Hey just a friendly reminder. By hitting dislike,Like, or commenting your telling youtube its okay to keep recommending my videos that's how their algorithm works and it also helps pay me with ad revenue if you have youtube red and the money helps me keep making more videos so if you HATE me that much just don't watch them because your hate grows my channel lol. I think you are awesome and inspiring. People will always tell you, you can't do this or that, you didn't listen and you have proven you can get a nice job out of cans . I think that is the thing I like best is you do your thing and you are good at it and inventing new ways as you go.
I painted my really scratched up and surface rust areas 2003 one ton truck I bought with black Rustoleum, after sanding the bad areas down, and it looks great! Just like new!
Just sold our lifted pilot. Just some advice and food for thought. The wife’s Was lifted 3in. Put it on 32in falken rubatrek tires. 16x8 +15 wheels. Here’s the catch. They hunt really bad for a gear with that big of tire and the awd system takes the toll. Not only that we went from 18mpg to 10 or less. If I was to do it all again I would only go up a size maybe 2 at the most.
Wow, not bad for a spray bomb job. Nice work! My friend painted a duster yrs ago with black spray cans and then wet sanded and buffed it and you couldn't tell it was a spray can job, looked great. Cool video my friend!
Nice job guys, I ran a commercial paint company for thirty years. My guys used to call these rattle can jobs. Their truck would be blue on Friday and by monday morning they would pull in with a red truck. When I first started back in the eighties I had an old guy that worked for me. He would do what he called a powder puff job. He would brush the car and take a powder puff and dab it to get a light stipple. Crazy thing was if you passed him going down the road you couldn't tell.
RUSTOLEUM NEEDS TO SPONSOR YOU BRO YOU ARE A HARD WORKING AND DEDICATED MAN TO DO ALL THESE VIDS AND BY FAR ONE OF THE BEST PAINTERS ON YT GOD BLESS KEEP THEM COMING GONNA DO MY CRV SOON
I would never even have thought of painting this SUV white. But it seem to look nice in whatever color you choose to throw at it. It looks totally awesome. And that finishing touch with the light green logo really made it stand out. This is magic! :-)
i really enjoy you painy videos. they are a big help. i am getting ready to paint my 2004 chevy monte carlo using the rust-oleum turbo paint in black along with spray max 2k clear. the body is solid just some small dings, scratches and stone chips. thank you for the great videos.
Yea they have been sponsoring my channel for 2 years now and they are stepping up in such a big way and I am a huge fan of their products because they actually work
@@JamesDguy thats awesome! Bro when will you a do a fix peeling clear coat video , and new clear on oem paint? You would get mad views on it. I'm fixing to buy a car with peeling clear on it. Its black , so maybe easier to repaint?
Im remodeling a 1989 van and trying to make it look like the A-Team Van. Watching your vid inspired me to gove the spray paint tactic a try. Thanks man!
Good stuff mate, I painted my own BMW 3 series with factory code silver other year with fan/wide spray nozzle rattle-cans off eBay (base and clear-coat) I did a new wing(fender) and front bumper and it matched the factory paint job perfectly never tried anything like that before and when my mate saw it he didn't believe I did it first until I showed him the pictures! Lol He reckons I should become a sprayer now, doing small jobs here n there maybe get a small compressor and that. (The nozzle wasn't like what you got on that rustoleum though, that thing looks huge!) The one I used was just like a normal rattle can nozzle but just comes out a little bit wider and thinner, rather than in a blob/ circle, but the same pressure and coverage of a normal rattle can though, so I went through a fair few! But I did it for the experience, rather than cost, teach myself how to do it as like a challenge and learn new skills. I could have just bought em pre done, but the sense of satisfaction after was immense! ( I even built a temporary spray booth from wood and a massive tarp to do it in lol 😅 OCD!) Great job on the 4x4 mate looks good 👍 All the best from London England
Hey it's Dean from in the video, check out his playlist of his other Rust-Oleum paintjobs. Make sure to pay close attention as he includes a lot of detailed information but it's easy to miss if you skip around.
In the late '60's hand down a '65 Pontiac to me. The paint job was faded so I had a bright idea to paint it. Carefully taped off the trim and bought a can of auto paint. Other than the brush strokes I didn't do a bad job. HA HA HA!!
Wow! I was going to paint my pontoon boat fencing using a compressor, spray gun, mix sticks, expensive paint, clear coat, etc. I'll be using Rustoleum Turbo instead. Much appreciated. Thank you!
The Pilot looks so much better white. The texture is cool too. Looks like the head lights need some love next. That product in Australia is 4 times the price you guys pay for it. Look forward to the next project👍👍
God bless you you do a great job with spray cans and I just wished I had a little bit of that confidence to paint my truck I love your channels both of them I watch them all the time keep up the great work God bless you and your family
Looks good, I like the white, I used the same paint on my celica and topped it off with rusto “metallic” paint that has a no color to it and I’m really surprised how good it turned out.
Looks very good for the cost of your investment....For an daily beater this is the best alternative to a paint job that could easily cost more than the car...
Who would dislike this?? The ripple finish works really well on a 4x4 like this. On a regular car it would look odd. But great job car looks a million times better.
That was an awesome job I really like that how would that work on a Dodge Durango what I use the same grade sandpaper you use to sand it down and would that on a factory paint job
Yes, I'm using this product to paint a car and after 24 hours drying, you can wet sand it. Do the usual 1000, 2000, 3000 wet sanding, then a few applications of rubbing compound (using a machine - don't do it by hand!), polishing compound, then a final wax-type polish + buffing. This is my first attempt at painting anything, really, but it comes out looking like a mirror. It just takes a LOT of time, and a few mistakes along the way.
Ik you use rustoleum alot and you do great with it. I was at walmart looking for the 2x gloss black and they were out, so I grabbed krylon fusion gloss black. Have you ever used krylon paint? If not you should do a project with krylon paint. It was like 1$ more than rustoleum.
Krylon sucks in the long run. You will see what I mean. I mean I hope you don’t have issues but every single time I use krylon it’s crap. Looks good for a few weeks and then starts chipping no matter how much prep I put in, primer or whatever it always fails. I stopped using it for nice paint jobs and I don’t buy it but sometimes people give me their old cans because they didn’t like how it “didn’t hold up” so I use the left over cans to cover exposed metal on exhaust systems or things like that. Places it won’t be seen. I hope the best for you though!

