Looking at how he describes a magnet attracting lead, not a bright one.

Oh yeah, I always wondered where all those Kings and Queens in London get their tables. Every time I see one of the many Kings and Queens of London playing pool I just ask myself what it would take to get a table like that.
😂😂😂

Lead isnt magnetic. So try again bud
Yep, i came here to say that 😂🤣😂
This guy is a shmuck, the cue ball is slightly smaller than the other balls, so when they pass the TRACK (not the subway system) the cue ball drops through
he misspoke...they likely use another metal and a powerful magnet
@@connorhill3796 some of them do have a proper magnet instead of being slightly smaller, mainly English ones use the smaller way of doing it
United billiards tables, as well as several others, use an oversize cue ball, including some of the older Valley tables. Most went to steel core cue ball so the cue ball would be the same 2 1/4" as the object balls.
No Way!!! I just left from a work trip in NY and downloaded a bunch of random videos to watch on the plane ride home. My hotel was around the corner and i saw this place in Google maps a few days ago. Wanted to check it out before leaving - so trippy that i was literally just walking around the showroom several hours ago! 😀
There's something truly satisfying about walking around a table at the end of a game and gathering the pool balls.
We should play together then. I hate doing that
Absolutely. You'll never see a quality 6x12 table where the balls are collected at one end. That's a stubby little 4x8 or 4.5x9 bar table for blind people to play on. Its also noisy every time you sink a ball. If you can't be bothered to pick up the balls out of a few holes you have no business playing.
@@swilhelm3180Don’t be a hater Minnesota FATS. Some people like ball return pool tables just like some like drop pockets. Get over yourself!
They're referring to coin-operated pool tables that separate the cue ball from the numbered balls.
By the way, there are actually 3 different ways to separate the cue ball. 1) Magnetic. There is a magnetic strip on the side of the gully (not "subway"). The ball has a ferrous exterior. As it passes next to the magnetic strip, the ball is pulled into another track. 2) Over-sized cue ball. All of the balls pass through a metal box. There is a spring mounted on the underneath side of the top of that box that diverts the over-sized ball to another track. All of the rest of the balls pass straight through. 3) Weighted cue ball. In this system, all of the balls pass over a scale that is calibrated to remain in the up position for the smaller numbered balls. When the heavier cue ball passes over the scale, the scale lowers and the cue ball is diverted to another track.
**BONUS FACT** An over-sized cue ball will work in a table that is designed for a weighted ball; since, the over-sized ball weighs more than the rest of the balls. It will also work in a magnetic type table. As the cue ball gets to the area where the magnetic strip is, the slightly larger diameter of the ball causes it to roll into the cue ball return gully. Magnetic cue balls, however, will only work in magnetic-type tables and weighted cue balls will only work in a scale-type table.

Pool table to dining table is brilliant. Especially for a 6x12 which almost nobody seems to have space for.
A molding convertible would be even more so. Wonder why no one has dared yet.
How is the cue ball attracted to the magnet when lead is not magnetic?
crispy Pace He misspoke. It’s a layer of iron, the metal composition can vary slightly by manufacturer.

It isn't a family business any more. Ronnie Blatt sold out years ago.
And aptly over-priced.
What an amazing business these people have, real artisans

Any business that has to double speak equal parts "tradition and innovation" has no long term plan they're riding the fence for as long as the Illuminati pool table crowed will hold their bubbled ass up, then they will hit up the government for a "heritage" bailout, then sell their brand to a Chinese company in a few years and outsource all production and take the golden parachute out. Goddamn its good to be born a 3rd gen business owner.

Your words have a comical bite to be sure but you're being a little harsh. I do believe they are trying to keep alive a tradition of craftsmanship that is rare these days. Some stunning tables for sure. 🤩
well... tbf... just because some celebrities likes the tables, doesn't mean they are good...
I don't doubt that they are good but celebrities tend to like stuff that gives them a status (like Beats headphones) way more often than they like something that's actually functional (like Audiotechnica Headphones).
I'd rather ask someone like Florian Kohler, Shane van Boening or Jayson Shaw what they think about the table as they actually know what makes a table a good table...
Exactly!
Yeah, most pros are playing on diamonds that cost like 4K.
I was wondering how the tables play and what the pros use.
They didn't mention anything about how their tables play.

If theres lead in the cue ball wouldn’t it have a weight difference? Or at least an inconsistent strike spots compared to other balls?
I didn’t know it was so complicated
In europe the cue ball is different size to main balls, and thats how the pub pool tables know between cue ball, and other balls
Interesting in this companies tables, they have a magnet in the cue ball
