*spoilery comment for those who haven't watched the series through* Across the series, Walt disturbingly takes on the traits of those he kills. From how he cuts crusts off sandwiches with Krazy-8 to how he assumes a poised position while vomiting like Gus did, he eventually rolls a barrel across the desert in Ozymandias after Hank is shot... a detail planted in the series with this scene
It's fun rewatching both Breaking Bad & Better Call Saul, but trying to see the series through the point of view of Gus or Hank. Gus spent decades building up the perfect meth empire that was ruined in a little over a year by Walt who got him killed, & Hank worked his way up the DEA trying to bring down a meth empire that ended up being ran by his brother in law Walt who also got him killed.

While yes, the heist was a bit clumsy, Hank is still overlooking the fact that they didn't leave sufficient evidence for them to be traced. He was never able to connect this to Walt fully
