It's nice Sennheiser has a pair of these for every reviewer out there but It would also be nice if they could actually stock them for purchase. They've been sold out for almost a month.
@@Gamez4eveR Looks like they won't ship to Canada. Their site says: "We are quite disappointed with Sennheiser for preventing us from shipping to your country of choice. Please consider products of a different manufacturer or switch to another delivery country"
I think I respect Valour a lot because he gives a really detailed analysis, while DMS was like "this is the greatest headphone" and Zeos was like "I only like this headphone on a tube amp"
they are all shit heads anyway, just wait a few months after they praised a headphone then the next thing you noticed in their new videos is they either shit on them or sold it already the only headphone that could withstand the stand of time of all their combined BS is the Hifiman Sundara new rev and that thing have weak bass quantity too
I am a classical pianist and I spend hours listening to recordings and occasionally, even to my own playing. Really glad to know that these will sound great for my instrument. Thanks for pointing that out.
I owned the 6XX, dt770 pro, dt990 pro and the 560s came in the mail today. I have all of these within the last two months. I have sold the 6XX, returned the dt 770 and am making a decision betweeen the 990 and 560s. My observations: From my experience, the sennheiser headphones have greater resolution and detail retrieval. The Beyers definitely have more treble presence, but it lacks detail by comparison. Soundstage: Dt 990 pro > 560s > 770 pro == 6XX. The 560s is a big step up in terms out sound stage compared to the 6XX. Also, the 770 pro has an incredible sound stage for a closed headphone. Wow! Bass: The 560s sounds so much tighter compared to the 6XX. It’s a big improvement and there is finally a sense of sub bass. The Beyers still edge it out in terms of quantity, but it’s actually pretty close. The 770s are definitely bass cannons and extend way down low. The 6XX sounds muddy compared to the rest of the bunch. Mids: 6XX is very forward and warm, which I appreciate for certain types of music. Both Beyers headphones scoop the mids a bit but I think they sound balanced. The 560s sounds the most neutral to my ears. Highs: each headphone takes a different approach. Right out of the box, the Beyers honestly sounded weird to me. Not a natural representation of treble. I never found it overly sibilant. As I used them though, the “burn in” effect has really smoothed them out. I still would not call them neutral, but rather pleasant. The 6XX was very recessed in the highs but the detail was always there if you listened for it. The 560s sounds just as detailed as the 6XX but with more treble. I think it’s a big upgrade in that regard.
@@arguelles7 To me the 560s sounds accurate and dynamic. Good bass, balanced mids, and detailed treble. I don’t think they sound boring at all. I would consider the laid back nature of the 6XX more “boring”.
Talking about bass response. My experience with the headphones were similar. Popping slightly if you add bass on the EQ. But I went back to it after another 100 hours of listening, and when adding bass on EQ there was no more popping in the low range of bass boost. But that little extra makes these the besy headphones I've had by far
Thanks for mentioning instruments! I listen to mostly instrumental music and it seems most reviewers focus a lot on vocals but it's great to hear about things like strings and winds.
I'm trying to figure out how much sound bleed there is when listening on 40-60% volume without a dac/amp.. I'm planning on using these as digital piano headphones. Do you have any recommendations?
Guys this may be way too late for a lot of people but anyway. Regarding the popping / clicking noise when turning up the bass. IT IS NOT A DRIVER ISSUE, it is actually pretty darn capable of more bass. Try and rotate the earpads in place after they are clicked in so they clip better on the earcups (VERY minor rotations, don't just yank them into a direction). They may not be aligned correctly and it causes "plastic" vibrations / crackling on bass / sub-bass frequencies on not even that loud volumes or bass EQs. This is what was happening to me, got to this idea of checking the earpads after noticing that when I was holding the earcups with my hands, especially around the earpad elements, the plastic popping noise was gone. So try it, they may be misaligned from production or maybe from the last time someone or yourself has reassembled them. (mine were refurbished)
