Thanks for turning me on to the removable strip on the base that lets the saw be used on other rails. We got the corded version (too many battery platforms in our shop to add another) to evaluate for use with our bench system and the thing is now my favorite of the four brands we have. It just floats and is very satisfying.

You're very welcome Rob! I know what you mean about sticking to one battery platform... Your bench system looks amazing!!!

I have the regular saw, and I use the battery operated small Bosch vacuum, and it works great, almost no dust.

Ah, so that's what the "handle" RUclips has been banging on about is for - tagging.😁 . Good review mate. The 1 degree undercut has a few uses. For floors and panels mostly. Cutting from the back to protect a face for example, allows a relief to allow tight meeting if faces. Sometimes used up against a wall too. On dust collection, does seem to blow a lot out. The corded version was in part made by Mafell and had Mafells pull down window at the front of the blade really helps with collection. The cordless is missing that. Doesn't look like the cordless has any mafell DNA at all in fact. Still, no doubt be much better with a vac. 👍

Yeah, I'm attempting to "collab" 😂 Thanks for checking it out man! And thank you very much for explaining the 1 degree undercut!!! Does the same apply to the 46/47 degree bevel? You're right, the dust collection will doubtless be better with the vac plugged in. My DIY hardboard window stopper thing didn't help much 🤣 Good effort though I thought 😅

@@ReclaimDesign Your stopper is a good effort mate. Stick a vac on it and you'll notice the difference with it no doubt. 46 and 47 is more for head room when you're cutting to fit to something not a perfect 90, slightly obtuse angle 👍

Negative 1 degree is for joining panels, so you can pull the face up tight, without the back interfering ...It's also a leading edge on a door, unless you want a big gap around a door...Mafell make the Bosch track (They are identical tracks) They also make the Bosch corded plunge saw, but they don't make this one. Nice review 👌

Looks like a nice saw, but why do we need Bluetooth power tools. It just seems like one more thing to fail.
