  • Another excellent video on the Madeleine McCann case from Richard D Hall.
The Madeleine McCann disappearance has become one of the most enduring mysteries of our time. It has generated thousands of front page headlines in the UK press. Despite the unprecedented coverage, few people have any detailed understanding of the circumstantial and physical evidence of the case. The mainstream media has been used to create diversion and confusion over what really happened, rather than inform their readers about the facts. This film exposes the so called private investigations instigated by the McCanns, details of which have never been aired on TV before. It reveals evidence and detailed testimony about the government agencies who were claiming to be searching for Madeleine or helping the McCanns, but was this really their agenda? Our four documentaries represent the most detailed film based analysis of the Madeleine McCann story, leaving the viewer with an understanding of the comprehensive establishment led cover up, and offer suggestions as to what all the evidence really points to. -- See www.richplanet.net/ for more information.

These dogs have no human in the fight! They react to the 400+ gasses from a cadaver whether 20 feet below ground, under water, 20 minutes post death or 20 years after. They have 200-300 million scent receptors vs 6 million for humans. Their scent region in the brain is 40 times larger.
Who came out ahead in this sad case? The McCanns w/5 million net worth on a £75,000 salary (do the math with taxes, cost of living, etc), a home worth £500,000 plus vacation homes. And they used the “find Madeleine fund” to make mortgage payments?

Thing is, we can't determine what the dog is detecting. Yes, I can accept that it's a valid scent-of-death, but that says nothing as to how it got there.
From memory, the dogs were brought in a long time after the McCs had left that apartment. The PJ would have known this wouldn't meet the chain-of-custody requirements but they did it anyway. Why ? Any decent defence lawyer would have come up with countless ways to dismiss this evidence.
For example, how difficult would it be to plant false cadaverine in the area before the dogs arrived ?
Or maybe somebody /did/ die there, after the event. I'm not claiming to know what happened. I'm just confused as to what the dogs were there to do ?

One dog was trained to detect blood & the other cadaver.......specifically, they alert only to human blood & human cadaver. So, "planting" such odour before would be tricky, to say the least & as there is a full & complete record of every guest tat stayed in the apartment, it is known that no one died there. The use of sniffer dogs is meant to underpin lines of enquiry & the alerts are considered as supportive to the existing evidence.