Trying out the 560s now and mostly agree with the review, though I would like to add a few comments regarding the bass: I’m hearing articulate, well-pronounced, very tight bass. The effect is impactful, but not overly so, and with nary a hint of bloat. Nothing about this bass signature is muddy or boomy. It is extremely staccato, precise, and clean. I find it very pleasing. Leaning strongly towards keeping this set. The more I listen, the more I appreciate what Sennheiser has done here.
Thank you for addressing this. He made it almost sound nonexistent. I love bass just not loud kind that tricks rubes lol. Granted this will be my first pair of audiophile grade headphones and can easily fall into that category if I'm not careful. I listen to almost everything. Will the bass guitar sound good from RHCP tracks as well as an orchestra or piano? I miss hearing the instruments from band class, nothing I've listened to since school has come close to reproducing them.
I’ve been ABCing the 560s with 6xx and 800s for days now. So far my biggest gripe is their plasticky flat-feeling tone. That’s where they really lose to the 600 line. Soundstage, detail and imaging are superb and better than 6xx or 600. FR is on the leaner side and a bit sharp but fixable with a bit of EQ - 1-2 Db here and there.
@@karigori6415 200$ is considered entry level!? damn for me 100$ is already a LOT of money to spend on headphones tho... I usually buy headphones at 60-80$ dollars, are those peasant level ?
@@xbox9092 I do agree that there are amazing, amazing headphones such as the $40 Samson SR850. $200 is definitely not Entry level. However, the sound that we get for $200 is very, very good.
I pushed the EQ up on the bass and sub bass and listened to some bass heavy songs like "Mask Off" by future. I didn't notice any cracking and was surprised how much they can bump. The sub-bass frequencies struggle, but the mid bass is impressive with EQ. I can't hear any popping. Driving them with a Fiio K5 Pro, so plenty of power.
I think the pair joshua got a pair with faulty cable connection. You see bass requires big power fluctuation to produce and even a slightly faulty cable will result in cracking. Cracking is not a limitation of the drive.
Awesome headphone.. i did sell my 6xx thinking this would replace it but no... i need both. This is more vivid. Highs and bass is increased more loud, 6xx at 300 ohms is better for tubes .. I’m extremely happy it sounds great paired with a 789 amp. Really really good
I'm still getting compliments on how my tan 598s look cause they stand out compared to black. Also Josh, that looks like an extremely awkward way to store your bike
@@frogg4711 If you got the Black 599 $99. you got a great deal. Both colors are $199. on Amazon now. I have the 598 and 599. Both sound great for their price. 599 definitely look better especially the headband
I feel one important note here which is slightly missed, is soundstage postiioning massively affects the perceived sibilance of a headphone, I have heard some beyerdynamics the people swear are the brightest, sharpest most painful things and have had no issue, and other headphones that people say are lovely and velvety smooth and yet I found them sibilant.
I bought a set of these for mixing audio. They're excellent for that, as studio monitoring in general tends to feature that kind of balanced EQ response with accurate but not aggressive bass and slightly crispy upper mids and low highs. These are so comfortable to wear and listen to, and it seems like all the information is spread out in front of you for you to work with. You always have to cross-reference with consumer headphones that have bumpitty bass and low mids whenever you mix on good headphones, but there are no obvious weak points.
I think the Sony XM4s are a good representative for consumer headphones with enough audio quality, i guess, i hope? They're bassy but in a controlled way, so if it gets out of control, you're adding too much bass.
