No other singer is better than Karen. Sometimes I think she is singing in my HEART. Her voice is Wonderful. She is very loved in Brazil and it's impossible to forget her.
Despite the quality of the video, this upload is absolutely precious. As frail as Karen appeared, her voice was as lovely and perfect as always. Thank you so much for this treasure.
I love watching all these old videos. Karen was an absolute treasure. She deserved so much better in her life. I think she was beautiful, genuine and a cute little humor about her. She was definitely a very well rounded entertainer......super at anything she did. I wish she had someone that held her hand and helped her through her issues. If I was Karen’s sister, I would have held her hand tight until we found the right treatment for her. I never watch the family interviews after her death because they were so matter of fact that she was gone....they did what they could and that was it, Karen’s choice. Even friends, always asked could I have said or done one more thing to help, I’ve never heard the family say anything close. How do they decide, enough “trying”. In the 80s, the Made in America album, she looked so tired in the videos. She really had no business being on stage. The “Touch me while we’re dancing” videos, there is something different and sadness in her eyes.....I can’t watch those. Breaks my heart to know how much pain and loneliness Karen was going through. A lot more is known about anorexia than back in those years. Who knows what she would be doing today. I think she would have been a great mother.....I wish she got to experience THAT kind of love. And what’s up with Richard finally releasing her solo songs after “mother” passes. I loved seeing all the tv specials. Karen should still be with us today. We were lucky to have her. I think it’s great to discover the old videos! Thank you for posting them. Karen is frozen in time... Still 💜you Karen and I know you see how much you are missed!!!
That might be one of the last several concerts she did in a row during that tour. She sounds a bit tired. I wish she didn't have to become obsessed with work and dieting. She deserved better, she deserved more love, support and balance in her life. 🌷

This is dark compared to the same 1976 Amsterdam show but this Japan show has the intro where Karen sounds so angelic I get chill bumps every time I hear her sing "Begun"( as Karen called it).Thanks for posting this!
Cont.that with all the science and resources and the scholarship fund for Karen's legacy that a Cure and strides move in that it brings help for so,many others that Katen opened the door with this disease that took a perfect ly beautiful talented Angel from us way before the dreams and life should have ever had to be mistreated by ignorance and the joy drained.I believe she had happy times but when she sings, and the tears and heartbreak appear in the eyes of her singing her fav.song I should have been in love that line of the song,every concert and show,video she always sits right a foot next to Richard because that song he wrote for her,about her it's obviously deep for her it's powerful. OK I've written a manuscript just know as we still feel her loss from our life and the end of what Only just begun. Let the new generations know and never stop sharing that this Karen shy girl and we watched grow to a young extraordinary part of our past,present and not to be never ever forgotten and We help Richard too by showing the world we won't say Goodbye to Karen and the Carpenter legacy. All the touring and sadness we've been having an amazing gift bestowed by the Great Karen and Richard The Carpenters,that I'm grateful for they helped me heal from loss in my life over the past 40+ yes its sad but, if the music,and what keeps circulation for the joy to keep Karen's candle still burning. Miss and love you,k.c bless R.C as he hits 75 in a month or two. Richard put out 2 LPS in 1984 after Karen his songs and recently with his style of music but I just think even with his great kids and wife the empty piece died that day with Karen it's been dedicating his time to his kids and wife but to Keeping her memory 💔 alive through rearrangement etc.and her memorialize the research and school in Karen's name. Richard love you,too. ❤
These were the trips that started to kill her. I made ocean crossings 4000 times in my life and I know how stressful they can be even under good conditions but flying a little learjet stuck in horrible turbulence for hours I can just imagine what that would be like. At least I had a jumbo jet to work with. Why Karen why. We loved you all the time just the way God-made you. You didn't have to be anything else but loved. Not just the bad sound but she simply sounds tired and should never have attempted these trips. thing is her doctors advised against them. M of A&M For bid them in 1975. They should not have even been in Europe consistently. Reno Tahoe Vegas the US that's It.

They did try to help her but it’s not really easy yo overcome anorexia . And the parents weren’t much help to her.
It was no choice. I have ana and it's no choice to have a disorder
just my opinion, but i think the mother abused both of them.
