Awesome lookig thing looks like something you would see in skull island
Acrocanthosaurus is my favorite dinosaur (right next to yutyrannus) and they did a good job, other than the fact the skull looks a little shrink wrapped they did a amazing job, it looks like a real animal
I’m probably going to update my version to the newest colour variation. It’s just more pleasing to the eyes
I almost want to sell the old one I have and get the newer one. I love the realistic colorization!

Brilliant from Papo, odd that they chose to repaint this one since it only came out this year, but I would much rather pick this one up than the other.

Definitely prefer the original more. Doesn't look cartoonish to me at all...but perspectives vary of course. It just stands out on the shelf _way_ more than the new one. The stripe patterning is just not what I think of with dinosaurs. However, the vibrant colour scheme on the original, I could totally see (for a male). So I'd say 1st is a male, 2nd is female. But not saying I don't like the new one; I do, just not quite as much.

The stripes are probably inspired by some sort of fish.
One acro could be male (bright colours) and the new could be female. Depending on species males are generally more colourful.
Now that actually looks beautiful...

Just ordered this one, the 2017 colors one and several other Papo figures.
Should've had the rebor acro to stand side by side to see which of the two looks better now compared to the rainbow
The new paint job looks amazing! Too bad I just recently bought the old version (which I love a lot) so I probably have to wait a while until I can buy this one as well. But good job on showing it off, your videos are really helpful.
Acrocanthosaurus is my second favorite dinosaur behind Utah Raptor and this looks pretty awesome

Why did I get the 2017 version? Why did Papo have to do this to me?
For whatever reason, the paint job on the newer one looks to be applied so much better than the previous version. The sculpted detail just pops a lot more than the ugly purple one.

The older coloration could be a young male acro and the newer being an older female.
But the sail isn’t that big

I think it's easy to assume something like that, but Tigers tend to have much more vertical stripes...I think its based on something like a discus fish
It really doesn't look like a tiger at all. It's definitely more fish like. To me it's a lot like a luna lionfish.