When the panic set it I started to move quicker and looked outdoors and back again quickly in the house. I was at that point in adrenaline mode and called the military police (we lived on base.) My husband was security police and when the law enforcement officers arrived a bunch of SP came as well. I had not stopped looking the entire time. I remember repeating over and over “HE’S MiSSING! I still believe to this day that the parents are
responsible for there daughters dissaperance. Two doctors don't have the combined intelligence to know that you never leave three children aged 3 and under alone, especially in a foreign country and in a hotel. Also the fact that they give their children sedatives to make them sleep is also horrible. I watched so many documentary on this case and researched so much and the only conclusion I can come to is that her parents killed her by accident/or on purpose and hide the body away so she will never be found again. The reason for this is because when they bought the police dogs they sniffed blood in the room and in the family car which they probably used to move the body. Secondly when someone loses their baby girl in the middle of the night why would you stop looking for them and go to bed and fly out the next day a little suspicious if you ask me (if that was my child god forbid I wouldn't leave until I find them). what else is really wired is the family has made millions from selling books and travel the world on private jets a little fishy if you ask me. The only suspects are her parents.
    - The McCanns left the little children alone even though there was a babysitting service available and Madeleine had previously cried and asked them where they had been.
    - There was no evidence of a break in or abduction.
    - Kate and Gerry admitted they did not search for Madeleine when she went missing.
    - Kate's reaction to not finding Madeleine in the apartment was to shout "they've taken her".
    - They changed their accounts of what happened on the evening Madeleine went missing.
    - They initially said the shutters had been jemmied open, broken and raised, the window open. Later, with no evidence of a break in or damage to or tampering
with shutters or window, they said they must have left the patio door unlocked.
-Gerry had replaced a faulty fridge in 5a which the owner said was working Perfectly fine when he let the Villa. He disposed of a broken fridge at a dump, then replaced it? Who would go out and pay for a new fridge in a holiday
rental? Surely that is something you would contact the rental agents about first. it would be the villa owner's responsibility then he deleted all mention of it from his blog and his supporters denied all knowledge of a broken fridge.
    - Kate refused to answer 48 police questions, even though Gerry McCann told interviewer Jeremy Paxman, who mentioned the "media circus", that any parents would try to get as much info as possible into an investigation to find their missing child.
    - The one police question Kate did answer was to acknowledge she understood that her failure to answer questions might jeopardise the investigation.
    - Kate and Gerry refused to take part in a Portuguese police reconstruction.
    - Gerry refused to comment when asked if he knew fellow suspect Robert Murat
    - Former doctor friends the Gaspars contacted
Leicestershire police to express concerns that David Payne had jokingly made sexual comments and gestures about Madeleine to Gerry. Leicestershire police failed to pass the statements on to the Portuguese for 6 months- after lead detective Amaral, convinced of the McCanns' guilt, had been taken off the case.
    - They lost their libel case against Amaral, over his book The Truth of the Lie, and his assertions of his belief in their guilt, based on various evidence.
    - 2 reliable British-trained dogs, with expert handler, alerted to blood and cadaver scent in the McCanns' apartment, possessions, clothes and hire car.
    - Kate explained the cadaver scent on her clothes as due to her work as a doctor.
    - The McCanns left the hire car doors and boot open, explained that the dog's cadaver scent marking was due to the smell of rotting meat in the boot, also to dirty nappies.
-Also, just before the apartment got searched again, her parents had bleached her favourite teddy bear. This could have been a key piece of evidence. Its a teddy, there was no need to
bleach it, especially not just before another search.
    - When asked much later which possible sightings of Madeleine had interested them, Gerry could not think of any and Kate finally mentioned one in Amsterdam.
    - They then redirected the issue back to Jane
Tanner's supposed and convenient sighting of a possible abductor on the evening of Madeleine's disappearance.
    - When on another occasion they were asked about their emotions when a possible sighting was mentioned, Gerry smirked.
    - Gerry was filmed laughing on a balcony a few days after Madeleine disappeared.
    - In various interviews Kate and Gerry showed a lot of concern over being believed, their own reputations, reinforcing the narrative of an abduction, but little over what was happening now to (supposedly abducted) Madeleine.
-Expert statement analyst Peter Hyatt said he was certain Kate and Gerry were lying in interview.
    - Despite public disquiet over their veracity, the
McCanns have refused to take a lie detector test.
    - Various statements of the McCanns and their friends changed and were contradictory.
    - Jane Tanner's initially vague account of the possible abductor changed and became more detailed. Initially, she said she did not see his face, then claimed it was Robert Murat, but retracted that, and much later said that he had scruffy long hair and moustache, to fit another alleged suspect (who looked very different from Murat).
    - 3 of the McCanns' friends said they saw Robert Murat in the area of the McCanns' apartment the evening Madeleine disappeared. Other people who knew him did not. They later admitted they may have
    been mistaken.
    - The police interview statement of David Payne confirming he saw Madeleine alive before they went out for drinks was riddled with hesitancy and contradictions compared with what Gerry and Kate said.
    - The Madeleine fund has not been a charity, nor totally committed to finding her.
    - A huge amount of time and money has been spent on lawyers and suing critics of the McCanns that might have been spent instead on finding Madeleine.
    - A huge amount has been spent on criminal and incompetent private detectives with bogus stories and leads. Year after year there have been new prime suspects publicised by the media, and police wild goose chases, diversions from the truth, and often promoted by the McCanns and their publicist/media
    controller Clarence Mitchell
There are way too many "Scooby Doo-esque" oddities around the whole thing. I've studied body language and theirs is all over the place when they are questioned about it, particularly Gerry's. its obvious the parents were involved. the parents never shed a tear! they always talked about her in past tense too.

We don't just need to find the -last- person to see her alive. We need to find a whole chain of people, to verify that it was the same MBM throughout. Many people claim to have seen her, but there were so many girls with whom she could've been mixed up. Add to that the weird signings-in and -out, it's quite possible that she did disappear three days prior. One single credible witness to put her visibly alive during that time would be sufficient to debunk it.