I think Rustoleum should start a Turbo Spray paint in all colors.

Thanks i appreciate it.

Wow, it looks amazing and you’ve come a long way. I remember your first videos. Congrats and keep up the good work!
Looks great James !!
If you're good with spray cans then that means you're a professional with the real painting equipment honestly wow
I’m good with rattle cans, but very bad when it comes to a spray gun. I’ve never been able to get it to lay right.
@@TherealWinterpillow my little brother is the same way..
@@TherealWinterpillow you ever have someone show you how to setup your spray gun?
@@dylanbailey6965 sure have not. I have most of my experience from diy videos on RUclips.
@@TherealWinterpillow watch paint society, he has somr pretty good videos on how to spray and how to setup your spray gun
I was surprised that the 'Shield' insignia or lettering is not visible through the white paint.Good job! How many coats did it take? How many cans?
Mentioned how many cans in the video towards the end and it was the light coat then heavier over it
@@JamesDguy Let me do a rewind then!
Yeah Buddy! More spray painting!
$8 a can ,2025 it's $15.98😂
Looks like a complete different vehicle. Great job as always!!
Lovett awesome job you guys did great going to do it to my truck and I have a Jeep Commander
This looks great after watching one of our videos me and my brother decided to paint his car

Looks good sir keep up the good work check out thunderer tires good for the price
Thats some pretty good results out of 5 cans of spray paint. Keep up with the good content.
Haters gonna hate. 😂 they’re just mad that you’re pulling this off with spray cans. Great work man, keep it up!
Outstanding job.
Looks great. That’s a good idea for a off-road vehicle since that won’t scar h easily.
Looks great. You were not lying about the wide spray
James...the Pilot looks AWESOME!
I am blown away by this 🤯
Great job, looks great!
Really good job! Impressed by how rust oleum goes on!
I been waiting for this turbo video for a while now man! My Hyundai came out great using this stuff
Panda gonna be jelly, hahaha
Nice paint job.
The black would look good on an old rat rod pickup i bet, nice job, your an awesome dude!
Great work. I just did a bus with rolled on paint. Thinking I should have gone an done it your way.
Roll on paint method works good especially after wet sanding if your young for a smooth finish
Love rustoleum this is a killer product these turbo cans are crazy
Man that can with the fan does really good I'ma have to get one of those for my next project.
Dude, I love rustoleum paint jobs. Subbbbed

How is the paint holding up ??

You made it look easy. Thank you for sharing the project. Great result! Cheers 👍😎🇦🇺
I like the white bedliner look. I hope its not a pain to keep clean.
It is easy to clean i already went off road with it and got it nasty and let it dry in the sun and it came clean really easy. So far so good.
does the turbo paint leave a semi gloss finish compared to the normal rustoleum gloss?
You should coat that with Spray Max 2k semi matte clear coat. That will keep the rustoleum from weathering and washing off.
I'm impressed.
