I still dig it. I worry about accuracy even less than I used to. I respect its boldness.
You know, I really think it's a minor thing that nobody would fault you for ,but I still cannot describe to you just how glad I am to see someone so willing to better themselves that something as minor as that one comment from years ago can bug them to such an extent. But seriously, Yah. Looking back on it, It certainly does have its charm, but it is what would happen if a Baryonyx was on major steroids. I'm just glad we now have the 2021 Safari Baryonyx.
The new Safari Bary is a massive upgrade! I have it sitting next to me right now- coming up for review soon!
I know its far from accurate, but I love this figure for some reason
God, it's crazy how much time has flown by. Our voices have really changed a lot in the span of four years! Great review! I loved the part when you reacted to your old self. It's always fun to look back our past selves and cringe.
This baryonyx really looks monstrous

Jokes aside this is an...interesting release from Papo. I have always thought the details looked underwhelming with the sculpt. I like the head as a sort of fantasy theropod thing but the rest of the figure is rather bland and boring. I do like it from the angle at 7:36 IMO. But I prefer figures that look good from multiple angles and not just one.
As for reviews of figures to revisit?
Maybe the Mini Trike review from Schleich. Definitely the Safari Ltd. Megalodon, I imagine your thoughts have changed on that one. Maybe for good old times sake, maybe the Safari ltd. Yutyrannus.

Great idea on the Megalodon, unfortunately I don't have that one anymore! I could still just react to the old video though
honestly, i personally love this figure, as it works as a stylized bary, but not as an actual Baryonyx. but yeah i just love how photogenic it is and the intimidation factor of it's large gaping jaws.

I saw this figure 2.5 years ago after my trip to Los Angeles in a place called Dinosaur Farm and it looks a bit weird, I can forgive the claws and the details.
I remember when you first got the figure. That was a long time ago now.

It's soooo bad. Papo spoil very detailed sculpts with horrible poses and inaccuracies. There's only a couple of their figures that are what I'd call good (or ok).
Personally I have never been interested in picking up this figure, it just doesn't look realistic at all
