Two guitarist legends but a name definately missing in the title because i noticed that the bassman in the back is no other than Brian Beller. The bassman from The Aristocrats. This guys is a fantastic musician. This is very solid lineup of musicians.
Didn't notice that... wow. Also the singer, who is their keyboardist is from a GREAT Australian band called Thersy Merc. Should check them out ( emancipate myself or my completeness ).
Saw the show - great icons of guitar and they delivered explosive solo's all night! A bit of a surprise to hear not one, but two covers. This one as a possible tip of the hat to Metallica's Kirk Hammett, and former Satch guitar student. And Bryan Beller's Robert Trujillo-like crab walking was a riot to watch.
Hendrix would have been 80 years old+ if alive today. Makes you wonder what he would have been doing. Certainly would have still been playing as like Paul McCartney this is what they do. Granted Steve and Joe don't sing vocally they do through their guitars and it does not seem that age has caused them to lose any steam.
Actually Vai took lessons and has sung on some stuff... he's really good. I also really liked Joe on Flying in a Blue Dream, but you're right about them not singing live (i think Vai did on a G3 tour though). It's to bad they don't.
Keeping it alive. There is room for everything.
COOL 👏👏👏🇨🇦🇨🇦
Hope Hammett sees this. Cool to think of the student watching his teacher play one of his solos.
Yeah, and they kept it as it was written, until after the song when they had a really cool jam.
Very cool. Love their keyboardist (who sang this song) is from a GREAT Australian band call Thersty Merc. Very talented as well.
I genuinely love where they took that!
Its been a long time since I watch Satch he is the most elegant here. Steve Vai of course is a legend too.

When you let these two guys loose, magic is bound to happen

It was a great evening…
Legends ❤❤❤❤
Damn, didn't know you had Brian Beller on bass (The Aristocrats bassist, with Guhrie Govan).
Crazy to think without Joe Satriani this song probably wouldn't exist to begin with

Wld b awesome if james and kirk were there for this

I dunno, their dueting post-song is pretty horrible. Granted it's improv, and improv is difficult, but there are a lot of bum notes in there.
13 minutes of Vai/satch songs could have replaced this. I dont need them doing a cover song. They arent desperate for material.