This couple left 3 infants for at least 30 min at a time. Not single parents. 2 of them. Literally NO excuse. As DOCTORS they are well aware of the LAW regarding this. Their mother states they had a nanny in the UK to help them. Why did they not bring the nanny if they didn't want a 'stranger' taking care of the children? They also did not use the babysitter service. For 3 infants? That is sheer madness. Even if they did not wish a stranger to attend their children, as DOCTORs they are all too aware of the problems that can occur in minutes, let alone 30 minutes. They need to be treated as each of us would be. We would be jailed for abandonment, or at least prosecuted. Why have they different rules to every other parent in the UK? I think so too. They either buried her or dumped her in the ocean IMO. I don't think they intentionally killed her, I think there was some kind of accident in the apartment and they chose to get rid of poor little Maddie's body because they were scared of being blamed and going to prison. Possibly because they had sedated her and an autopsy would find whatever drug they used in Maddie's system. If they did drug her, Maddie could have died because they accidentally gave her a fatal dose. Another possibility is that Maddie may have woken up at some point while the idiot parents were partying and was drowsy from a sedative (or even if she wasn't drugged) and had an accident that killed her. Like maybe she was scared, looking for her parents, climbed up on something to look out the window and fell and got a head injury.
Either way, and even if it really was a kidnapping (I don't buy that for a second) those parents are still responsible. They were highly negligent leaving their small children alone in an unlocked apartment in a foreign country while they sat at a restaurant quite a distance away for hours eating and drinking. They should have had serious consequences just for their negligence alone.

This was a subtle confession by Kate, the kids had woken up on a previous night and were crying for hours while the parents were at a restaurant, there's even a witness account from a holiday maker in another apartment who said she heard kids crying for hours. So Kate felt guilty about the fact that they had woken up while they were out so on the fateful night the kids were sedated or given stronger sedation. The reason why she brings up that story about Maddie asking about where Kate was when she was crying is because she is saying "I didn't mean to cause Maddies death, I was being a good mother by sedating them so they would sleep right through and not cry for hours while we are out" But then she twisted it into the mysterious abductor who had somehow visited before. There is no abductor, there is only the parents abandonment which ultimately caused Maddies death in the apartment.

Why would one of your first thoughts not be - has she woken up and gone wandering off for mum and dad, she's in an alien place, I would have thought that straight away. Not that I would have dared to leave my young children like that in the first place - the whole event is insane 🤷

Good for you, the parents are guilty of neglect, by leaving their children alone, I have never been abroad with my children but I certainly didn’t leave them alone.
If I was on holiday I took my children with me, so what if they had late nights, WE WERE ON HOLIDAY, time to let our hair down.
Being on a low income, I always took Calpol with me, along with antihistamine cream for bites or stings, piriton for allergies and Medised should my children get a cold.
I also took Day and Night Nurse capsules incase my husband or myself got a cold, along with enough nebuliser treatment for me, extra tablets for both my husband and I. In addition to which I had ordered enough oxygen to last me for well over the week we were away.
A fully stocked First Aid Kit.
Yes, obviously I could have bought them from anywhere in the UK, but as I said I was on a low income and didn’t want to spend holiday money on things that I had as “stock” at home
The parents did it, they were both in high paid jobs and could therefore afford to pay off people who would then keep quiet.
I certainly wouldn’t have left the door open and unlocked, what parent in their right mind would?
I hope that the truth will out.
I would love to read the book, but I’m damned if I would finance this couple through my purchase.
Everyone I’ve spoken to, with children has said the same - I wouldn’t leave my kids alone, ( in England or abroad).
Whilst on a holiday in Wales, my daughter went missing, my heart was in my mouth, my pulse was so fast, I couldn’t breath, I felt sick, I wanted to call the police and so many more emotions and physical signs.
My first thought wasn’t SHE’S been abducted, it was get hold the site security and anyone else at the time that could help me find my daughter.
Fortunately she was found in about 5 minutes, banging on the door to the swimming pool, she was wearing a green jelly babies swimming costume, she had picked up her towel and shampoo! She was no older than Madeleine.
Why didn’t they use the free facilities for child care?
      So many questions remain unanswered…

Astonishingly, very few people, seem to have considered this as unusual, or have been willing to challenge the parents on this.......most notably, the police, social services or the media. Of course, the group.....all nicely middle-class & in respected, professional roles were just out for tapas & the 14 bottles of wine they shared between the 7 of them, whilst their children were far out of sight, was not considered as a further example of neglect.....

