In this video, I will walk you through how to install scripts in REAPER using Reapack. In this example I will be installing Global Sampler by Birdbird as well as FTC scripts and the default repositories.
I recommend playing this video at 1.25x speed, I talk super slow!

Global sampler installs and apears fine, but after closing and restarting Reaper it is not where I left it positioned, although the JS pluging remains in the MonitorFX. Reaper 7.10 on win10

Having trouble installing these scripts, seems to be easier on Reaper 7.x than Reaper 6.83. After adding the repositories have to install each script thru extensions first, else they don't show up at actions. MX tuner shows after enabling it, but Gridbox doesn't. See "script grid" text instead a clickable field with the options from Adaptive grid menu, when pressing the button can only terminate or do a new instance. When I manually press the Adaptive grid menu script from actions can change the grid tho, so that script works.
Bought 7.x license, scripts work now.

What is the most common use of a global sampler? What is the practical application? Im genuinely curious.
Thank you ! I docked Global Sampler on the top everything is working great. But I have a problem, global sampler d'ont stay in my screen when I restart reaper. Same for Mx Tuner. They have both save with screensets/Layouts
Hello! If you want these to stay open when you restart REAPER, you need to make them part of your start up action via SWS.
To do so, make a custom action with all the actions you want to run when REAPER starts. In this case it'd be a custom action of "Global Sampler" and "MX Tuner". You could also add your favorite Screenset in there, that's what I do.
Once you have your custom action with the actions you want when REAPER starts, right click on the custom action and click "copy action command ID"
Then go to Extensions > Startup Actions > Set a global startup action.
And there you go! Next time you open REAPER, these scripts will auto-open and stay in the same position they were docked last time.
