Talk about a huge win. An old WIP finally finds its destiny. It's so serendipitous that you waited and now it has a perfect use to brighten up your workspace. I love it
Oh my goodness!!! That pillow is now to die for!!!! Sooooo beautiful and when anyone walks in that room that will be the eye catcher where people say, “Oooooo!!!!”
Many years ago I had found a yarn much in the color way you are showing in this video. I don’t remember the brand or the store I bought it at (I do know the store chain went defunct many years ago). I did however pair it with soft white from red heart and made my son an afghan out of it. I used 2 strands together (1 of each) and the result was stunning, it took it from bright to a beautiful pastel. Ever since then I have been hooked crocheting with 2 strands, you get many beautiful combos.
Personally I would leave it with the blanket and do a large motif on each end. I think it looks splendid as it is now, really shows off the yarn you used. It will be easy to remove it for washing. 🧶💕🥳
Using that blanket was brilliant and it looks amazing! Love watching your mind work and come up with these ideas. I'm making some scrap baskets at the moment.
I would totally do what you did because I love serendipity! Good use of the blanket. And the circles or mandalas for the “end caps” will look great! I was using up some yarn making granny squares while watching this video. Bye! ❤
I watch after the live is over. But on the blanket I thought an edging on each end with button closures so it can be switched out or laundered easier. I think the blanket idea was a stroke of genius.
That worked out so well! You’re going to be so motivated to do the circles for the ends now. The mandala is great for that but now that you have all those gorgeous stripes I’m wondering about lambkin or the sparkle grass looking one for textured ends. 🤷🏻♀️🧶💜😍
Awesome idea using the blanket as a cover instead! I think I'd be lazy & leave the ends white as that looks great as it is!! It's fantastic watching the light bulb moment of using the blanket! I love it when those moments happen to use something that's been sitting around & turning it into something useful! Win win! Enjoy! 🥰Blessings from South Australia💕🐨
Oh my goodness, that blanket looks perfect on your bolster pillow! Great idea! I do love the little circles too, so pretty. I’m finishing the border on my granddaughters blanket and making dishcloths when I need a break from that. Lol. 🧶💜🙏🏻
I probably wouldn't have thought about using a blanket. That's why I watch yall on RUclips 😂😂😂😂 I'm working on a beaded weighted blanket, with glow in the dark beads. 😊
This will be lovely Christa! Center pull yarns are the bane of my existence! Always a problem. I bought 4 yarn butlers and they still jam up even pulling from the side. But after watching you today I’m going to cake them first and see if that helps. Thanks for a great idea!😊
Very clever! 😁 I'm really loving these little work together sessions! So fun! I'm making tiny coffee beans for my sister to use in one of her classes. 🤷🏽♀️ Have a good one!
Well I’m sad you say it’s going to take so long. I’m not as fast as you for sure! I have several different colorways of 4wt of Wool Tweed. I want to make a bed runner and thought that I might use Starburst Squares. I had thought about using one of your runner patters but I’m not quite sure how to convert down to a different wt. you’re first one is using double strands of large wt scraps. I love it, I just don’t know how to convert. 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
It's 99*F here today (37.2*C). What's it hitting there today? Love the colors in this project. I'm doing a Tunisian Ten-Stitch baby blanket using white, yellow, aqua, baby blue, pink, and a variegated yarn of all of that. :) Slow going, but it is what I'm working on right now. :)
I’m new to your channel. And this is the first that came up. Where does someone get a pillow like that? I love it and what you are doing to make it pretty. Gonna get me one of those yarn holders. And that yarn is so beautiful!
As yu were starting to pull the ends of the blanket together, I was yelling, "Get some stitch markers! Stitch markers, Christa. I know you've got some!" Apparently you heard me.
So yarn holders are good for cakes that we still have to painstakingly wind / unravel from a skein, correct? I was wondering how that worked :) How the. manual labour was eliminated (it's not). Also, I don't see a link to the double dark brown yarn holder, just the metal yarn ball winder.
Hi, @rozcoreyclark!! Yes - it depends on the ball of yarn, to be honest. I show you how to tell in this video: ruclips.net/video/9ZFY4vPBGfk/видео.html For me it is an investment for hours of uninterrupted crocheting... not so much a time saver, but a pleasure maker! LOL Thank you! 🌻🌺🌼
Hi. I’m from Adelaide where the Somerton man was found. His body was recently exhumed and because of DNA testing with a family member it was discovered that he was Charles Webb, an electrical engineer from Melbourne. It is still not known how he died. Also is that blanket just the V stitch?
HINT: I use a felt self stick tab on my cake stands to stop the banging. It seems to be working. BUT, I was thinking a tab of hot glue may work also. lol
@@SecretYarnery Your welcome. I have another tip. I just went on Temu and bought all wooden rods, coasters and some upholstery nails. They have plain or walnut. I am going to make a bunch of the yarn holders for the stand.. It should work, right?
Okay guys, it WORKS! even better than I expected. Hubby & I spent a few minutes today cutting the rods and screwing the coaster onto the rod. So easy! Just be sure you don't choose heavy material. The upholstery nails work wonderfully.