If you go with the idea that she was already dead, they would have put her in another apartment, and that's the room from which she was taken (by G as a prelude to disposal proper)

Yes, it is concerning tho, when they descrive maddy as a 'little ringleader " and they do describe her as very loud, you knew she was there frombthe loment she was born.
It maybe was overwhelming for them, with their busy impirtant jobs. Esp to have twins come along when maddy was a toddler.
It's just the way they didnt want to watch them always and they wanted to enjoy their holiday as adults / children with the kids beibg in the day cpub a lot then being put to bed early for those long nights alone inbthe apt whilst their parents went out... not just to thevTapas Bar but to Chaplins...6 minutes walk away! I knew they were guilty right from the start. And what was extra weird was gerry having his tennis lessons and kate always looking immaculate with different jewellery etc, in the immediate days after. Any normal parent would be so traumatised that their kid is missing the last thing on their mind would be tennis or how they looked and what jewellery to wear to match an outfit. They are cold hearted weirdos. The whole thing is a cover up and the mccanns have done NOTHING to help find her, blocking questions , refusing polygraphic tests, contradictory statements, cadaver dogs detecting blood in the apartment and car.....that david payne needs his computers seized and to be investigated for noncing too. What a vile bunch. Whatever happened to thia poor child, whether killed, sold, or anything else.....Imo the mccanns are complicit.

"Ask the dogs????" If I was the parent of a missing child Id being going crazy worrying why they found blood and cadaver evidence of my beloved baby and would want to know HOW or WHY the dog alerted to her blood and death in the apartment and car... Not mock those findings.... A red flag for me..
Also why did they find Maddies blood in a car booked weeks after she vanished and why was boot left open for several days ( neighbours )???...
WHAT happened to dads tennis bag? which was stored in the cupboard where the cadaver dog alerted .. why did they alert to cadaver and blood in their apartment ... why did Kates clothes and toy alert to a dead body...
It was suggested the blood splatters on wall by window were mosquito blood... but just in one place
Would Kare really wear her holiday clothes to her place of work? She was a GP not a forensic dr dealing with dead bodies day to day .. so why did her clothes to cadaver scent....?.
After day 1 of holiday their plans changed ..instead of meeting up with all the other children for lunch so they could eat together each day they ate alone in the apartment... Yet they were all so keen to eat out each night???...Noone saw Maddie after that first Sunday.. Yes she was booked into the nursery but only 1 nursery worker stated she could remember seeing her there and it looked as if Kates signature was added later...
    .
The photo given for her last day was was of Dad and twin and Maddie sitting by pool ...all pale..not sun kissed. Yet the photo of Maddie holding tennis balls( taken same day?) showed heavily sun kissed arms and face. It took weeks to get and she had a fatter body and her head looked too far back for the body... Why didnt they take more photos? There were only 5 of Maddie for the whole holiday and they were mostly from the same night ....
It is suggested by Richard Hall that she died on day 1( the only real photo ). ? overdose accident and it was hidden for 4 days . The day it was declared she was already gone...
Apparently Dad bought a new fridge for the apartment...What happened to the old fridge? And why buy a new one? Id complain and demand a new one... unless it could incriminate by alerting to cadaver...These are not my theories but presented by Hall in his impressive analysis....
Kate said her cuddle cat toy alerted to cadavar as she used to take Maddies toy to work with her???.. So it was mums toy not Maddies?
Why did Kate run to alert everyone Maddie had been abducted and leave TWO two year old babies alone in the very same apartment where an abductor had just taken her 3 year old ??.
For me if my kid said shed cried when she woke up and they were not there..Id not l have left her alone the next night ..
None of those questions have been answered as KM refused to answer them at the police station. Why?
It just doesnt make sense. I want them to...but so much has been left unexplained....

I was 16 when Maddie went “missing” and I strongly remember my Mum was completely convinced it was the parents.
Years on and I’ve become somewhat obsessed over this case and I cannot fathom how the McCans had so much compelling evidence against them and got off Scott free..it’s madness.
I watched the Netflix documentary and it made me sick. It was infuriating listening to this biased view completely ignoring all the evidence pointing to the parents. So much blame was put on the police in Portugal but the what on earth were the British police doing? How on earth has this happened?
I believe it was most likely an accidental death but I also believe there was child abuse at play.
When people ask “Why would the parents lie? How could they carry this lie on for so long? “ errrr to serve themselves, to prevent a life of prison.
Same reason anyone lies about anything, to protect themselves. They don’t care about their daughter.
Also one thing that’s always bothered me so much. Kate find that Maddie is gone, is convinced she’s been taken…then leaves her two other children in the same apartment to run off and alert the others?when there’s a supposed child abductor on the loose. WTF? I pray to God, Buddha, Allah..Father Christmas..that these two get what they deserve.

@Sophie Turner. Let us say Maddie’s death could be put down to the parents’ negligence or ruthless over-strictness. That fact alone would put a question-mark over their fitness to practice as GPS giving authoritative advice to other parents. It would have fatally damaged their professional standing. And ruined them financially. That alone would have caused them to take panic measures -quite apart from any of the more lurid possibilities that have been mentioned.

