    Deontay “The Bronze Bomber” Wilder and Tyson “The Gypsy King” Fury fought to a split-decision draw in their epic SHOWTIME PPV title fight on December 1, 2018 in front of almost 20,000 fans at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles.
    Fury (27-0-1, 19 KOs) miraculously overcame two knockdowns by Wilder (40-0-1, 39 KOs) - including an explosive one in the final round - in the improbable draw, which was the first heavyweight title pay-per-view bout in America since 2002. The judges scored the bout 115-111 for Wilder, 114-112 for Fury and 113-113.
    “I think with the two knockdowns I definitely won the fight,” said Wilder, who has recorded a knockdown in each of his 41 pro fights and was defending his WBC belt for the eighth time since 2015. “We poured our hearts out tonight. We’re both warriors, but with those two drops I think I won the fight.”

    How the hell can anyone even pretend this is a draw after Fury hit the canvas twice like that? He may have won two or three rounds at most, but Wilder easily won AT LEAST one other round in addition to the two rounds where he scored the knockdowns. Wilder so clearly won this fight. @@ethan76708 That's completely delusional. Most of those other rounds were dead even with Wilder winning AT LEAST one or two rounds besides the 9th and 12th. Being as generous as possible, you could maybe give Fury 3 or 4 rounds at most. The rest were even, and several more of them could have easily gone to Wilder. Fury did NOT win 9 rounds in this fight. That's just ridiculous

    • @logan3186
      @logan3186 2 месяца назад +2

      @@ethan76708 No, they didn't. I rewatched the fight about 5 times and was as generous as possible to Fury. I was even biased as I could toward him and gave him rounds that were pretty even that I was on the fence about. Being overly generous, I gave him rounds 6, 7, 8, and 10. And at least one of those rounds was dead even, but I gave it to Fury anyway. It is utterly delusional to claim he won 9 rounds. There were even rounds. And there were absolutely no rounds where Wilder didn't land. He was only "outboxed" clearly in maybe one or two rounds. This "outboxed" nonsense is getting ridiculous. You don't "outbox" your opponent just because he threw more punches. You "outbox" your opponent when you land more significant punches. He didn't make Wilder look less talented in any stretch of the imagination. Wilder still landed, while Fury was just playing defense and not doing much of his own in most rounds. I'll give 4 rounds to Fury. That's the absolute best I can do. People need to accept that there are even rounds in boxing, but Fury fanboys gave every single even round to Fury and stole every round from Wilder except the two knockdowns. It's BS

Great moment, and super dramatic when Rocky gets knocked the fuck out, but then miraculously gets back up to the complete shock of Apollo Creed. But come on, that would never happen in a real fight. Round 1: 10-9 Fury
    Round 2: 10-9 Fury
    Round 3: 10-9 Fury
    Round 4: 10-9 Fury ( The double-triple jabs are killing wilder, and he was on the backfoot a good amount of time from the jabs alone.)
    Round 5: 10-9 Wilder(Great jabs to the body by Wilder, nothing special but Fury landed all glove in that roujd except for maybe 1 jab)
    Round 6: 10-9 Fury(He landed 2 flurries and landed the jab very well, Wilders only good moment was in the last 30 seconds of the round.)
    Round 7: 10-9 Fury(Furys best round, 3 huge straight right hands from the 1-2 combo. Wilder had 1 good body shot and that was about it. Wilder was visibly frustrated after the 2nd 1-2 that landed and started rushing his shots)
    Round 8: 10-9 Fury (Fury landed 2 big 1-2 combos. Neither fighter did much so it has to go to Fury)
    Round 9: 10-8 Wilder (Fury almost did enough to make it a 9-9, but Wilder managed keep it 10-8. Although those shots that dropped Fury were all behind the head.)
    Round 10: 10-9 Fury(Great feint-jabs from Fury, 3 huge right hands from the 1-2 combo, and a great double right hand to the body and then the head at the last 5 seconds of the round)
    Round 11: idk man, neither guy did enough lol. Call it a 10-10?

      Tyson’s defense was Mike Tyson like. He ducked and dodged and I saw a little Money Mayweather in his defense too. His slappy backhand jabs are brutal and how he switches to south paw to throw left hooks. Tyson Fury looked good in this fight. He didn’t show it when he was hurt or tired. He threw lots of feints. I haven’t seen that many feints in a fight. He has heart. Both fighters conserved their energy until the 9th and then they both were constantly losing and gaining their breath. Using every second and third wind as an opportunity to strike their opponents. But Tyson looked like the better defensive fighter while Deandre Wilder was like an airbag waiting to deploy. He has knockout power just waiting for an opening. I like the respect Wilder showed at the end after Tyson taunted him in the ring sticking his tongue out.
