"Alright, Kengo isn't that important to the plot. No need to make the track go so hard." So...I then proceeded to turn Hyenas Wheezing up at max volume.
Too bad he doesn't come back in LJ as a short cameo like a side case. Lorewise he's extremely likely to join up with RK, which he didn't, which is confusing as hell, or at least have him be part of Higashi's remnant group. Both Kengo and that Sumo guy too
@@kovach00 yes, there are no separate volume controls for voices, effects and music in Yakuza and Judgment games on consoles. Not sure about the ones running on the old engine, but with the dragon engine games it’s like that for some nonsensical reason
Its extremely off to have Unwavering Belief on Iwami because this is not a fight between convictions of two men, it's a power-hungry psycho against a man protecting what he loves. Nothing can replace The Way of Life, it's Kiryu theme showing Iwami what he is, what he lives for and the consequences of getting in his way If anything, Iwami gets the Viper theme, as he's cold blooded like Soma. And Koshimizu gets K.O.G, because he was the same as Akutsu, following orders and didn't really agree with his boss Iwami/Soma. And also the sub-boss second in command of his faction Unwavering Belief is Kiryu vs Yuta
you're on spot, but I mainly made these because they "fit" as in Koshimizu - penultimate boss aka Soma (plus both of them use some sort of a knife) Iwami - final boss aka Kuwana
Just finished Lost Judgment last night and goddamn Someya fits Sadamoto's theme (even tho i haven't played Kaito Files cuz im still saving for Yakuza Ishin Kiwami at the moment)
You know the thing with Yakuza 6 is that it feels wrong somehow, and Judgment and more importantly Lost Judgment they feel so right. So smooth. I can't think of any other reason than Kiryu's moveset in Y6 being too sluggy.
@@kovach00 That Y6 feels weird and slow. Like the hitting people and they bouncing everywhere, sure whatever. But the combo gets cutoff way too many times unless you get those time reducing attack upgrades to make every hit you can get in to count. At some point my fingers hurt of mashing the buttons unlike in past games.
@@wilsonso5784 Y6 was the very first game on the Dragon Engine, and they sure as shit hadn't worked out all the kinks yet. Furthermore, they had to transfer over an existing character's moveset to the new Engine whereas Yagami was built from the ground up with the Dragon Engine in mind. Plus the DE's floaty nature doesn't really suit a grounded fighter like Kiryu very well imo, it's perfect for an agile high-flyer like Yagami.
Lost Judgment really had some bangers in it. Really enjoyed that game
the soundtrack alone makes me wish I could play both, shame us PC players only got the mainline series only

Now for the opposite. Judgment and Lost Judgment dynamic intros with tracks from the Yakuza series
would gladly do that if I could play those
update: i got the game, but I can't mute the music for some stupid reason (they didn't include it in the settings lmfao)
If i recall correctly Spotify will mute in game music

nah , Iwami dont deserve that Unwavering Belief :))
unwavering belief is overkill for iwami
he needs a substory theme
Unwavering Belief goes so hard
Bro the viper dynamic intro for final koshimizu fight is fucking sick
Unwavering belief just works with everything huh
This was indeed Yakuza 6 but it has Judgment/Lost Judgment OST
no way, KENGO MATSUGANE FAMILY HYENAS WHEEZING JUDGMENT JUDGE EYES himself
yes way KENGO MATSUGANE FAMILY HYENAS WHEEZING JUDGMENT JUDGE EYES

I think it still fits cos iwami is still fighting for something even if it's utterly inhuman.
These work surprisingly well nice
Man, all of your picks were perfect. Makes me want to do a similar video in the future. I hope you'll make more like this!
I like how both Koshimizu fights here use Viper, just like in LJ where both Soma fights used it.
I love Y6 OST, but JE/LJ/KF fits great
Tesso's theme definitely fits Ed

All of these fit except K.O.G. and Viper
i feel like electronic musics just dont fit right with Kiryu, can kinda see why they have since gone electronic for the 2 new protagonists
I think penumbra is more suitable for Iwami Tsuneo
Cool
I’m curious, would you pick linage of clan or Last assassin for Jo?
yep

Hopefully, RGG studio don't reuse music assets)
Best Match Is FinalSomeya
Should have used The duel (KF) for Someya last fight
a happy song doesn't fit one of the most tragic fights in the franchise tbh
