- Hey folks. We've brought up all the blueberries & most of our gingers to the farm this week. Now they're here we need to protect them from the wallabies, hares & chooks.🐔🐰🦘
Next week we'll have an update on the new chooks & "Fort Chookington".
Hope you all have a fantastic week.

Cheers all & have a top one. 🐟 🌱🍅
Yeah, Fort Chookington is definitely a keeper. 😂 Depending on the thickness of the rind and zest, you can take the zest off in strips with a veggie peeler, dry them in the oven, blitz them, have lime zest for seasoning. Does honestly work better with lemons, but is doable with some limes too.
Kira zests & freezes them for her baking stash. Might try the drying method with them here & see how we go. Thanks CR.
Fort Chuckington. I love the name.
😁I have ask B to make up a sign for it. 😆
Cheers William.
That's a mighty fine hobo caravan there!
Thanks TWP. Few sheets of tin on top & it would be water tight. 😉
The new hens a really pretty! Be safe on all that driving!
I have another trip down later this week to get some more from the house. That should be it for a moth or two hopefully.
Cheers Jennifer.
All looking good
Cheers Kerry. 👍
Hoocho buckets look grate definitely on my wish list .i am thinking make a grate duel route zone system .
cheers for the show Rob Bianca and Jack
Thanks Des. That's how I'm thinking of using them eventually. For now we'll set them up as a wicking system I think. Need to pick up a couple of float valves first to keep the water level constant.
I like Jack's photo bombing your vids🤣 Good job guys keep going😁
😆 He just never stops Anna. Must say though, once the sun goes down these days we hardly hear a peep from him. 😉
@@RobsAquaponics That's one content pooch!😆
Nice idea with using the ply on the trailer. We got gifted a lemonade tree just before we moved south so that ended up on the back of the ute for 3 days lol it made a full recovery
😆 These stayed in the trailer for 3 days & only got a little burning on the leaves that touched the tin. I think it was from the afternoon sun warming it up.
Looks like you are getting quite a bit done. The chicken wire looks to be good protection as long as nothing digs under it. G'day Rob 😁
Hey Garry. I think we'll be fine in that respect with the garden. Did see another fox after the wallabies last night so we have had a major rethink on the chook yard now. I think I'll need to sink some mesh 500mm 19-20" deep to stop them from digging in.
@@RobsAquaponics Fox are very sly about getting into the chicken coop. Good Luck 👍
I found those large yellow/orange spiked leaf bromeliads in pots can act as an excellent barrier as well.
I guess they hate the little spikes scratching their noses.
B has been watching a few videos on pleaching & hedges of late thinks that she'd like to have a crack ate some as fences.
Not sure they would grow fast enough be ready in time for the main gardens though.
Ohhh juice the limes, into ice cube trays, bag up MARGERITAS my friend!!
🤣I had a lime ice cube in with my celebratory Jack, that was tasty.
A pardalop is the name of the lil bird, noisy buggers for their size.
Very friendly too. That one I videoed was about 50cm from us out the window & wasn't phased at all.
👍🤙
😁👍
👍
😁😁👍👍
Don’t forget to hit that like 👍I do sometimes 😂
Cheers mate. 👍
Like😊
Thanks 😁👍
Do you think making turmeric powder is something you can sell?
Possibly looking at growing rare turmeric's & gingers to start off with to sell as live plants.
Dingoes! Not wild dogs!
These ones look like Alsatians (I'd say from the same litter) & the neighbour has seen another that looks like a shaggy Dreat Dane. They're not dingoes. ;)
We have seen a few "dingo" looking dogs though, just not recently.
@RobsAquaponics latest scientific studies say they are! Was only released a few months back and there is now a motion to federal government to stop the culling!
🐔🐰🦘
😆 & 🐐 proof.
HOOCH BUCKET REFERENCE!!!! 🔊🔊🔊💧💧💧🪣🪣🪣
😁 Hope to have a rough system up & running by next week.
