A very comprehensive review!!! I'm going to return my new Philips SHP9600's to Amazon and either get the HD560S or the HD599. The comments about the clamping force and the impedance for the 560S concerns me a bit.
@@lolamorocho2176 I have a Fifine headphone amp connected to a Focusrite 2i2 audio interface which is connected to my laptop. I've read some great reviews about the Dragonfly.

Brilliant Gavin! I've been looking at the 560S for a few days now and done a lot of research. It were between the 560s and 599, but after this comparision I now know what I will buy! It cost around 143 pounds (1700sek) here, seems to be worth it =) I'm using Audient MK4II that can drive up to 600oHm, so that shouldn't be any problem :)
Sennheiser hd560s vs Hifiman He400se I am still comparing them for days side by side. I'm just a casual listener who appreciates the "great" sound. I'll try to explain the sound. I use the Soundblaster AE-5 btw. Hifiman HE400SE needs a great amp! I kinda love the treble/highs here... it's so smooth and also clear. Mids need EQ around 2 Khz (+2db to +4 db). Vocals are clear but a little bit laid back compared to HD560s, but still very present. Bass responses are crisps and tight similar to HD560s. To my ears, the HE400se has a very "creamy" sound after EQ and with an amp. You just enjoy the creamy dessert with its flavours. The sound is also more around your head and stays there "airy". It tries to hug you, but it depends on you if you allow it or not. Like: Treble/Highs smooth and overall easier to listen to Bass extension and the ?vibrations? It's not that tight like the HD560s Spacious sound, but sometimes voice etc. sound not that close Sennheiser HD560s do not necessarily need an amp. Treble here is a little bit too much and harsh sometimes around 4KHz. I personally dropped this area by about -2db. Mids are very crystal clear and I love voices here, for me the best part. Bass are kinda similar to HE400se but maybe a tiny bit tighter with a little bit more "spiky" punch, like how the highs are (bass sometimes a little bit too clean/clinical). Overall, they are more "spicy" and make you more aware and cautious of different sounds so it can get quite sweaty. The sound tries to get into your head with spikes and spices. Sometimes it forces you to listen (less chill than HE400se). Like: Mids with crystal clear voices Closer to the ears but still with soundstage (not too narrow) Tight sound (sometimes too clean like the bass -> makes harder to vibe) Light on the head
Thanks for the informative video Gavin. Based on the current Black Friday 2021 prices, the HD599SE is significantly discounted at £90. The newer HD560s are £170 at the moment. Do you think it’s worth getting the discounted HD599SE? Thanks. Also, please recommend a cheap dac/amp for this. I mainly use the headphones for Spotify and movies. Thank you!
Excelent short and practaical review, I have been using the hd599 and I actually like them but I want to go for something better. I love to watch tv series, movies , listen to music and I do play some games too. I don't know wich one might be better for my personal use I'm not a professional musician nor anything like that, but I do like good sound and music, After doing a lot of research I kind of ended up with the hd 660 s but after this I don't know if they are a good choice anymore...
The hd600 need a decent amp to drive them, so that’s needs to be worked into the cost. The hifiman Sundara is another option, but this needs an amp too. I quite enjoy the audio Technica R70x, with these I got some 4.4mm balanced cables & power them via my iFi hip-dac2.
Thanks for the detailed video. I'm looking for headphones just to use on my laptop/smartphone to watch movies and listening to instrumental music, i have no plans on getting an amplifier. should I go with the 560s or the 599? or maybe something else? thank you!
Hi, Gavin, brilliant review, I'm considering updating from HD599 to HD560s, how much difference is the passive soundstage between them? I have an Audio engine D1 DAC, is it enough to drive the 560s?
Thanks for your feedback. You won’t have a life changing difference. Not used the D1 so can’t comment on that, only that the 560s aren’t too difficult to drive.
Good review, but confusing..... Seen many reviews saying Sundara are excellent but bass light, but you are saying the Sundara are much better in all aspects. Does this mean all the headphones you are listening to are bass light? Also could you please touch more on the accuracy of the imaging? Wider soundstage is a good thing, but not if the imaging becomes fuzzy or more hollow because of it.
The Sundara are accurate headphones. No fuzzy stuff. Plenty of bass. I have fun headphones that are V shaped in sound. Eg see my latest review of the Sivga SV021.
Hey Gavin! First of all, thanks for your great and detailed explanation of these awesome headphones. You've made me decide on getting the 560S and the iFi Zen DAC v2 as an upgrade. I'm currently using the HD 559's and a Focusrite Scarlett Solo audio interface as an amplifier. Do you think that this upgrade will be worth it? I'm not talking economically, but musically and spiritually. Wish you the best and have a great day! Cheers from Spain.
@@sanjaykumar.v8139 hey there! Yes I did. I've had them all this time. The iFi Zen Dac v2 aswell. I'm currently about to upgrade to the Hifiman Sundaras. I've found that the 560S has more clarity, soundstage, imaging and sound fidelity than the 559. Both items were a great purchase.
@@BackSlushHello! Would you recommend them for somebody who would just plug them into their laptop or phone to enjoy music at home? how is the sound quality and do they need an amplifier?
Excellent video and channel. Clarified the questions I had to my complete satisfaction. Your thoughts on meze 99 vs hd 560s vs sundara? I have heard bad things about the build quality of sundara and good things about meze 99. Would love to hear your thoughts.
Really enjoyed your presentation Gavin. Have you heard the HD599SE? If you have heard it, do you think it would get closer to the HD560S than the basic HD599 did? I have the SE version.
Excellent review! My impression of the HD560S is that they are actually not too far off the HD599 in sound quality and both lag behind my HD600 and 6XX overall. HD560S is also definitely brighter than the HD599 to my ears, has more sub bass, but less mid bass than the HD599. So I guess we hear things differently, but that's OK. I do agree that the 400i is probably a bit better than the HD560S. I have Focus Pads A fitted on my 400i which tames the highs a bit and brings out the mids a little so they actually sound warmer this way than the HD560S. I also agree about Sundara being better than all of them. Sundara is just amazing for the money, especially if you have the latest stock pad revision for them that makes them super well balanced - even more so than the Sennheisers probably - but with speed and clarity that is well beyond traditional dynamic driver designs. Only the more modern, advanced dynamic drivers like the Focal metal dome ones or the HD800 ring radiator can compete with Sundara drivers in speed and clarity.
@@danterikxx HD560S has a different sound to it. It's more analytical with less mid bass and more treble. I think it does sound more refined than the HD599. It will be worth it if you prefer a more analytical and neutral sound than what HD599 provides. If you want a direct upgrade over HD599 while keeping a similar sound with that rich mid bass and low midrange presence that the HD599 has, then you should look elsewhere. I think HD6XX/650 with a very good DAC and amp, especially a good tube amp like Bottlehead Crack for example, could be a good option for getting that warm, euphoric sound similar to HD599, but with better sound quality.
@@vm6038 which would you consider for overall enjoyment and fun, like movies, games, etc? i also have the AKG K702, which should be closer to the 560s, with more resolution and soundstage

