I was a GoPro fan until a couple years ago. I just got tired of them freezing up and shutting down when the temperatures fell below 55 degrees Fahrenheit and very tired of them overheating and shutting down when it got over 90 degrees Fahrenheit. I film in the outdoors when I’m hiking, hunting, or just frolicking around in the forest….Ive lost so many great opportunities to capture amazing footage due to them shutting down. If the GoPro shuts down from overheating they would sound off to let you know, but if they shut off from being too cold they didn’t make a sound at all….so I would be under the impression that it was still filming until I checked. I wore the GoPro on my head strap so it was an inconvenience to remove it to see if it was still filming. I gave away my GoPro 8, 9, and 10….BUT , I purchased a DJI Action 3 and was hooked! I now have the Action 3 and Action 4 and they have never shut down or stopped recording due to high heat or very cold conditions. The battery life is also superior to GoPro, FAR superior! I’m anxiously awaiting on the release of the DJI Action 5 Pro, I’m definitely going to get it to add to my camera gear! Good honest review Danny, and thanks for sharing. And BTW, I didn't even know they had unboxings on Amazon.
I recently received my magnetic connector and it works fantastically with my GoPro 9 and 10. It's one of the best accessories I've ever bought from GoPro. They even include three cables of different lengths with a single door. I hope Ulanzi or Telesin will soon release a compatible door alone for GoPro cables. After watching the close-up shot, I've decided to reconsider buying a macro lens. While it might be beneficial for food bloggers, it doesn't seem to be the best fit for my needs. I've already purchased the wide-angle lens version one, but it has its drawbacks. It's not waterproof and limits video recording to 2.7K. To avoid making similar mistakes, I'll be waiting for reviews on both wide-angle and anamorphic lenses before making my final decision.

@@justgregnow The design has changed quite a bit. But that's like saying Nissan Sentras haven't changed in years. They look the way they look because that's how they're designed to look.
I saw one video where a guy showed that the GoPro performed better in the water because of the lens coating. Than the DJI. It sounds like a little thing, but that may be important if the GoPro is the camera that you're going to use in any wet situation.
Almost bought the 13, coming from a 12. Figured I’d wait and see how it goes being out to see if it was really worth the upgrade. So far not so much besides accessories.
yea, even with most of those its not yet worth it. alot of times i dont think the companies expect people to upgrade year over year, but from a 10 to a 13 (if you do more post editing with your footage) it would be a great upgrade

@@AdventureTimMedia the Action 5 is an incremental upgrade over the 4 at best. Nothing really impressive about it.
I have a 12, thinking about buying a 13 so I have two.😃😁
I’m just gonna stick with my GoPro 7 not unless it die on me than I will upgrade to the latest version ✌🏽
What's with the DJI mic audio? Dull and missing sibilants. Don't tell me you can't hear those shortcomings. What happened?
so thats what any bluetooth mic connected sounds like, despite how good the mic is... really annoying... i clicked internal recording on the mic, heard it vibrate like normal and thought it was on, but it wouldnt work when it was connected to the gopro via bluetooth.. which was odd... so i just had to roll with it
@@MrBlackReviews So the mic is fine, it's the Bluetooth in the GoPro?
@@MrBlackReviews I've heard about that problem before, with the DJI Mic 2. You can record internally or on the GoPro, but not both.
Thanks Danny❤
Hey man! Can you connect 2 mic at once without connecting the receiver?
i’ll check on that. i don’t think it does, so if you don’t hear back from me in an hour, it’s safe to say it doesn’t lol
@@MrBlackReviews lol I’m deciding on your reply if I’m buying the GoPro 13 or the DJI that’s coming or the current one which is yet very amazing. 🤞🏻
@@SekelJeet ill still answer... it doesnt support 2.. i tried to connect to the second one and it just removes the first one
(i'd wait.. if its for the 2 mic reason :D )
@@MrBlackReviews Thanks so much Dann! For taking time and checking that for me. I’ll wait and see after the release of Dji action 5.
Great stuff! If you are familiar with gopro labs, seems "wide" is not for 13 just 11 and 12. What do you think? Is it already in 13?
i tried the labs thing when it came out, but since not much happened the last couple of years i stopped, but i havent seen if wide is not available. seems like an odd mistake if it wasnt there
Love your videos, battery door can also download media fast.
oh really??? its not just for charging but you can connect it to your computer? cant wait to test that out because that would be very convenient. THnaks Dubob2
@@MrBlackReviews Just tested on my Samsung Phone.
So does the 13 have the ability for BT mics?
same as the hero 12. (just one mic)
I have 2 GoPro 11's and a insta 360 Ace Pro there's no need to upgrade. I feel like GoPro and Apple have the same design team 🤔 The iphone 16 is basically the 11 with updated internals
You're so wrong. I have the iPhone 15 Pro Max and it's incredible.
yea its tough, i reckon alot of times the companies dont expect people to upgrade year over year, but i will say their announcement video was also lacking a LOT of hype compared to the others
@Cameraflyer- maybe read what I wrote. There's nothing wrong with the iphone. It's just the design hasn't changed in years.
@@justgregnow The design has changed quite a bit. But that's like saying Nissan Sentras haven't changed in years. They look the way they look because that's how they're designed to look.
Great transition 🎉
that’s a fun one to do when it’s the same size on the box :)

Next video GoPro Hero 13 VS Go3s
September 19, DJI Action 5 announcement. Waiting for Insta360 Ace Pro 2 announcement too, not sure when it will be announced this year.
ya. some good things to come still!!
Its getting released at 11pm AEST, 6AM in LA and 2PM in the UK. From what I've seen so far, its gonna be a good one.
I saw one video where a guy showed that the GoPro performed better in the water because of the lens coating. Than the DJI. It sounds like a little thing, but that may be important if the GoPro is the camera that you're going to use in any wet situation.
❤❤
love you danny
Seems like it might be prudent for GoPro to sell the business.
why u not release a new giveaway
there will be one someday soon.
Your video is good! The GoPro is not....
great video
it’s kinda nice just strolling and talking with out a lot of extra hype
Almost bought the 13, coming from a 12. Figured I’d wait and see how it goes being out to see if it was really worth the upgrade. So far not so much besides accessories.
yea, even with most of those its not yet worth it. alot of times i dont think the companies expect people to upgrade year over year, but from a 10 to a 13 (if you do more post editing with your footage) it would be a great upgrade
Same here. Haven’t upgraded yet. Started toying with the idea of changing brands (almost a blasphemy for me). Is that a fair decision? Dji perhaps? Action 5 when it comes out?
@@MrBlackReviews Agreed. I’ll wait till the 14, maybe, and try and use my 12 more and work on my channel the best I can.
In financial trouble.
Upgrades are a gimmick and a money grab .
No thanks.
Hey man! Is it possible to connect the dji mic 1 or only the dji mic 2 ? Great video!❤
thanks stayhard61... just the mic 2, because the mic 1 doesnt have BT (i just tried and nothing comes up)
Only the DJI Mic 2. The DJI Mic 1 doesn't have Bluetooth.
