Incomparable addition to any home theater, adds an unprecedented level of excitement and engagement while upping the level of full immersion! My family would be floored!
This is awesome. My wife normally does not like things like this but she watched the video with me and actually loved it. It is rare for wife to like and appreciate something as mind-blowing as this. We recently decided to start having a monthly movie nights with family and friends at our home. This would make quite the first impression with guys and gals to have this in our newly purchased home. We are crossing our fingers and wishing for the best. Cool stuff!!!
I think you did a great job & can relate to the difficulty of explaining the experience. I have a similar home theater setup and I do have quite a number of Philips Hue products, but not for the home theater. It would be awesome to upgrade my home theatre experience like you and your friends did. Especially for the next Expanse & Mandalorian shows. Thank you for your informative videos & the sharing of your resources & references.
I know exactly what you mean Armando, when you wrote this ... like when Robin Williams told Matt Damon he knew everything about Cappella Sistine, but he was never there, to smell and get excited while you were in it ...
Wow! This is fantastic work Armando, this Philips Hue system would for sure make me the coolest uncle ever when nieces and nephews come to stay the night. Nice job.
Ever since coming into contact with philips products since working for hhgreg. I been a fan of there wonderful technology. And since philips has developed these leading technology lights. There's been no stopping me from turning my entire home into something amazing. Philips light tech is like no other. And hopefully I am one of the lucky ones to win this product.
@@Malevolent.z just an advertisement stunt... so he can gain subscribers.. and views... most likely is false... he most likely doesn't even giveaway anything...
Who wouldn’t need something like this? Literally a crazy dope setup. Actually better than a movie theater in my opinion. I’m currently remodeling my rec room/bar/theater area and something like would just put it over the top. Had to share the video with friends and family that are avid movie watchers like I am and appreciate adding efx and ambience to your media area. A blessing to whomever you give the setup to. Thanks for sharing bro.
I’ve always gone with Philips Hue products over the “other guys” mainly for the quality of their products and devices but also the set-up and installation is turn-key plug&play. Very user friendly 🤙🏼 I would love to have a cinematic set-up like this at home. Movie nights at my place!
Sure, but you pay for quality and it just works. With every other product you don't have this experience. They're definitely pricey but there's almost no other product matching the quality and experience
Finally a new light strip that works with the sync hub, and wireless lights are cool too. My HT groups should like this for those that have been asking for this....
I've been shopping around for a reactive backlight setup for so long! This Philips setup is perfect and would turn my basement home theater setup into something amazing for gaming and movie nights with my family! Such a great product!
It’s a shame the sync box don’t support Dolby Atmos, for $250 I returned mine for that reason. It’s really a huge oversight on Phillips part. Love the rest of the hue products even if they are a bit overpriced, the seamless integration and the app make them far superior to other “smart lights” I have used.
I did the same 5 yrs ago with adressable led, my old raspberyr pi 1, a usb video capture device and old PSU. Cost me about $60. Was hard to setup and tune for exact colors, but was even more precise a this one from Philips and all around the tv. Now with 4K HDR content on my new tv, I didnt put it back. 4K HDR is hard to downconvert to composite, and colors would be off. This Philips could do the trick for sure, but cost is a bit too much. I kinda miss my old setup, even if this was in the living room and not in the HT room around the projector screen.
That was very sweet giving them and setting it up for your good friend instead of keeping them for yourself. ❤️ man that looks sweet theater who! Great review