I really dont know which headphones to buy. im currently using xm4 but want to get a bit better sound since it sounds quite muddy and I will return them. Would the FiiO K3 or the Schiit Fulla 3 be better for driving the 560s/HE 400i (I haven't decided which I'll get yet)? Thanks, great informative video!
Which is best for Rock/Metal: hd560s or he400se? I like bright, mid/high/treb forward, airy. I have grados 80e, shp9500, ATH ad700x and love them. I don’t like warm, I have hd25 and Fidelio L2 (disappointing for me).
Hi Gavin. Good video. Question on 599 vs 560 - which is less sibilant? I am considering both coming from Grado sr80e and sibilance / treble harshness is my no 1 criteria. Would also like your opinions on bass with both. Thanks
Great video. a question, in your opinion which is better the HIFIMAN he400se or the sennheiser hd 560s? I am not sure which one to choose as I have seen that both are excellent and have a similar price. but I would like your personal opinion on which is better.
I have heard a couple of reviewers, tier 1 like yourself who don't like the Sundara and many like yourself who do. Is there a specific characteristic that causes the marmite response do you think as then I may be able to work out if Tey are for me. I have only received my first ever openback headphone today a reduced price FROM HE US Philips shp9600 and after only one HR openback are for me. Sou d quality is nowhere near my Mobius closed back but it's just the feel of the openness. I wa thinking on the Sundara as my first entry/mid tier openback so would value you r opinion.
Open back vs closed back headphones is an entirely new conversation. Sound signature is always a personal thing. Each headphone has its pros and cons. Open back IMO are good for vocals, classical, jazz and that sort of thing. Closed back for private listening, more defined bass eg in movies . Open back will always sound more better. But they are not suited for every listening environment eg commuting. The Sundara at their price point are excellent.
Thanks for the review. I just wanted to ask if 599 would be good as first open back headphone, i have HD 4.40BT currently which is closed back. Will i hear the difference ? As its also cheap at 100usd. Thanks for the reply
Any chance you could point me in the direction of a reliable, better build quality cable for the 560s? I run mine through a schiit stack and would prefer to keep the locking 3.5 mm jack on headpyhone side and the 1/4 inch on the amp side, but I sometimes do run them off my phone as well so it would be nice to have a shorter, preferably braided cable for when I'm traveling. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
Excellent and very detailed review man. I just had one doubt. I’m planning to buy the 560s to use mainly with my iphone x and macbook pro(without amp). Will they sound as good as when powered with amp? I already own an HD 569, so will they atleast sound better than them? Would be very thankful if you could help me out with this. I’m getting very confused as to whether i should buy them or not
Gain what shorter non balanced cable would u recommend for the Sennheiser, I am torn between these and the hifiman 400i 2020 still as my very first openback headphone
Hi, i recently watched your video on headfone recommended for Lg phones. I own a LgG7 and have experienced hi-fi quad dac before. I was so much inclined to 560s but when i when and checked in a mart near by i was getting 599 at a great bargain. Can you please let me know if 50ohms of 599 triggers hifi quad dac on Lg phones? And is it worth to pay extra for 560s? I am getting 599 for 83 euro and 560s for 160 euro. My usage is mostly music at home. Thanks for your time.
The 599 should trigger it. I don’t have the G7 anymore to test but 50 ohms was the magic number needed. The 560s are better but that 599 deal is excellent.
Hey man, So I ordered the pc38x and they came with static so I believe it’s a defect. I wanted to return them and get different ones, I was thinking about getting the hd560s but they don’t have a mic and I’m on Xbox. I was thinking about getting a mic attachment, like v moda boom pro, what do you recommend for mic attachments. And do you think this set up would be fine? If not, is there any better set up you could recommend for the same price range (150-240 ish) or should I just get a different set of pc38x
Hi Daniel. I haven't used the pc38x. Sennheiser do sell gaming headsets, so have a look at those. Might be under their EPOS brand. I haven't heard the boom mic so cant comment on it.
I'm just starting out and have a pretty tight budget. Which of these three would you recommend with a FIIO BTR5 DAC amp? I could spring for a balanced cable if I *had* to :)
Hey man I just discovered your channel and I appreciate how simple/forward your reviews are! A few questions: 1) If I have the philips shp 9500 and am looking for more soundstage ('grandness'), should I get the 560s or the Hifiman he400se? I mostly listen to violin stuff. 2) Is there a difference between balanced and unbalanced on the 560s?
@@GavinsGadgets Oh, I listen to mostly classical music (violin, piano, symphonies) and those are as I understand it midrange stuff, which the hd560s are supposed to be good at. What makes the hifimans better?
I came from a Sonys wh xm3 headphones and I switched to Fidelio l2 and I got a big deception because they sound good but compared to the Sonys they sound like cheap bad headphones and a lot of people told me that Its because im used to hear bass headphones and no, they sound worse than Sonys in my opinión and maybe this question will sound ridicolous but does the HD560s sound better than the phidelio and Sonys? 560s are better than the Philips and 599. The XM3s are a £300 pair of headphones with built in amp , so if you added an amp with the 560s then you would have a fairer comparison.
@@GavinsGadgets Oh I see, one last question, I was looking for wich is better, the HD600 or Sundara, here where I live it´s price difference is about 75-80 dollars, if I buy one of these, do you think the sundara worth those 70 dollars more of difference or it´s barely the difference in details? Thanks again for taking the time, really appreciate it!
Not heard that one but I’d be cautious about it being able to drive the 990s properly. The 560s benefit from an amp but they don’t need a mega powerful one. Difficult call TBH.