For anyone who has lost a child, and goes missing. I can only imagine how they feel. That so much time and money, as well as media attentionThe average money spent on a case of a missing child, is just £13,000, according to a Scotland Yard detective.?.
If they hadn't left the kids alone, Maddie may still be alive, and we would have never heard about the MCcanns. When you think of the dangers of leaving kids alone, choking on vomit, falling down, electrical fires, wandering out in the night, and falling down steps. Etc. You'd think Doctors would be aware of such dangers?.
This case should have been wrapped up in the first few weeks or days If the PJ police were allowed to continue investigating the case.
After all these years, it looks like, and very unlikely, the truth will come out, although it's obvious
    Or, any action being taken,
How can they go on and on in the public eye, guilty or not, and relive things, painful memories continually?.
I personally couldn't go there. When my parents passed, I was so broken, I couldn't even look at their photos, it was too painful, To have lost a child, I can only imagine, what that feels like.

I believe something sinister happened and it involved not just the parents, but others also.
Why did the mother instantly cry abduction, when from her own account the children were alone, asleep in an unlocked apartment? My first thought would have been that Madie had woken up and walked out the door and was wandering around looking for her parents, not that she was abducted. They are guilty and one day they’ll have to answer to God for their crime. 😢

My supsicion was that her parents were involved in an elite pedophile ring and sold her in exchange for money and wealth. (likely using the kidnapping case donations later on as a money laundering scheme). Of course the elite pedophile ring would also promise them to shield them from legal repocussions. The only problem with that theory is it doesn´t explain Madelyns traces of blood in the apartment and the cadaver dogs barking. So Madelyn most likely died in the apartment and was never abducted in the first place.

This case always pissed me off. Any other family in their spot would have been arrested for the murder of their kid. It is disgusting how the British government went in demanding them not to look at the parents. The Portugal police were right. Evidence showed she died in that apartment. Blood doesn’t pool under tiles from cuts or bloody noses. You have to bleed a substantial amount for it to pool under tiles and such. The British politicians and the British police that went there went there for the parents NOT justice for the victim. The British citizens should be pushed at their government and police and they shouldn’t be donating to that couple. It’s been how long now? If she was trafficked there would have been proof of it by now and she would be old enough to say hold up I think I’m that girl. I hope they find the body. Because that would finally bring an end to this huge lie. She died in that apt and they didn’t want the police to find out they sedated all the kids. They should have tested the kids. They hid it because they would lose their license and also I’m sure they smuggled the sedation medicine into the country.

I agree. I feel really sorry for the Portugal police, they knew the truth and it was all covered up. Disgusting that they're still milking it to this day and the 14m spent on it. Hell is eternal is all I can say!

They didn't 'smuggle' anything into the country !! It seems they may have used Calpol, a common children's medicine ! You are allowed to take your medications abroad !

Hats off to Mr Hall for this incredibly detailed investigative documentary. So many elements in the MC case do not pass the smell test. Shady characters and maneuverings at work to mislead and obfuscate. It begs the question: To what end? Disturbing to say the least.

Very detailed.investigative review... From Day 1 focus seemed to be on abduction theory and quashing anyone who dared to contradict it...Full of unanswered mysteries, inexplicable contradictions, and misdirections. . I pray that the truth comes to light .. For Maddi

Truly excellent documentary - an amazing amount of research.
It would appear that an enormous number of doubtful characters have been used at great expense. Amazing how quickly legal 'experts' were on the 'case'. Still left with my original thoughts when I first heard details reported i.e.
"Sounds dodgy to me. If they had been staying at - say - a UK caravan site then I suspect, the twins would have been held by social services and the McCanns under intense interrogation as to why 3 very young children were left unaccompanied".
The video casts doubt on so many aspects of the case but there is still no ‘obvious’ conclusion.
    Well done Richard

How can you even have nice time knowing your children are by them self?! I wouldn't be able to relax for 5 minutes! We hear alot about people getting to the room just like that they always have a spare key. Even thinking about children waking up and crying for they parents because of the nightmare!such a young children how can you even think that it's ok to leave them alone?! Honestly most of the people would be in trouble for leaving they children alone why they ok I dont know. And knowing that ur child could be hurt is beyond me.hopefully she didn't suffer and no one tortured her.hopefully she is still alive and good

They obviously didn't really want children. They were too busy acting like they were child free.
