Really great tips and advice emphasizing the importance of self-care and making time for fun! Thank you, it’s always a very good and much needed reminder. Really important tip too about finding the root cause of our cravings for sinful pleasures and excesses (ex. gluttony) and then finding better ways to address those. I really like St. John Bosco too, he always has such inspiring quotes.
I hope you take care of yourself Elisabeth, it's good to see you again. You look happy. I tell my sisters this all the time, to remember to take care of themselves. Peace, in all things God.
You do a lot here plus everything else I'm sure. And I know you helped me before. You will always be my first You Tube connection. God bless you forever. Rest in thoughts and prayers 🙏
Thank you for this Elisabeth. I have always been taught that innocent fun is a good gift of God. I wonder if one of the ways we can praise God is by enjoying the good gifts He continues to shower upon us day after day. We can use and enjoy these good gifts in a God pleasing and innocent way. Blessing to you.
Many great points in this video, Elisabeth! I especially liked the one about imagining simultaneously being a child and the parent of that child - and to judge whether the parent is neglecting the child. This breaks away from the everyday perspective where you might not see the wood for the trees and gives you an eagle-eye perspective instead. I sometimes do something similar when I don't know what to do: I imagine what a wise man (maybe some Gandalf type) would advice someone in my situation to do :) This usually makes me see something that would bring me atleast a little bit in the right direction.
Excellent video on an interesting topic. Your presentation was informative and your background setting and demeanor is perfect for this quiet Sunday. Praise be to God!
Wow! Amazing Video! So True! I Recently Started Excercising , and I'm working on better health , Body , Mind , Soul , & Spirit! 🕊🙏🕯 Thank You for The Enlightening Message! ❤️
thank you. Lifting up the heart, I equate with being joyful, and being unhappy is clearly not good. A cold beer with friends after exercise on a hot day is something I look forward to. If I examine this, I guess I could drink water, but its not the same. Would it be ok to have simple pleasures for their own sake - taken in moderation of course
My wife’s mother recently stated to her that our family never likes to have fun. My wife and I are always participating in church activities. So are both of our adult children. On the other hand, my brother in law, sister in law’s and their children are always enjoying themselves. They go to concerts, go out drinking, sit around gossiping about others, going on fun vacations to real exciting places like Las Vegas and they never bother wasting their time by entering the four confining walls of a church. What a shame. They have no idea what they are missing. My family and I have never been happier.
Live by making Christ's Commandment of Love as your Rule of Life by which you make all decisions concerning all decisions. and pray for Mary, Hi Mother's love, protection, guidance and inspiration and for her intercession. This is the easiest way to live with and for Christ.
A person can have the Path Strewn with Rocks also, apparently without offending God, with St. Faustina in life with Jesus in the Divine Mercy Spirituality with St. Faustina and with Jesus in general in any valid spirituality in the Church
I'm not so sure about that. When we have "fun" without limits we might harm ourselves in the end. Eg. when you drink alcohol without temperance you end up throwing up and/or with a hangover. Limiting fun might actually be equivalent to maximizing fun.
@vbiosfera have fun with a purpose like creating a mental image of this does that, that causes this; yea gods trash, that does this as well... Wait, religion makes shit up? Anyway, oh that's how that works 🤣
I needed to hear all of this. Very well timed, thank God. It reminds me of something I heard on the Abiding Together Podcast, in their episode on leisure & play. I found it here: ruclips.net/video/a2prAIKSKro/видео.html

Of course! A cold beer doesn't hurt!

There are different ways to have fun and be happy!
That's the effect of reading the right books: becoming wise like an old (even some hundreds of years old) wise man, while being a young woman.
That's really sweet of you 🤗

I know; but it's wayy more fun if nothing is off limits.