Just got the 560s last week for mixing - for the price they're hard to beat. Some people say the treble is too bright (this is due to the peak at 7khz) yeah if you're coming from the HD 6xx, but it's not Beyer bright and I reckon it's an asset for detecting sibilance in recordings. I got a passive filter cable (from Solderdude - diy audioheaven ) which reduces the 7khz peak and they sound better for it, a lot smoother in the top end. I think a better comparison for the 560s is with the HD 600 rather than the 6xx which I think is more of an enjoyable listen but a bit too friendly for mixing or analytical work....just my two cents...
The Hifiman Sundara will be better for mixing than the 560s. From 2khz through the mid treble, the 560s is very forward and dry. Sundara is more even, with better resolution and separation. Initially, I thought the 560s would have its place in the studio, but maybe only for imaging. Its too strong in the upper mids thru treble. Even with EQ compensation, that area still pops forward. In comparison, the 560s is definitely better than the 600/6xx for mixing, due to the increased soundstage and better imaging. With EQ, the 600/6xx will prob provide better frequency resolution.
@@JohnSmith-oe4bw Nice one John, interesting that. Seems to me that it's a good idea to have a few different pairs of headphones around the studio as there doesn't seem to be a "perfect solution" in any one set of cans.
Dear Josh, nice review, but as an owner of 595/598SE and HD650 I wanted to understand where does it stands in the 500 series not only compared with it's bigger brothers... like 6XX or other brands in that price range. So, I am curious how does it compare with 595/598? Thanks!
Just got these, hooked up to Fiio KA3 DAC streaming highest quality on Spotify. Love love love, really connecting with my music on a whole new level here.
Just bought a pair for $140 for gaming, music, and conversational listening. Previously used the SHP 9500, and the moondrop arias, as well as the snow edition of the arias. I've also used many other headphones but none that fit this category really. My opinion of those headphones is that the original arias are my favorite for music, the shps are my favorite for gaming (but they broke, and the snow edition arias are best for listening to debates or podcasts. I'm hoping this is my new go to when I'm at work or at home. The snow edition arias are my go to for on the go listening, though they can be uncomfortable for long periods of usage.
@@thaleseduardo8256 I listen to almost everything. Some of my absolute favorite bands with these have been Steady Holiday, Sleeping at last, The Orbs new album Prism, and Gregory Alan isakov
The mid-bass hump on 6xx makes it sounds boomy and ruins the low-mid frequencies, I have owned the 6xx and sold because of this, and don't forget the very closed in soundstage and recessed treble, so I think the 560s is the new successor, it has much better sup-bass and more forward treble (but not as neutral).
SUBSCRIBED.. ! thanks Josh, I'm wetting my toes in the audiophile ocean and will probably send back the beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO 80 ohm's I recently got because they're a hassle with the long cable and otherwise fairly clunky and awkward to use. so I look forward to trying out and comparing the two before returning one or the other . All the best from the south of france.. !
@@pr3t I hear ya. I'm not gonna be boarding a train any time soon. The 560S is supposed to be more resolving (similar to the 600 line-up) than the previous 5xx variants (excluding the Jubilee 58x) and has more treble than the older 5xx line-up but it also looks like the soundstage is slightly smaller on the 560s than the older 5 series. I pretty much just use my HD800s for soundstage these days :)
Hi, I'm trying to decide between the HD 6XX, HD58X and the HD 560S Do you know how they compare in games? Which has the best soundstage and positional audio?
"most sennheisers are not for bass heads" you said the truth. i have HD 599 and HD660s, and in every amp i own , the bass tone leaks quite a lot Vs. other headphones of different brands that i tried. aside HD800's series , most of sennheisers open back headphones should be prefered for one who looking for fine detailed listening of instruments and vocals , but if you are a "bass heads" the shure SRH 1540 or a bayerdynamic DT1770 works fine
After yours and DMS' reviews, I will get this headphones for sure. Does anybody recommend an affordable dac/amp to compliment with? I'm considering the Fiio K5pro or the iFi Zen Can.
@@vanceholbrook8720 Thanks for the recommendation. That is a stack, right? Might be out of my budget, that is why I was looking for a amp+dac, though I know it is best to have them apart.