Sorry for one totally noob question... You were explaining how amplification is important for performance of Sennheiser HD 560s. Would M Audio Fast Track Pro be considered as an amplifier in this sense? There is a separate control for the level of the headphone output... (user manual for Fast Track Pro states the following: Headphone Output (D/A): Maximum Output -2.5dBV at THD < 0.05% into 32 Ohms ; Working Range 32 to 600 Ohms). Would Sennheiser HD 560s work fine for me? Thank you in advance, and please sorry if the question is too ... well.. you know.. :) Best!
Okay, okay. Thanks for the really helpful review. Out of all the headphones you mentioned, which do you think are the best specifically for using with a digital piano/Rhodes (best piano resonance, "realism"). I think easier to drive is a plus as well as comfort for long term use. Also I really value build quality.
I watched but I still don't know which fit my use case better. The 560s he400i or Sundaras? Are the Sundaras Worth it over the other options? I don't know.
@@GavinsGadgets thanks for the reply! I’ll be getting an amp too, like a FiiO K3 or Q1ii, which I think should drive any of the ones mentioned. I’m not looking for anything overly analytical. Just enjoyable to listen to. The 600 might be too analytical (and lack the bass), and I worry about the treble in the 560s not being as smooth as the 660s. Was also looking at Sundaras but the quality issue on them seem terrible. Anyway, I’m rambling, so thanks for your help!
Thanks Chris. I noticed that Cowon didn’t reveal the mW of power output and I couldn’t find it either. Honest answer, I don’t know. In theory it should though. But as to how well it does, not sure. I would email Cowon and ask them.
This was a balanced cable for the Sennheiser headphone , this is the one I bought myself www.amazon.co.uk/Balanced-Sennheiser-Headphone-Astell-XDP-300R/dp/B07M7G342B/
6:14 have to disagree with you there, vocals do sound nice but these headphones are by no means warm. The response from 1k to 20hz is practically flat and the lower midrange is scooped out very slightly so they're in fact a bit cold.
I might go for the AKG’s for the extra bass when watching films. If you want open back then the Sennheiser but the sound will leak abs others in the room or office want be happy.
Look at headphone weight. The Sennheiser ones are lighter, as is the HiFiMan. Also an open back headphone doesn't need to clamp as tightly . A closed back like the dt 700 pro needs more clamp force . Also if you just got it, give it a bit of time, it will clamp less over time. You could also try stretching the headband, carefully and gently which might help. But be careful doing this.
I'm running HD 560s with Macbook pro, no problem driving it at all. Adding an amplifier only just make it louder, not noticeable sound quality difference.
What would be an update for the fidelio x1s? Dt 990 pro? Hd599? Hd560s? I really liked the x1s, but would like an upgrade. I wanted a headset to use with a littlebear p10 amplifier
you want an appreciable upgrade, you have to go several price tiers up. Like Focal Elex is a good upgrade imo. Don't waste your money on all these midfi $200 side-grades. X1 were pretty alright overall and you could get X2HR if you liked them. It is not too expensive, its like $140 and it is better and more refined overall but like I said, if it still works and you care about an appreciable upgrade, Sundara, Focal Elex etc are the options below $1000.

