped Pants" is just one of so many bangers from this show. It's still one of my favorites because of the message that you don't need to make a fool of yourself to impress your friends, just be yourself.
Spoilers: To be fair, Squidward does have some genuine jerk moments: taking a prank too far, dumping his responsibilities at work on SpongeBob, genuinely putting SpongeBob down when SpongeBob is really just trying to enjoy himself. Even as an adult, I mostly find SpongeBob charming. His only real failings are that he doesn't respect Squidwards privacy and can't accept that not everyone wants in on his antics. I'd add not being a good neighbor to that list, but Squidward is also a terrible neighbor.
Being a teenager is realizing Squidward is relatable. Being an adult is realizing that he's a total asshole who brings it on himself at least 90% of the time.
Plankton is one of the absolute best villains in the history of television. Doig Lawrence's voice is iconic. He's one of those bad guys who gets so close to winning so many times but still fails so many times that at some point, you just want to see him win. I absolutely love him.

i think what's interesting about the dynamic between Spongebob, Patrick & Squidward early on, is that you can tell how relatable it really is in alot of ways. like Spongebob wanting to do his own thing, but not trying to be a bother. Squidward has a high horse, but generally he keeps to himself until problems start appearing around him. Patrick is an idiot, but more in the simple, fun having sense and less "stupid is the only personality that exists". even when they aren't the cause of the problem, Spongebob & Patrick attempt to help Squidward in some ways. both of them care about him, they just are...really bad at not preventing screw-ups.and even when Squidward just doesn't care, that doesn't mean he's not willing to killl time with them on some level, even if it is selfish.

A play being called Gas Light because of the significance of a literal gas light in its plot isn't the same as the term "gaslight" being used as a verb to describe situations like what happened in that play.

13:35, man in elementary school, they made us pick instruments to play in 4th grade, but everyone also had the option to not pick one and continue the regular music class. I didn’t pick an instrument, which I am so grateful for, because I not only saved so much money for my parents, but time and effort for myself. Probably the only time I’ve been glad not to learn something.
I remember back in middle school people were calling me Squidward since I decided to play clarinet. Tbh that’s what I kinda expecting since I thought I could do better than him. But my god, the reed taste in my mouth became so unbearable
Man, I started playing clarinet BECAUSE of Squidward. Ended up playing all the way through high school and even today through community band. I played multiple school musicals, went to Puerto Rico and Spain through band trips, and got to March in the Rose Parade twice thanks to Mr. Tennisballs! Also, two words my friend: plastic reeds. No need to wet them, no wood taste, and sure you may not get the best sound quality, but man once I started, I never went back lol!
Gaslight was absolutely a term back then. The term came from an old black and white movie where a man kept turning down the gas lamp in his living room to make his mother in law think she was going blind. She'd ask him if things were dark, he'd say no, and then turn the light back on when his mother in law asked his wife to come see if it was dark. She'd say it was okay to her as well since he turned the light back on. Thus he was "gas lighting" his mother in law with the gas lantern.
Honestly I’d like to see her react to some of the sonic shows like sonic boom for example. Because she’s already reacted to sonic boom out of context. Granted that was ages ago now.

The Wendy's Krabby Patty was just a normal burger with a different name. They didn't even at least use a round patty or arrange the toppings in the canon order. From what I've heard, it just tastes fine though. Like if you like normal Wendy's burgers, you'd probably like it. I did read that they used a certain sauce on it but it's not even the only burger they have that uses that sauce.
Philosophy is a limited major but an EXTREMELY valuable minor or second major because it allows you to view things critically from varied perspectives much more easily, it is especially useful not just for teaching or law, but for anthropologists, psychologists, sociologists, politicians, and journalists and media analysis and criticism as well. Heck, it is even useful in the other sciences as it can cause you to approach things differently and find out things about reality many people may not even guess actually happen or happened. Speaking as a biologist, I use my philosophy education constantly. Philosophy majors make a median of about $77,000 per year and I have seen many of them in the law and business executive worlds. It is the most useful degree out there but you need to learn to apply it to whatever career you choose. If you narrow your career to the name of your major, then you will have trouble with any degree. Not many job openings for "biologist" or "chemist" either, but both of those degrees are highly pursued in the adjacent industries like programming and data science. Living example, my friend got his degree in Philosophy, and he was paid $2000 per week to tell people their TV show concepts made no sense.

Till my friend asked me where I went last night. I'm sure I just walked over, sat down at the spot we practiced and walked back because no one talked about it.
It's funny how throughout the show, Squidward is so mean to the only two people who idolize him and think he's cool. if you watch till the end you see a crab doing a backflip, only happens if you watch the whole video, then like and sub though.
YAAY! hope you watch all the first 3 seasons.
Karen knows her husband well.
24:29 was about to say SpongeBob is also a fast food worker but he’s 100 percent also a class traitor so lol
Im sure its been mentioned but Tom Kenny who voices Spongebob also voices The Ice King on Adventure time.
If she's reacting to Spongebob, we *have to* get her to watch Gumball at SOME point if she hasn't alredy!
No! NOOOOO!
@@judehylton466why? A lot of people love that show. And what’s better is that it’s coming back with another season.
Plankton: I WENT TO COLLEGE!
Me: Did you graduate?
Crab and big ups for the rat queen👑🐭
Fun fact: Bikini Bottom is based on the Bikini Atoll, in the Marshall Islands... a place known for the fact a ton of nuclear experiments took place there. Sooo...
Squidward becomes more relatable as time goes on. His demeanor doesn't change much, we just get older.
People with Philosophy degrees make a shit ton of money, saying that’s useless is peak brain rot.
I didn't remember ripped pants being so early in the series, but they really did just bust out a whole ass all timer beach boys parody song in episode TWO
I remember when I was a kid and I went to Blackpool and I saw a tiny “crab” on one of the steps and I was terrified not wanting to get off the donkey I was riding (child me was pretty much scared of everything except his shadow)
I think your the first VTuber to react to SpongeBob episodes so congratulations.
I played the flute in high school and I was the only guy who did . At band camp the flute practice was in the girls dorm which no guy was allowed in but me. I'm not saying this to bragg but because I sleep walked into the girls dorm and came back. I dreamed of walking into there but I just thought it was a dream. Till my friend asked me where I went last night.
I'm sure I just walked over, sat down at the spot we practiced and walked back because no one talked about it.
the thing to remember with Patrick, he has 2 brain cells and they're fighting for 5th place
Alicia: That answers my question: He a bum! He don't got money!
Me: What do you expect, he lives under a rock.
Spongebob has a gift for trapping air in a thin layer of soap.
Next is the amazing world of gumball
It's funny how throughout the show, Squidward is so mean to the only two people who idolize him and think he's cool.
Also, Alicia, your business rivals are officially going to be known as the Chum Bucket from now on.
And Squidward is going to suffer far more injuries. Some of them far worse. Karma has it out for Squidward.
28:43 they have a few of those, one that practically everyone loves is in season 4 episode 3
It's slightly off subject, but Bluey really is a good show. Like, I wasn't expecting it to be that funny to me. Bandit, the dad, is hilarious.
He may be a bit CRABby, but Squidward is my spirit animal
We're all a little bit Squidward.
He's Squidward, they're Squidward, I'm Squidward.