I got the 560S last week and they are better than the 58X which I returned to Drop a while back. The 560S is a Sennheiser headphone without that "Veil"
@@stratelite1337 I have had the 560s for a few days now. They really do make other sennheiser a sound muddy (I had the 6XX). I really don’t think they sound harsh. If you ever felt the 58x/6XX was missing something in the highs, these solve it. The veil is gone. They are so damn detailed.
Man this review is very detailed and covers exactly what I wanted to know about these. I need your opinion on Panasonic RP-HD10 . Please do review them in the future, I currently own them and I have owned Sony MDR-1a and ATH-M50x in the past . I personally think they are worth recommending to someone. I would love to hear your thoughts.
Great review, I'm debating between these and the Sundara's. Still can't decide. The 560s is much more comfortable for wearing all day and never gets fatiguing or shouty but the Sundara has incredible bass that can be EQ'd up with no problem, incredible resolution that on some songs the 560s can't match. Tough choice as I don't want to keep both. I think the Bass on the 560s is pretty good though, def no bass head pleaser, but it's very tight and crisp.
The Sundara is a level above the 560s when properly amplified. It's entry level vs mid-range that gives you a glimpse into the high end. If you can't decide between the two, go for the cheaper Sennheiser.
The Sundara is definitely superior. Better resolution, clearer separation, wider soundstage, and flatter/smoother sounding frequency response. The 560s is gets very forward at around 2khz thru the mid treble. Even with EQ compensation, that area still pops out.
Great review, thanks for the detailed look at these. Hm. Any idea how these compare to the HD599? Comfort is king for me as I want to wear them all day while coding, and I have no dedicated amp. So between hearing that the 599 have less clamp force and the much lower impedance, I'm thinking they may be a better fit for me. Thoughts? I'm currently using my old set of ATH-AD700 I've had for over a decade, and they're starting to bother me a little--especially how the large, circular pads go on the back of my neck. Thanks for any thoughts/help you can provide and keep up the great work!
@@syedinsaf7481 hey, I tried the 599 and actually ended up sending it back. Interestingly, I later got the HD6XX from Drop, and I was able to loosen up the clamp force easily with a tissue box and later with a bust, and now it's my daily driver.
@@syedinsaf7481 I really like my HD6XX. Great sound, very comfortable once I loosened them up. The best advice I can give is to just buy some things you can easily return and see how you feel after a few weeks.
I bought a pair to possibly replace my MDR-1As without doing much research beforehand. I'm using a cheap FX-Audio DAC-X6, so they won't perform at their best, but I'm looking forward to see if they grow on me or not. I might even upgrade to a better DAC/Amp, if I feel the itch... Exciting times!
Obviously, this video is a couple years old but leaving my comment for anybody else looking at a similar situation to mine. I used A40TR w/mixamp for years, and after they started giving out I went looking for a better headset. Long story short, I stepped into these 560S with a UA Volt 1 interface and they sound incredible compared to what I’m used to. VERY neutral sound, bright, and plenty loud.
So. I went into sam ash and they recommended the audio technica ath-m50x. I could not wear those for more than 20 mins I felt a huge pressure in my ears both from the sound and the headphones themselves. So I'm returning them. Now I want a suggestion. Budget is $200 powered by a Motu m2, i do have studio monitors (JBL 305p mkii) do I don't need mixing headphones, just casual listening headphones preferably open back since my ears burn with the ATH-M50x.
kinda late to this, but i'm looking for an open back headphone that has good imaging & wide soundstage for AAA gaming, and found either this 560s or DT990pro. Any ideas which should i choose and why? Thanks
You gives really good details and used a theoretical language I’m not familiar with. I’m on the market for new headphones. I do video recording and editing. I was using AT MX50x until they broke. I’m not sure if I should stay with another of the same one or migrate to something else. Thanks!