Like:
Treble/Highs smooth and overall easier to listen to
Bass extension and the ?vibrations? It's not that tight like the HD560s
Spacious sound, but sometimes voice etc. sound not that close
Sennheiser HD560s do not necessarily need an amp.
Like:
Mids with crystal clear voices
Closer to the ears but still with soundstage (not too narrow)
Tight sound (sometimes too clean like the bass -> makes harder to vibe)
Light on the head
👍👍
Thanks for the informative video Gavin. Based on the current Black Friday 2021 prices, the HD599SE is significantly discounted at £90. The newer HD560s are £170 at the moment. Do you think it’s worth getting the discounted HD599SE? Thanks.
Also, please recommend a cheap dac/amp for this. I mainly use the headphones for Spotify and movies. Thank you!
I have a pair, so yes worth it. IFi hip DAC v2.
@@GavinsGadgets How do you rate mentioned IFI hip DAC compared to FiiO BTR5?
Great video Gavin! One question: do the 560s and the 599 use the same cable? Can you use a 599 cable on the 560s? Thanks
Thanks Gabriel. Yes same size cable.
Thank you so much for the video. You are awesome!
You are so welcome!
Wider soundstage is
a good thing, but not if the imaging becomes fuzzy or more hollow because of it.
Yes that should be a nice change for you.
@@GavinsGadgets Appreciate your answer and time. Take care.
@@BackSlushdid you get the 560s, how different is it?
Not heard the Meze yet so hard for me to provide an answer. Build on my Sundara are excellent.
@@GavinsGadgets Thanks a lot.
Really enjoyed your presentation Gavin. Have you heard the HD599SE? If you have heard it, do you think it would get closer to the HD560S than the basic HD599 did? I have the SE version.
The SE is identical in sound to the standard 599. If you have the 599se there's no point getting the 560s.
Thanks for the feedback and your views too. I really love the Sundara's!
i have the 599
should i buy the 560s?
I wouldn't as you won't get the improvement for that extra spend. I would wait and get something even better like the HiFiMan Sundara.