When I stick a movie on, I want to be watching the movie not some lights going off in my peripheral vision! After all I thought lightstrips behind the TV was to help with the contrast from the brightness coming from the TV being displayed in the darkness of the room! I'm quite sure I wouldn't find this immersive I'd probably find it too distracting! With that being said I take nothing away from your set up and your demonstration! Good job and thanks for posting!
We turn off light while watching movies for a reason and it is the same reason why cinemas turn light off too and they have dark walls so you can concentrate on the screen, having any light outside is distracting and I see this technology as a gimmick maybe it is attractive to some people but I don't see most of the people liking it
That’s different, the ambient light around you doesn’t add any value. Have you ever been to Disneyland and seen Captain EO or been on Star Tours, those have lighting effects similar to this and when you’re watching it, you feel like you’re there. Unless you’ve experienced it, I can assure you it’s not a gimmick. In fact when I have it turned off sometimes, the experience of watching a movie feels boring.
Don't knock it until you've tried it. It's far more immersive especially with a good sound set up. I'd never go back to just watching them in the dark.
Thanks for that comment, I was debating it but after seeing this demo I saw how laggy it was and how annoying with all the flashing. A good gimmick for teenagers.
ANYBODY who cares about IMAGE QUALITY and IMAGE PERCEPTION will never have this in their room. This is a gimmick to brag to friends, or to play some slow nature YTB clips. Not for movies.
I recently became a homeowner of a.... well, it's a fixer-upper. I've been fortunate to have my family and a few friends help renovate the place, and if I got this home theater setup I know I'd be able to host the movie nights that they most definitely deserve!
I just purchased a 75” Philips Smart TV (my first Philips Product) and I’m more than happy with it. We’re a big household (mom and 7 brothers/sisters) and watching movies at home together for family movie night are a big thing since it costs too much for us all to go to theaters too often. The only thing that could make our movie watching experience better is The Philips Hue Home setup for a completely more immersive feel.
I’m moving in to my first apartment very soon and I have big plans for my living room. New TV, surround sound, sound absorbers, the WORKS. This giveaway would be the cherry on top of it all!! Good luck to everyone!
These lights with me great for my media room. My daughter's would get the ultimate effect when there's lightning going on on the TV and is making me whole room light up. I think this is awesome.
Since caring for my parents and dealing with COVID 19 I've finally set up a relaxation movie room for those days I get a chance to just kick back a little. To win this would sure help to relax and unwind on those days I really need a little time to myself. If only.
I don't go to the theater, instead I watch in the comfort of my home. Winning the give away would be amazing. Not only for my yearly in home use, but I suspect it could help me learn about lighting for my home yard Haunt. Which I've been building ( monster props & tombstones ) for 15 years and I'm ready to get a amazing lighting show. I added digital decorations from Atmosfx to project out side & on windows and this would take it over the top. I'm guessing many haunts would fallow.
We just moved and so many things went wrong. Hue was going to get installed when we moved but the hiccups drained the savings we put aside for it. This is a great opportunity, and a great video!
This would be great for my new home theater. I just retired from the Navy and I will finally be in one place long enough to build the home theater I always dreamed of. Keep making awesome videos, Armando!
I NEED THIS LIGHTING IN MY LIFE!!! I already have many of the products but not these. Getting a new house and this would be an amazing addition to the entertainment ambience.💡
I had heard about this badass LED light kit from Phillips so I didn't pull the trigger on getting regular LEDs. This would be an awesome addition to any room in the house!
This is ultimately magical experience and this will go best on my 65+ screen, I love that thunder effect , popcorn 🍿, drink 🥤 , hue effect , surround sound, couch , watching movie 🎥 Avtar that will be awesome 👏.It’s time to win this beauty.”ultimate movie night package “
I would love 💘 this for my new TV I got for my birthday, I think having my own movie theater in the house would be awesome and my children would probably watch movies wirh me. Thank you 😷 stay safe.