Brilliant review! Can you review the Takstar hd2050 (or his clone, the isk hi2010) and the Takstar pro 82? The hd2050 are the open back version of the Takstar Pro 80 which is the model from which the hyperX cloud 2 were based on. The takstar Pro 82 is the model from which the cooler master mh751/mh752's where based on. They are both very affordable headphones with amazing build quality and great sound. I think they diserve more attention. I own both and use them mostly for gaming. I was thinking about getting the hd560s but don't know if that's going to be an upgrade or I'm going to be disappointed. I play on consoles exclusively, do you think the hd560's are going to work well plugged to the controller, or they need an amp? Thanks for the amazing videos. 🙏

Is there even an upgrade from these? Where does one go when they acquire the 560S? What if I want more bass, more soundstage, but retain the detail? Is there nothing under 1000 euros? I mean I get that Sennheiser made an affordable HE-1 with these but fuck
Right now I own the beyerdynamic Dt 990 Edition in the 600 Ohm variant. Looking to upgrade to the HD 600. Would you still recommend the HD 600 over the 560s for classical music? Most of the time I hear choir music and orchestra works.

This may still be relevant to someone: They're both 5 series headphones, so similar build quality and comfort. Similar positional capabilities, but the pc38x has more of a gamer-tailored sound. It has more of a bass-emphasized body to it that makes games sound cinematic. By comparison, the 560s has a much thinner, more detailed sound. Bass is there, but restrained. PC38x is easier to run without a lot of power. If I played single player games, or more casual games, I would prefer the immersive sound of the pc38x. Competitive gamers would prefer the 560s, since it presents a much more realistic, detailed, sound. I think the average person would prefer the pc38x, but a few insane people would prefer the 560 (you know who you are)

Would it be very difficult to make a balanced to balanced cable for these? The stock one already comes balanced on the locking side, so why not? And a shorter cable could be really welcomed by some people.
You asked the question 11 months ago Povilas, so you might have sorted yourself out by now.....you've probably found that 1.2 metre balanced and unbalanced cables are available (on e-bay for example). Although the supplied 3 metre cable has a 4-pole plug on the headphone end as you say, they only needed to run 3 core cable to the 6.35mm plug....but, handily, they used 4-core cable - which means yes, you can go balanced - by changing the 3-pole TRS to a 'Pentacon' or XLR plug, depending on your socket. XLR would be easier, I fitted a Pentacon. It's Litz cable, so not the easiest soldering job.
Nice review, thanks. I have a question please. I need an open-back headphone for compose/mix electronic music with lot of lows (dark techno, with sub, rumble....). I'll use a calibration software like Sonarworks, and I'm wondering if this HD 560s can reproduce low frequencies like sub, rumble...? You say it's really light with bass, but is it only with finished/mastered song ? (I don't know how to explain... english is not my native language) For example, if I make a sub bass or low rumble sound with a synth plugin, do you think this HD 560s can reproduce well this sound ? Because in the description, I saw "frequency range 6 Hz to 38,000 Hz". Is a plugin like Sonarworks can help ? If not, I don't know which open-back headphone I can find in the same price range who can reproduce low frequencies. I saw that this HD 560s have more bass than the Beyer DT 880, but a guy tell me that there is no problem to make/hear/mix huge bass music with this DT880. So I'm a little lost.... Thanks !

In my opinion and with what I've tried the SHP 9600s or the X2HR would both be good options. Both open back and extremely comfortable. Around the same price of $140 US dollars. The 9600s are a little more "balanced" and the X2s are more V shaped with good solid bass response. I think they are worth looking into
According to some demos i would assume that the 560S has some harsh peaks at about 3 - 5 Khz..which is a bit problematic regarding neutral sound experience..
that's exactly what i thought, until mine arrived yesterday! they are neutral af! if you're making music, go for it, if you're an "audiophile" don't bother because they don't sound all wide and spectacular, just truthful.

Solid review. I didn't know what the Senn. veil was till trying the 560S. At this price point w/ a the Zen Dac and the help of someone here who can suggest a good free eq for macs that globally adjust eq. I'll be a happy camper. The eq in iTunes doesn't cut it. Thanks
I had the Sennheiser HD560s, but was disappointed in the lack of bass! Bought the Beyerdynamic DT770 pro 32ohm model.... just wow. I love it... the detail and clarity and weight in the bass is just incredible (tried the 250 ohm model - had the same sound signature as the 32ohm model) - the clamp pressure is better than the HD560s also. Love the DT770 pro 1.6m short fixed lead. The frequency response sounds so linear (very natural) on the DT770 pro 32ohm. Instrument separation is so much better than the HD560s - the nuances in the music on the DT770 are just incredible. Really really impressed. My wife listened to both and also agrees on my findings. I hope this helps in anyone making a headphone choice. ps the sub bass on Hans Zimmer 2049 distorted and popped on the HD560s, but the DT770 go super low and play cleanly with a big kick and presence. IMO.
I am curious as to how the HD560s compare to the HD599 since they are around the same price range, any thoughts? I just bought HD58x and I didn’t like it after 10 mins I went back to my old HD598 I don’t know what to do ?? Should I get 560s or 599 ??
I think you got a faulty unit lol. If I crank the bass, it does superbly well with no popping. AT ALL. I even switch on the tru bass on the zen dac for this. No popping. Plus, even without EQ, the bass is really really good.
It's nice Sennheiser has a pair of these for every reviewer out there but It would also be nice if they could actually stock them for purchase. They've been sold out for almost a month.

