First round Tyson of old moving his head from side to side and getting inside. Second round on Tyson became a sitting target. What made Tyson so good in his early days was his incredible quick movement. When that went he became just another heavyweight susceptible to big uppercuts.

Yes but mike tyson was doing that against the likes of McNealy 😂 & low calibre fighters Lewis different animal the only reason mike was able to do that for that first round was because it's a feel out round first round always is when Lewis came out second round & kept popping that long jab that he has to he's advantage mike could not get on the inside or fight on the outside because of the long jab

I saw a video where Stacey Mckinley a member of Tyson's training team said that he did not want Tyson taking this fight because he wasn't ready and not in good enough shape, but he was overruled because there was so much money involved and i suppose because they were both getting older. But Mckinley was right, Tyson was never really in this fight

The Greatest Heavyweight bout of all boxing history, and LL is the most complete heavyweight boxer of all time. No man’s getting past big Len’s jab.
After what MT did to Holyfield and biting big Len’s knee, I wanted big Len to hurt MT badly and throw in some illegal blows in the bargain. But to big Len’s credit, he kept his cool the entire fight and did it with the style of a true gentleman, and the spirit of a warrior on top of the world.
That’s one of the reasons he’s the most complete HW boxer ever, he always kept his cool, was 100% professional, outclassed every opponent he ever faced, overcame adversities, set backs and challenges against the odds. And he made the right business minded decisions at the right times. He denied MT a rematch, to not let him get a handout. Big Len proved his status at the top of HW boxing history and didn’t need to get back into the ring with an animal like MT. He could retire and make more than enough money from his legacy and business investments.
His success as only 1 of 3 undisputed HWs of all time, seals his crown. But everything else about him, is what makes him the most complete HW ever.
He’s a wise, gracious and honourable human being, not naturally the most talented boxer who ever put on gloves. But as he said himself, “I’m like a fine wine that matured slowly and gets better with age.”
He crafted his skills and forged his career, as perfectly as anyone could and has done. He honed his jab to be the best jab in history and he always fought as perfect a game plan in every fight as there could be. With a couple of blips that’s only human and to me made him an even better fighter, bc he could never afford to take it easy, he always had to train relentlessly and cane back stronger each time.
That’s the test of a true warrior. “It’s not how much you can give, or how hard you can hit your opponent that’s most important. It’s how much you can take and keep moving forwards.” Rocky.
The only fighters who are on Big Len’s level are Ali, Marciano and Usyk. Who’s yet to defend his crown as of today. If he does beat Fury again, he’ll be equal to Big Len as a complete boxer. As he’s also the undisputed cruiser champ. Big Len fought against the greats of the greatest era in boxing. So he’s still the most complete HW, even if Usyk beats Fury again, which personally I doubt highly. For reasons that I won’t divulge atm.
If Usyk beats Fury and then defends his crown again once more, then he’ll be the most complete HW ever, just a thin slither above Big Len. But if they ever fought each other even now, let alone 20 years ago. We all know that Big Len would easily destroy Usyk.

I stand to differ with many, what i see here is a nasty fight where the other fighter is allowed to hold, lean and jump over the shorter fighter. That's against the rules of boxing match. Tyson got tired because Lewis mount his heavier body over him.
Look at Holmes vs Mercer, Holmes vs McCall, Tyson vs Tills, Lewis vs Mercer there were no such holding, leaning and jumping over other fighter. Lewis also did this to Holyfield2, he pushed and grabbed.

Tyson wasn’t mentally and physically ready. Tyson tried hard the 1st round but Lewis hugged and laid on Tyson until Mike gave up. Not to mentioned all the underhanded tactics Lewis used for the rest of the fight. Mike wasn’t mentally there anymore and was just waiting for the fight to be over.

@Billyjo44 Considering Lewis was a year older than Tyson in this fight at 36 almost 37 short by 3 months and Tyson was 35, I don't think that's so easy to say. If Tyson was in his Prime, Lewis also would of been in his Prime. Lewis has a massive reach on Tyson and he's also 7 to 8 inches taller and out weighs him by 15 to 20 lbs. That tells the story right there. Tyson couldn't get near him, for Lewis it was like swatting flys with a bat, his arms are so long... ( & I'm a Big Tyson fan ) but it is what it is...

I used to think due to the fact he got inside on lewis so easily in this fight and just didnt work when he did, a prime tyson would easily beat lewis, but tbh tyson was never a good inside fighter, and probably prime tyson vs lewis is just as likely to go the way of buster douglas and tyson. but could go either way, i just dont have much faith in tyson's heart even in his prime

Mike wouldn't even get in the ring with Lewis during the 90's. it's well documented he ducked and dodged lewis for several years, was stripped of his wbc belt for refusing to fight his mandatory challener (Lewis) even paid Lewis 4 million dollars to avoid him. He was asked by a reporter if he would've beaten lewis in his prime, he replied ''I could never of beaten this guy, too big and too strong, he's a masterful boxer''... Humble??.. yes.. but also true. Hence why he avoided lewis for so long before finally accepting his one-sided beating.