@@GavinsGadgets it doesnt have to be the 3 you are comparing.

Sundaras are better in all metrics by about 20%. If you have the budget for these, I would go this way. There's nothing else I would recommend
Would the FiiO K3 or the Schiit Fulla 3 be better for driving the 560s/HE 400i (I haven't decided which I'll get yet)? Thanks, great informative video!
Hi Will, not heard the Fulla 3, but I’d imagine both would do the job.
Which is best for Rock/Metal: hd560s or he400se? I like bright, mid/high/treb forward, airy. I have grados 80e, shp9500, ATH ad700x and love them. I don’t like warm, I have hd25 and Fidelio L2 (disappointing for me).
I'd lean towards hifiman but both ok

I Can’t find the balanced cable in the description..
Great video! I'm kinda stuck on which ones I should buy since I'm gonna run them straight from an iPhone 11, which ones should I go for?
None. You’ll never get to hear their true potential.
Hi Gavin. Good video. Question on 599 vs 560 - which is less sibilant? I am considering both coming from Grado sr80e and sibilance / treble harshness is my no 1 criteria. Would also like your opinions on bass with both. Thanks
Cheers for your feedback. 560s have less harshness etc and more bass.

Great video.
a question, in your opinion which is better the HIFIMAN he400se or the sennheiser hd 560s? I am not sure which one to choose as I have seen that both are excellent and have a similar price. but I would like your personal opinion on which is better.
See my reply left when you asked the same question.
between the three as well as HiFiMan Sundara which would you say leak the least amount of noise?
Sennheiser leak marginally less. But not much in it.
Nice video man. Do you think that I can play the HD560 nicely with an SMSL M3 amp?
Thanks. The 560 are relatively ok to power. I don’t know the amp that well but I think it should be fine.
@@GavinsGadgets Thanks.

599 are excellent.
Not really. I just got a replacement cable on Amazon from a company called Ablet. Another option I’ve used is a company called TRIPOWIN
I’m getting very confused as to whether i should buy them or not
Obviously an amp will get the most out of them. The iPhone might be slightly under power but worth a go.
Gain what shorter non balanced cable would u recommend for the Sennheiser, I am torn between these and the hifiman 400i 2020 still as my very first openback headphone
I just got one off Amazon tbh
I found HD 560s can be driven by normal PC or Mac just fine. Amplifier is really optional.
Yes they can. But with amp are even better.
They can, but they don't sound as good.

A few questions:
1) If I have the philips shp 9500 and am looking for more soundstage ('grandness'), should I get the 560s or the Hifiman he400se? I mostly listen to violin stuff.
2) Is there a difference between balanced and unbalanced on the 560s?
Violin. Hifiman. If you go balanced, your amp/dac will need a balanced output, and you'll need balanced cables for either headphone.
@@GavinsGadgets Oh, I listen to mostly classical music (violin, piano, symphonies) and those are as I understand it midrange stuff, which the hd560s are supposed to be good at. What makes the hifimans better?
The 560s are good. The hifiman are more detailed. Go with whatever you desire. 😀
I have K371, DT 770 pro. Do you think 560s anything relevant new to the table? I have always wanted to try open back headphones.

560s are better than the Philips and 599. The XM3s are a £300 pair of headphones with built in amp , so if you added an amp with the 560s then you would have a fairer comparison.

