Glad they're getting more recognition these days. When I first heard The Nocturnal Silence years ago, it got me hooked. It was everything I loved about Dissection but blacker and more sinister. And it seems like they still put on a good live show, so that's pretty cool.
Fuck me, how to forget that ol' cassette tape THE NOCTURNAL SILENCE. Blew my fucking head off, hail NECROPHOBIC. Cheers from Chile!

How did I only discover this band last year?! They've been going for over three decades now!
I've listened to their entire discography now, and they seem to just keep getting better (though "Death to All" is my personal favourite..."Celebration of the Goat" has got to be one of the best album opening tracks ever).
Why all the negative comments? This band kicks ass!!!!!

@@seba.makron Most Wacken recordings are waaay worse than this, I can hear almost every instrument and the vocals very clearly, and for this band, it almost sound studio, since their studio recordings are not that much cleaner than this.
@@seba.makron Nah, technician did a good job. But it's taken from the soundboard and it's not meant to be listened to like this. Mixed for a live setting.

I wish the guitars were a bit higher in the mix, especially Bergebäcks. I can hardly hear him sometimes. Maybe I'm getting old. But great stuff as always nonetheless.

I had follow Necrophobic since the 90s and they are one the few band that has an original sound ! Not copy like all the new technical Death metal or new black metal crappy sound !!!
I like that both their vocalists, plus the guitarrist's backing vocals, are extremely clear, pronounce perfectly and that really dirty and classic Swedish black metal rasp, Anders current vocals remind me a little of Legion-era Marduk.

Ich hab im Zelt gewartet, getrunken, gewartet, getrunken ... noch mehr getrunken und als es losging war ich nimmer gewollt aufzustehen und bin nach ca. 10min kurzzeitig eingepennt.
Angesichts der Musik und Lautstärke sowie meinem Zustand hab ich es für klug befunden zum Camp zu latschen und zu pennen.
War das der Abend an dem Sabaton spielte?
... hab ich verpennt und wurde vom Roten Baron geweckt. Eieiei hab ich mich geärgert seitdem hat der Rote Baron eine ganz spezielle Bedeutung für mich und ich muss unweigerlich an Wacken denken.
Wacken ... heute wär ich aufm Full Force. Scheiß auf Strand und co. aber die Festivals fehlen mir wirklich schmerzhaft.
Saw them a few months after this in Germany in December '19. They were by far the best band of the whole festival! Apart from Dissection, no band ever sounded like this. Like a raging storm of unbelievably gripping melodies and a fucking nordic icewind blasting in your face at the same time. Keep it going, guys!! ☠☠🖤🖤

Don’t go judging a band off recording of live show? It never sounds good? These guys kickass, when your one of the early acts you don’t have any control over recording or sound for that matter. Nature of the beast
True Extreme Metal... Perfect mix between Bathory and Slayer...
Other than their name they got nothing in common with Slayer. The guyd have an original sound. Obviously a Swedish one but a mix between black/death. One cannot say that they are a copy of someone else. Also they never released crap or mediocre albums.

These kind of clear, dirty and raspy vocals are very common in Swedish death and black metal, especially the 90's.
Certainly he reminded me of Legion.

Haha! Was at the Maryland Death Fest a couple years ago, and the same thing was happening at the Impaled Nazarene set. I actually felt bad for them. First of all, as far as I’m concerned, ImpNaz ceased to be a serious black metal and a long time ago, so when Mika was trying to get the crowd into it, he was struggling to begin with. It was even worse cuz it was broad daylight and beach balls, inflated pink unicorns, etc..., were bouncing all over the place.
