Hey Guys, Fills those apple tubs way up with soil. They are notorious soil eaters. Then later on you can gently lift the tree and add the soil in the bottom to bring back up. If you get it right the 1st year then you won't have issues later on with the trunk. Beautiful Greenhouses. I'm so jealous. LOL

I love growing citrus but mine are little in buckets in the house all winter. But one sad thing on seed grown citrus is they sometimes never fruit. I have a 20+ year old lemon that sadly has never bloomed. I figured it was due to it being in a pot. But after chatting with a citrus grower while on vacation back where I used to live he mentioned that its a really really lucky seed that gives a tree that fruits.
But he does say he uses the non fruiting stock to graft fruiting trees on as the tend to be a really sturdy plant. So I might try my hand at grafting.
There are some citrus that will produce fruit from seed grown but they tend to be the more natural/ less tamed types like key limes.
While I love pole beans I might have to put those Cherokee yellow on my wish list for seeds.
    Have a great day!🥰

I have 2 Satsuma trees in their original containers. Is it too late in the season to repot them? I was originally going to plant them in the ground but I'm afraid it's too late for that. They are expected to fruit out next year. I don't want to cause it damage if I haven't already but not repotting it before now.
I have those cattle protein buckets that I'm considering to put them in.