yup
This would be INCREDIBLE for family movie nights! My wife is even excited about the product
It’s really hard to explain and demonstrate how incredible this home theater is. You have to experience to really see how immersive it is.
I think you did as good a job of explaining and showing as is possible Armando! Great presentation.

I would like to see parts of some films shot from the seated position to get a better feel for the hue back lights.
We are moving in to a new house soon and my wife and kids deserve to have this awesome movie night set up!
That interaction with your buddy Mo was really awkward.
@FOCUSED You sure?
I think his friend just isn't used to being on camera and made him act a little strange
You would give one to Mo's wife lol.
I read before watching the interaction. Wasn’t near as weird as you made it out to be.
😂😂😂 I was thinking the exact same thing lmao @Mr Filmmaker
Wow! This is fantastic work Armando, this Philips Hue system would for sure make me the coolest uncle ever

3:46 is my fav

That’s dope. I need to get those gradient lights for my TV.
I also need that's, but also need money a lot!Hahaha
I living in the Brazilian, to convert the dollar to real, U$1 to R$5,50? :(
I love your vids!!
Between me, my wife and my five kids, that's seven times the enjoyment if I win!
Gotta have a dope setup for the Mandalorian!
😎
Who won the giveaway? I didn’t get the chance to go to the live :(
Facts 💪🏾
Where Can I find info of giveaway?
Is it real giveaway or just an advertisement stunt?
@@Malevolent.z just an advertisement stunt... so he can gain subscribers.. and views... most likely is false... he most likely doesn't even giveaway anything...
Who doesn't want setup like this 💪 No words to say its just look awesome.
3:45 "new frames need analyzing; click analyze" I clicked but the video stopped playing instead :D
It's part of the Warp Stabilizer effect used in Premiere Pro. A small editing oversight...
I literally just saw that and headed to comments to see who else saw it to 🤣, as a premiere user I knew what it was to

I am a big fan of phillips tv-s, it always gets the family together for a movie-night:)
Hue would not believe how good this would look in my viewing room.
I want this for a super immersive experience to re-live the movie theater experience!
To take netflix and chill to a whole new level
Way cool-the lightning looks like it reaches out of the TV and touches the floor. 😃
this costs more then a 65" OLED TV , Hue is waaay over priced.
And maybe I’m wrong but it don’t work in Atmos or with a smart TVs that I use 95% of the time
Sure, but you pay for quality and it just works. With every other product you don't have this experience. They're definitely pricey but there's almost no other product matching the quality and experience
@@DionSegijn except the reviews on the Hdmi play box are terrible. I'd love it if it was 100%, might even pay the CRAZY cost, buuuttt
a plain dark room is just better.
@@mrjm6752 I like a little backlight like in a movie theater
AMAZING ...🤩🤩🤩. My wife was 🤪🤪🤪 when she saw ur video. Nice , Nice , Nice 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
This would be great to replace our horrible $30 strip that keeps falling off so I have it duct taped! Thanks for the chance Armando!
Duct tape solves everything.
Finally a new light strip that works with the sync hub, and wireless lights are cool too. My HT groups should like this for those that have been asking for this....
3:46 warp stabilizer?🧐🤨
man I thought it was just me.
Wow....now that hue is immersive, all the way impressive.
lightstrip too small, should have got the 75" one.
I am a movie and home theater need. This would take my setup to the next level.
I've been shopping around for a reactive backlight setup for so long! This Philips setup is perfect and would turn my basement home theater setup into something amazing for gaming and movie nights with my family! Such a great product!
I love the way the lights work in sync with the movies on the tv.

govee 2 is the best costs less and does the same thing.

Lol cool story bro I'm capable and your capable of doing that but not every one is so this product is for them.
That set up is FIRE!!! That sync would take my man cave theater set up to the next level.

Philips sold a million ambilight TVs last year. Ambilight TVs have been available since 2004. So...
Hmmmm your single negative opinion or the 2000 positives who love it?
Let’s give this a shot! It looks beautiful.
His wife is not impressed she nods and says "OKaaaaaaaayy"
Hahahahaha.... i saw the same face expression!!!! She was like ya whatever....
At least that was realistic lol. The other videos they make the wife seem excited about it haha
Bored housewife. Needs some excitement in her life.
Yes please! Would love some hue lights and popcorn for movie night 😍
This costs more than my TV.
Amazing set up ! Had a set of Philips hue starter kit but never had enough !!!! Will tune in your live !
I tried ambilight. Honestly it's the worst for movies. Really annoying even if you have it set up well. A real home theater doesn't have ambilight.
Thanks for that comment, I was debating it but after seeing this demo I saw how laggy it was and how annoying with all the flashing. A good gimmick for teenagers.
i dont understand this garbage is still a thing but 3d is more immersive and is dead. next ste, 4dx

Bro, this is somebody’s living room. Not a home theater room.
Lmao if someone did something like this for me i would be happy
This is so official in a good way Technology is so advanced now I love it.
This is way too distracting, lol.
Thats what I'm thinking. No way that someone who cares about cinema is going to sit there and watch with all that shit going on and off
It doesn’t distract me.
The vibration or subwoofer doesn’t distract me.
But 3D glasses distracted me and gave me headache.
