These little fronts come through close to the w-ends and drop the temps and that back these fish out.... Just about every fish I've caught have had been a eager male, they're there and ready with the right water temp.... Won't be long and it'll be on.... Thanks for coming through brother....
Good video...im assuming you back in the Basin area of South La. I grew up there and i could swear thats where it is. I live in Montgomery Tx. now and commonly fish Lake Conroe. I had a good Sacalais spawn in February and March but they moved a bit deeper now. I went bull-brim hunting the other day and found a nice mess of them. I use a green headed 32nd weight hair wrapped by a guy out of Milton La. His name is Ken Frederick...he is on RUclips also. I just tipped the jig with a worm. I will try the little nugget next time. The worms make a mess. Anyway nice to watch an old timer share his technique. Reminds me of my old pops...miss him. God bless his soul. Anyway nice to meet you and i enjoyed being there with you in spirit.
This lake is in the Houston area....I fish Conroe at times also.....A small jig with some scent on it works great for them.... Love chasing these fish.... Thanks
What I like here is the man is fishing for something to eat, not just catching fish for the fun alone. I'd have kept that bass though ,they taste good too. Now I want to see you cook the up, that's next.
Some of the best eating to be had for sure..... Those old bass do cook up tasty.... I did cook some of these gills and shellcrackers up and shared in a video how I clean them and cook them..... Thanks for the great feedback....
Sure were some pretty fish! Pretty looking when you caught them and pretty tasty looking when you cooked them up! Thanks for taking us along for the ride!
SK, I really enjoy your videos and pointers. Can't say that I catch as many of those "pretty fish" as you but I am aspiring to do so ! Keep 'em coming, I love what you are teaching.
Now that’s some fun right there. Early bird always gets the jig. Like putting that puzzle together and see where they are when they not in the shallows. Pretty fish!
Hi , really e njoy your videos. You have thought me a lot. Thank you ! I see you putting something on your hook that looks like a tiny marshmallow. What is it and where can I purchase this ? It looks like it enticesthe fish to bite.
SK, my favorite way to catch Bluegill, Redear and Shells is with a strike indicator and a jig. I really enjoyed watching this video. It will be about a month away for that kind of fishing here in MO. You had to work for them at first but the old boy came through like he always does!!!!! I will be in the front seat watching you cook those babies up. We got 4 inches of rain two days ago and the lake had a 4 foot rise the nest day. Now I have to find somewhere to fish. Thanks again buddy.
That must have been a pretty big fish to take your jig and head for El Paso. Would have liked to have seen that one but you are catching some good size brim. Tight lines SK.
My most favorite fish to catch using a jig and bobber. Some pretty fish you’re getting there. Our water temps up here in Pennsylvania are just hitting low fifties so it’s gonna be a while before they hit the beds up here. Have fun and stay safe.
I sea the Big Boat is still in quarantine from the Corona Beer Epidemic....It wood seem the Slab Gills are ready for a fish dinner back at your place SK!!
As always, hard work and determination always wins out. It is often that we run into those tough days when the seasons change and water temperatures change back and forth. Good show buddy.
Thanks for coming through brother....I know you know these things are FUN to catch and are TASTY on the table.... It's just starting to get good here and I'll be after them a while.... Thanks for your continued support brother....
Sorry for all the individual questions SK. But what oz. Jig are you using and can you provide a link or a few pics to a few of your favorite hand tie BG jigs?
Funny watching you yank those small ones out of the lake!.....lol. Good job as always SK! BAM!!!
HaHaHaHaaaaa..... They for sure take a ride.....LOL
