One of the most tasteful drum compositions by Ringo. I can't think of anything that would serve the song better. Amazing, just amazing, and you covered it to perfection. ☺️♥️
Thanks for putting this up! It's funny how RUclips picked yours as the first one, and you are the only one who gets it right (!) I'm not a drummer, but I've been fascinated by the restored Beatles video of this song, and am intrigued that their drummer apparently used to ask for lyric sheets, rather than chord charts. He really does play the song, not a "beat". But in The Beatles video, you can't really see how he's doing it all (although you do see him mouthing the lyrics during a break...) Anyway, now I see. (The other covers didn't, for example, go around hitting the toms and then the snare during that particular section of the song, as just one example.) Anyway, thank you!
I know exactly what you mean. I never payed any mind or attention to music for the first 20 years of my life, it was just a background thing. Once i started listening to the Beatles it all clicked and made sense!! Skip forward 2 years im now balls deep into music theory and my passions are playing base and drums. Ringo is honestly my favorite drummer ever, as you said he plays the song not a beat