I owned the 6XX, dt770 pro, dt990 pro and the 560s came in the mail today. I have all of these within the last two months. I have sold the 6XX, returned the dt 770 and am making a decision betweeen the 990 and 560s.
My observations:
From my experience, the sennheiser headphones have greater resolution and detail retrieval.
Please try some Open planar magnetic. 🙌🏼
You all describe the 560s as fantastic but boring headphones... 🤔😂
@@arguelles7 not boring at all
@@arguelles7 To me the 560s sounds accurate and dynamic. Good bass, balanced mids, and detailed treble. I don’t think they sound boring at all. I would consider the laid back nature of the 6XX more “boring”.
DT 990 250ohm premium all the way.
Your soundstaging explanations are insanely vivid and accurate! Thanks for the nice review!
Thats why i love your reviews exactly what i hear when i got them .
I was so hyped for your review after DMS's review
Talking about bass response. My experience with the headphones were similar. Popping slightly if you add bass on the EQ. But I went back to it after another 100 hours of listening, and when adding bass on EQ there was no more popping in the low range of bass boost. But that little extra makes these the besy headphones I've had by far
Thanks for mentioning instruments! I listen to mostly instrumental music and it seems most reviewers focus a lot on vocals but it's great to hear about things like strings and winds.
listening on my HD 560S. I like the sound quality of this headphone, really well.
Thanks! I'm purchasing mine soon. I'll keep this in mind. I heard they changed the earpads since the original batch.
Trying out the 560s now and mostly agree with the review, though I would like to add a few comments regarding the bass:
I’m hearing articulate, well-pronounced, very tight bass.
@@spamcan9208 did you get them?
@@chrisdeme1010 yes, I did. I really like them so far.
@@spamcan9208 how's the bass?
I’ve been ABCing the 560s with 6xx and 800s for days now. So far my biggest gripe is their plasticky flat-feeling tone. That’s where they really lose to the 600 line. Soundstage, detail and imaging are superb and better than 6xx or 600. FR is on the leaner side and a bit sharp but fixable with a bit of EQ - 1-2 Db here and there.
What are your EQ settings?
Can you give an example of what you can do with EQ?
I have this weird feeling that Sennheiser is coming up with a new line-up x-60s

@@whn2309 I agree. I think the 599 has the nicer design, though it only really changed the headband lol.
I bought these as a reference headphone for music production
I am far more than happy with them, especially with them only being $200
I bought a set of these for mixing audio.
@@karma_moths - There really isn't. Even a pair of JBL 305's will beat pretty much any headphone under $500-750 for accuracy.

How do the 560s compare to the pc38x that you recently reviewed?

WHOAAA JOSH. I got my 598 for that sweet cream and brown finish. Love them too, so much more comfortable then the 6XX if I just need to listen for hours with WFH.
I have the hd598se and I must say that the sound is incredible for gaming.
I'm having trouble deciding whether to upgrade my 598 to the 6xx or the 560s? Any thoughts
@@krypto_9872 I am curious as to how the HD560s compare to the HD599 since they are around the same price range, any thoughts? I just bought HD58x and I didn’t like it after 10 mins I went back to my old HD598 I don’t know what to do ?? Should I get 560s or 599 ??
What is the size difference in the ear cups between 6xx and 560? Are they the same size, shape and depth?
Does the HD 560S sound the same as or better than Samson's SR850 Professional Studio Reference Headphones ?
I have a natural distrust of any headphone lacking a metal frame. Sure they might sound good, but can I sit on em?
I have both the 598sr and the 560s and when ABing them I feel like the 560s are way cleaner and the 598 more “easy” on the ears.
my first "real" headphones were the Sennheiser 595s, sold them to a friend when I got my 580s. The 5XX series is a great entry point.
Is 580 better than this??
@@AdityaBandaru13 the 580 has been replaced by the hd600 over 20 years ago. The massdrop 58x is a completely different headphone tho

