Im not a vegan and dont criticise me for saying this but if i was there i would have tried to save the warthog instead of just sit there watching and filming cause i dont like seeing animals get killed especially if its a slow painful death as they struggle for freedom while basically screaming for help and from pain (its more of a cry for help cause i noticed animals that have the ability to scream wont even be getting attacked but from being cornered or just grabbed, they scream) and to all of you who say stuff like "animals are meant to be killed/eaten" no they aren't but predators have an excuse and that excuse is "instinct" its what they are born to do, but we humans have 2 different terrible excuses and they are "meat tastes good" and "cause we can" and those 2 "reasons" is why everyone thinks "we need meat to survive" but here is reality "we need meat cause fruits and vegetables taste like crap" we dont need meat at all and its kinda greedy to take the life of another living thing just cause it tastes good, i eat meat but that doesnt make it right... Infact if meat was no longer available and animals stopped being killed i would be fine with that..... I cant stand the taste of vegetables but i love fruit! and i swear if a single person calls me a tree hugger/hippy or something stupid like that then i completely just freakin give up on society! My point is, that leopard had an excuse to kill the warthog but we dont have a proper excuse for all the animals we kill, also life is full of choices, example: You can save prey from predator and the predator will be hungry for another day or 2 or you can sit and watch or just move away and the prey dies and the predator lives to kill more, either way if you choose save then there are multiple outcomes. Its either: (You save the prey animal and yourself, you feel amazing for doing so and the predator will either starve or move onto the next animal, either way, you saved the life of another living thing, with almost no downside), (you save the prey animal by sacrificing yourself, you are in severe pain as you watch the animal you just saved run away! But you feel good knowing you atleast did something good), (you live but fail to save the prey animal, you either feel nothing or you are upset from your failure) or (you both die and either: Neither of you go down without a fight or you both die very quickly or one dies quick as the other fights for survival but dies in the end) oh and dont say "this is the real world, buddy its nature" cause real nature is full of choices! Im done with my rambling now, but i hope atleast someone agrees with this!

I've witnessed Warthogs keep Wild Dogs at a distance by always facing them front-on baring their tusks (this assumes it's an adult/male warthog as well, who is sizable and has grown out tusks to begin with)... but this is a different situation altogether. Leopards are extremely stealthy and Warthogs get caught very much by surprise, and once caught, unless it has like 10 other warthogs nearby to assist, it's a goner.

It is mostly the successful hunts that are filmed. Warthogs aren't always taken when they are hunted and chased. Also, they have sharp, powerful tusks that can potentially ward off predators. They are also pretty fast, and alert. Lastly, don't forget that they also hide in burrows, making it difficult for certain predators to get at it.
