    Thank you for the video. I was having a hard time trying to insert the umbrella.

    I watched this video because there was no way I could fit an umbrella no matter how hard I was pushing in. Eventually, I had to unscrew the piece that holds the clip in, took the clip out, pressed it with pliers so that it becomes much narrower and now the umbrella fits.

    Thank you for the detailed explanations (as usual). Saw on the web a few hacks to go around the insertion of the umbrella on the S2 mount. That includes removing the metal clip!!! Have seen a few videos on this channel and your consistence is outstanding. Well done! Cheers

    My main studio strobes are Elinchrom, so I use an Elinchrom bracket - soft-boxes/reflectors all work.
    I do also have some Bowens reflectors, so then the Bowens bracket is used - multi functional. :)

    I had a lot of trouble getting shaft through the hole...clip fell out and umbrella fits through...I use a little gaffer tape if umbrella slides a little other wise I do like these brackets..I have four of them...I didnt realize S2 had the Bowens mount! Good to know ...thank you.

      We've seen a few of these springs become damaged when an umbrella is inserted from the wrong direction. The Bowens mount indicates the front, but unless you're actually using a Bowens accessory, nothing stops you from facing the flash the other way. Not saying that's necessarily what happened here, but it's something that has come up for us a few times! The umbrella locking spring is also very tight when the bracket is brand new.
      If you need a replacement umbrella mounting section, we can probably get that part for you.

    Well, I got the S2 since I wanted to use a couple of TT685 or a 685 plus an older Powerextra speedlight but alas they will not fit together in the S2. I'm going to use my V1 and/or the TT685 whichever I choose with the S2...very versatile and strong bracket

    Okay, stiff? Man, getting a new Godux umbrella into a new Godox S2 bracket is quite an operation. But the UBW85 umbrella and S2 bracket are better quality than I would have ever expected.

    • @Strobepro
      @Strobepro  3 месяца назад

      The spring is a little tight at first. We think this is done on purpose since any spring will weaken over time.

      @@Strobepro - :) I had to take a pair of scissors to work the spring a bit before I could even get the umbrella to go in. But not complaining now that I understand what is going on.

    Thanks for reviewing this. What 'white' umbrella are you using in the demo? What is shaft diameter for the bracket? Thanks

      @XLJagon 11 месяцев назад +1

      Right. My limo studio umbrellas almost fit in the umbrella holder, but the diameter of the metal shaft is too big to fit...

    I see the video only shows these small flashes if two of them are used, but what if you have one small TT350 only? bracket description says it’ll work with the Godox TT350 but doesn’t by a hair, at least not mine, it can’t be tighten enough so it doesn’t fall.

    I have a large umbrella and it doesn’t fit in this. Any suggestions?

    • @Strobepro
      @Strobepro  25 дней назад

      The umbrella mount is designed for an 8mm shaft diameter, with 7mm or 8mm being the common sizes. If your umbrella won't fit in the umbrella slot, I wonder if the metal springy bit on the inside was damaged. If that was the case, you might be able to encourage things back into place with some thin needle-nose pliers. Also, as a general tip, be careful when inserting an umbrella since there is a front. Umbrellas should be inserted from the same side the Bowens mount is facing. This is not necessarily obvious since a speedlite can easily be pointed out ether way.

      You can put a Godox TT350 or V350 back to back vertical but larger flashes will not fit two.