(I don't know how to explain... english is not my native language)
For example, if I make a sub bass or low rumble sound with a synth plugin, do you think this HD 560s can reproduce well this sound ? Because in the description, I saw "frequency range 6 Hz to 38,000 Hz".
Is a plugin like Sonarworks can help ?
If not, I don't know which open-back headphone I can find in the same price range who can reproduce low frequencies.
I saw that this HD 560s have more bass than the Beyer DT 880, but a guy tell me that there is no problem to make/hear/mix huge bass music with this DT880. So I'm a little lost.... Thanks !
How does it compare with Austrian Audio HiX55 and HiX50?
is this better than shp9500
I'm confused, it comes with a non balanced cable !! So if I connect this to a 4.4 adapter, will I get balanced or do I need a dedicated cable ???
I just got a pair and for some reason only in-game audio is quiet. Yes I have my in-game volume are all up, my mixers are all up as well. I tried looking through Reddit for a fix and I tried updating my reltek just to end up reverting them back to a update bc when I updated them, I couldn't hear anything. Anybody have a fix for this headset? I really wanna use this as my main gaming headphones, even though it's quiet it's awesome! I hear footsteps perfectly for comp games, it's just quiet is all.
what amp would you recommend for there

@@TheKillerZmile I'm going to use a rode ai 1

The sound quality of your videos is so good. May I please know what mic and mixer you're using?
How is 560 compared to 599.
I have a HD 518 now, I want to upgrade. I am looking at Hd 560S and HD 660S, which one will be better ? I don't mind paying 450$ for the HD 660S if it's better. Is the HD 560S that much better than my HD 518 ? Thanks
So not counting the tighter bass and other modern attributes of the 560s, Is the hd600 still more neutral so far as mids and treble presentation?
To me yes ... On treble mostly and resolutions hd600 are better.
How does it compare to the beyerdynamic dt880 pro? I’m looking to spend 200ish and I’m in between those and the hd560s
One week enjoying this 560S!
Does Sennheiser still doesn't ship to Mexico? If so, does someone know hot to buy this in Mexico??
you can always buy them from amazon and they will ship internationally , remember to be mindful of tariffs if any apply
Yo he comprado en México: HD660s, 600, 599, 598, 579, 558, Game One, Momentum 2 over ear, Momentum 2 in ear y otros
What kind of amp did you use for these?
Which beyer headphones offer the best soundstage around this price??? Thanks
Did you test these on a solid state amp and/or tube amp?
Hey bro I'm fairly new to all of this stuff so I wanted to ask you if I should buy the AKG K361 or the HD 560s. (They are the same price atm)
I need them for mostly tracking guitar for metal music and a little bit of gaming.
I listen to metal pretty much all of the time so I was wondering in which one of these would I have a better experience just jamming along to a song?
This guy is one of thoser RUclipsrs that never reply
Is it possible to buy a shorter cable for this headphone so that i can use it with a mobile phone?
Would these be good for classical music? I like to listen via my iphone while reading? I dont want to spend anymore money than these.
Can you recommend where I can get a shorter cable for these? Thanks. BTW, another fabulous review.
@sockhopsinger the stock cables are soooooo loooooong! if you check out the description in Z-reviews' review of the 560s he has an amazon link to a shorter cable that are fantastic, i'm 1.73m tall and got the 1.2m cable and wouldn't want them to be any longer. (btw I'm in france and found them under a different name but same product, so if you're not in NA look around you can probably find them)
@@ThatGuy-rp1ly Thanks very much. This long cord is really the only downside to this headphone so far. Of course, I have an amp on the way so can't wait to see how this performs then.
Thank you for the cable recommendation. Any recommendation for an adorable, portable amp for the 560s under $100?
Would you recommend this headphones for instrumental music with electric guitar, specifically metal music? Prefect reference for what i am aiming would be Orion by Metallica. If not, some other choice in that price range? (Beyerdynamic?) Thank you in advance 😊
Looking for something similar. I was looking at these, 6xx, dt990. Did you end up settling on something?