Yes I do. I would get these, and only get the HD 600 or 660s if you have decent amps
No problem 👍
Which of the bunch is best for gaming?
They all are TBH good for gaming. The HiFiMan offer the wider soundstage, so that might work better for playing games.
I have a behringer UMC22 and I want to buy the HD 560s. Do you think I need a amp ou something?
Try without first and see what you think
@@GavinsGadgets in case it doesn't work properly, which one do you recommend?
An amp will help improve things. A desktop amp like the ifi Zen dac2 or Zen can
@@GavinsGadgets can I connect it to the UMC22 audio interface?
I'm not familiar with that I'm afraid
Going to upgrade my hd599 to the hd560s. I use the fiio k5 pro. Will it be a good enough difference?
Not really
@@GavinsGadgets Damn, guess I should get a used 6xx instead.
You could go that route or try a different brand altogether to mix it up.
@@GavinsGadgets Nah, i want open back sennhiesers.
That’s fair enough!
Hi Gavin I’m getting a cowon d3 soon do you think it can run the 560s ?
I'm not familiar with the D3. What's is headphone output power?
@@GavinsGadgets hi it 2.0vrms unbalance and 4.0 balance
Thanks Chris. I noticed that Cowon didn’t reveal the mW of power output and I couldn’t find it either. Honest answer, I don’t know. In theory it should though. But as to how well it does, not sure. I would email Cowon and ask them.
@@GavinsGadgets thank you Gavin will do
please, which balanced cable is the one in the video?
I got it on Amazon. ablet was the brand.
hi what are this cables called at 3:59 ? I don't see the links in the description thanks
This was a balanced cable for the Sennheiser headphone , this is the one I bought myself www.amazon.co.uk/Balanced-Sennheiser-Headphone-Astell-XDP-300R/dp/B07M7G342B/
@@GavinsGadgets I'm trying to find a cable to work with the HD 560s and ifi zen dac v2 using the 4.4mm balanced output . any recommendations? thanks.
This cable will work. Just get a 2.5mm to 4.4mm balanced adapter. Or find one that has 4.4mm instead of 2.5mm. Plenty about.
where do i get the balanced cable ?
Hi Ricky. I bought the cable on Amazon. It was made by Ablet
@@GavinsGadgets will the cable work on a schiit heresy amp. The cable your talking about can you link me and will it work with my amp
It’s not available now on Amazon. OOS.
Are hd599 good for 100 bucks
Yes 👍
6:14 have to disagree with you there, vocals do sound nice but these headphones are by no means warm. The response from 1k to 20hz is practically flat and the lower midrange is scooped out very slightly so they're in fact a bit cold.
We can agree to disagree 😃
@@GavinsGadgets Agreed
I dont understand because Im french. Which do you prefer of the the three?
Depends on music genre and listening environment.
@@GavinsGadgets for films.
I might go for the AKG’s for the extra bass when watching films. If you want open back then the Sennheiser but the sound will leak abs others in the room or office want be happy.
Would you say the 560s are an upgrade for FPS gaming?
from what?
From Meze 99 Neos
@@GavinsGadgets first person shooter. In the matter that you have to listen at enemies footsteps in a 3D space.
The Meze are good. Not sure what you think you’ll achieve by changing them.
Either the 560s or HiFiMan. Both are fine.
What is most comfortable headhpone ever fo you?
All these in my review are very comfortable.
@@GavinsGadgets i see. I bought recently dt 700 pro, but I really feel uncomfortable to ware them for a long period time.
@@GavinsGadgets Thanks, man
i have a macbook pro. do i still need an amplifier to run the 560s?
Should be ok but an amp will make it even better. Try without first though.
@@GavinsGadgets how noticeable would a difference be by adding an amp (to someone who isn’t an audiofile)
Should be noticeable
I'm running HD 560s with Macbook pro, no problem driving it at all. Adding an amplifier only just make it louder, not noticeable sound quality difference.
Best open backs for movies?
Budget ?
@@GavinsGadgets Definitely no more than $250 unless an extra $50 means the difference between day and night and the parting of seas.
Do you like more bass for movies or a more balanced bass
@@GavinsGadgets good question. if it sacrifices midrange then balanced bass.
I was thinking Senheiser HD 6XX
That would be an excellent option.
What would be an update for the fidelio x1s? Dt 990 pro? Hd599? Hd560s?
I really liked the x1s, but would like an upgrade.
I wanted a headset to use with a littlebear p10 amplifier
not a big enough upgrade. really need to look at latest HiFiMan Sundara.
you want an appreciable upgrade, you have to go several price tiers up.
@@GavinsGadgets HiFiMan Sundara or 650? :) Sorry for asking twice.
Hi Gavin ! thanks for your video! but i still have few questions wanna ask you
1) how should I choose between hd599 for 150 USD and hd560s for USD
2) which one is more comfortable to wear?
Comfort. Identical. 560s harder to drive. More neutral.
I just bought the 560s. I hadn't seen your video yet. I have the possibility to make the return through amazon. they sound sublime I admit. but there is something up above that sometimes bothers me. otherwise excellent headset. in your opinion overall, should I return these and take the hifiman 400i?
should you really upgrade?
ps. the difference between 400i and 400i 2020 is only aesthetic?
thanks and congratulations
if you are enjoying the 560, then I would keep them. the HiFiMan sound different to the 560.
Once he said you do need an amplifier to drive the hd560’s I knew to stop watching 😂🤦🏾♂️
what amp you recommend for hd560?
I like the sound signature from the iFi audio range. Depends on your budget, music genres and whether you want a desktop or portable solution.