@@TheMetaldudeX not yet. For now, i have my presonus 9 HD. But i want to upgrade to something "stronger" because i have fiio k5 pro, so i want to have use of it. Plus i need some bigger ear cups (like DT has). Presonus is kind of uncomfortable for me. I have big ears 😊
I'm looking to buy my first pair of headphones and i'm torn between the hd560s and the dt 880 pro. I was wondering if anyone could give me a comparison or some help on which one to choose. Unfortunately i can't try the hd560s. I would definitely consider myseslf a music enthusiast, i love hearing details, i already have some studio gear like monitors, audio interface and a mixer and i like to turn up my highs just slightly compared to the mids and lows on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated !
Can you do a TYGR 300 R review? I have it, so it doesn't change my mind but I think it is a great headphone for its price.
I agree. I got both the 300r and the 560s about a week apart. I prefer the 300r. A little warmer and more enjoyable in my opinion. The 560s are super neutral. I would say boring but some people prefer the clarity of that type of sound signature so 🤷♂️
I’d love to get this headphone. It’s so hard to find in Canada.
@@MapleYum have you tried Beyerdynamic's website? That's the only place you can actually buy the standalone Tygr 300 without the microphone I'm pretty sure. That's where I got mine from. Couldn't find them anywhere else here in the US.
I'm here to shamefully amend my previous remarks regarding the Sennheiser hd560s. They're neutral, but on some songs- I actually prefer them to the tygr 300r. One song specifically, is first time by Seven Lions. I don't know why, but the Hd 560s sounded a little nicer. Maybe it was just the toning down of the bass and the treble. Either way, you really can't lose going with either.
@@jakew2037 Thanks! I’ll check out Beyerdynamic’s site and keep an eye out for the 560s. Headphone selection in Canada is pretty limited, so it’s hard to sort through reviews and find what we actually have access to. Also I’m just starting out with quality headphones, so it’s a whole new world for me. I never even considered open backs before last week.
Would you recommend these headphones for studio use?
Can anyone with a ton of heaphone experience recommend an upgrade path from the hd 598. I really love their sound signature but I could use a little more "punch" in my bass response.
I'm trying to get an idea what kind of money is necessary to spend to get an objective "step up" and what cans dac/amp combos would satisfy my craving for the next level of audio quality.
Keep in mind the best source I've plugged my 598 into are my msi mobo. I've done a bit of research and concluded that I would be disappointed with the quality increase that just a dac/amp with the 598 would deliver.
OK so I've started this gorgeous journey of quality sound and got myself a pair of SHP 9500s based on Joshua's reviews, thanks for that! I've owned those for over a year now. I'm looking for recommendations on what could be a nice upgrade to those guys, any help?
my budget is under $300, I'm currently using a SoundBlasterX G6 as DAC/AMP and I've come to find that I like warmer sound signatures than the one offered by the 9500s
Hey Joshua really need your help here. I've been looking for a cable to replace the long stock one. Unfortunately, I bought a silver coated copper which end up making the sound very thin and hollow. Do you have any recommendation or guide towards buying a new cable? Eg: copper, pure silver, hybrid.
Hey, love your headphone reviews! I am currently looking for new headphones for maximum 300€. I listen to hiphop, pop and electronic music, so I like some bass. It should also be an open back headphone with an at least average soundstage and it should not have harsh treble because I want to use it for long music sessions. Any suggestions? Ty for your answer!

IMO.
I'm a giant fan of the DT 770's I own every flavour lol.
If you think the 770 is great try the 700 Pro X, you will love them.
So is it basically the exact same soundstage and sound signature as the 598? In that case, is there any reason to upgrade from the 598?

I think you got a faulty unit lol. If I crank the bass, it does superbly well with no popping. AT ALL. I even switch on the tru bass on the zen dac for this. No popping. Plus, even without EQ, the bass is really really good.
