I know they were complained about my uncle lives right off Alhambra and the neighbors complained so much they had to be talked to and calmed down by production for noise disruption🤣🤣
I wished the beach 🏖 looked like in the movie. It’s always dirty 😑 I grew up going to the boardwalk every weekend n it was clean before, people are so careless now a days.
@@StanleyFoss thank you for writing me back. And like I said I am going there next weekend. And you Ben most helpful to tell me where to look. And also while I'm going down there is I did most of the lost boys filming location all ready . But next time I'm going to grandpa house.
I live about an hour from Santa Cruz but I get out there a lot and I gotta say it was pretty weird seeing all these locations that I've casually been at
Awww, I wish the mirror maze was real! Dammit now we can't re-enact the movie lol. I guess the closest would be the new "Fright Walk Under the Boardwalk"... which could make things a bit more spooky after all 😅
Santa Cruz born and raised...HOW DID I NOT HEAR ABOUT THIS MOVIE??? Well, I have heard about it now....getting my popcorn, M & M's, and Root Beer READY!!!!!! This is gonna be fun! THANKS for the video!
It’s kinda sad and already impressive how they make the beach look so much more “attractive” on camera. In real life, the sand is just all wet and flat looking and on camera, it’s more full with lots of foot prints.
I wish I would've known they were filming there at the time. I live 40 mins away from Santa Cruz . Love going to the boardwalk since I was a kid. Can't wait to see "Us" tonight!
My first job was at the boardwalk. I was 13! And the Earthquake ended that season early. I also had my prom there. Now my mom lives by the harbor beyond. Lots of memories. Glad to have been raised in Santa Cruz. I am a very lucky girl to have such a beautiful city to call my hometown.
@@thepalehale8724I am so old that when i went to high school there was not a hs in Scotts Valley yet but i went to vine hill and scotts valley jr. high (last year before it went to a middle school). I went to high school at Soquel.
@@bluepearlgirl-emelie Yeah compared to the middle school, scotts valley high is very new. But the middle school just got a super beautiful remodel!! I'm currently in scotts valley and have lived here most of my life.
Great video, Stanley! It was exactly what I was looking for so thanks so much for your enthusiasm and attention to detail. I moved here to Santa Cruz from L.A. in 1987. When I saw "The Lost Boys" in Westwood I said, "Santa Carla (Santa Cruz, LOL!) is the place for me!" I love it here. I live in the Santa Cuz Mountains and when a casting call was announced last fall, I didn't know of Jordan Peele's reputation. I would've loved to be a fly on the wall of that shoot. Maybe he'll film here again - Hitchcock's former vacation home is in Scotts Valley. (I've been there...) and it would be a very cool location, complete with ghosts, I'm sure.
Yes, I hope hey film more movies in Santa Cruz , that would be great. Yes, would have been cool to be an extra in Us or Bumblebee(also filmed at the boardwalk) I’m hoping to check out Hitchcock’s house sometime this year. Thanks for watching!
Great video. I was an extra in the film. I played one of the tethered on the beach wearing a red jumpsuit. My friend played a dead body. It was a fun day!
was a scene for the transformers movie filmed here too? anyway, i know the feeling of being stared at while filming yourself. it feels like people think you're a creep/loaner or something. this happened to me when i visited Video Game High School and Roswell tv show locations. by the way, i live near Santa Cruz
Yes, Bumblebee was filmed at the Boardwalk also, and Henry Cowell park. I made a video of that one also. I still have never seen Roswell, but here good things. Cool you got to check out the locations!
I really love this movie! Thank you very much for showing us what the beach and the neighborhood where this movie was filmed is like. Greetings, I live in the north of the country, I want to know that place soon.
Hey! Can you make an updated video, of the locations, after you watch the movie? I thought that's what this video was over, but it was just over the trailer.
I noticed this video was uploaded in January. I am going to be in Santa Cruz in April, I wonder if the burn marks from the car are still on the street in present day?
Pretty sure the house seen in the trailer is somewhere in the Los Angeles area or Georgia? I’m gonna try and finally see us on Friday 😬😅 Thanks for watching!
The music is by Dyalla Swain. A link to her soundcloud is in the description. I can’t remember which song it is exactly, but she has a lot of good beats!
The burnt car area is near the corner of East Cliff and Alhambra Ave. Hope you find it. I also saw your msg that your going to be in SC soon. I wont be able to join, I no longer live in the area, but I hope you make a video for it and Lost Boys!
Another film shot at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is “Killer Klowns from Outer Space” ruclips.net/video/H09cT6ZdcfA/видео.html Keep these filming location videos coming! Great job Stanley!
I actually work in the boardwalk and I saw when they were filming the movie 🎥 it was great 🤩
Oh cool! Did they film inside the boardwalk also? The trailer only shows on the beach and outside the front of the boardwalk.
Diego’s Life
Did you see the filming of that one scene where there was a line of people holding hands on the beach?
I know they were complained about my uncle lives right off Alhambra and the neighbors complained so much they had to be talked to and calmed down by production for noise disruption🤣🤣
I worked at the boardwalk for a bit lmao. I worked for Whitings
Me too.
I wished the beach 🏖 looked like in the movie. It’s always dirty 😑 I grew up going to the boardwalk every weekend n it was clean before, people are so careless now a days.
That’s what I was thinking? They must have racked all the seaweed and debris to get it so pristine. Wish it always looked that way too!
@@StanleyFoss thank you for writing me back. And like I said I am going there next weekend. And you Ben most helpful to tell me where to look. And also while I'm going down there is I did most of the lost boys filming location all ready . But next time I'm going to grandpa house.
Yeah true. But there are other beaches in SC that have nice looking water once in a while. But the Monterey Bay water isnt the prettiest
Tourist people that don’t give a fuck! And of course drug addicts.
Thanks for the video. Because of The movie “ Us” , I will be visiting Santa Cruz Broadwalk
I live about an hour from Santa Cruz but I get out there a lot and I gotta say it was pretty weird seeing all these locations that I've casually been at
Yeah, really cool for Santa Cruz with Us and Bumblebee filming there :)
cool video that was awesome seeing the street still burned
Yeah, so cool that the burn marks are still visible 🔥
I just saw Us tonight and found your video as I was looking up filming locations. You did a great job on it!
Thanks! Can’t wait to finally see the movie.
Awww, I wish the mirror maze was real! Dammit now we can't re-enact the movie lol. I guess the closest would be the new "Fright Walk Under the Boardwalk"... which could make things a bit more spooky after all 😅
Yeah, would be cool if the mirror maze was really there? Maybe the Boardwalk will add one since the movie is so popular??

Oh yes you will recognize quite a few scenes :)
2:30 😂😂 THIS SCENE IN "GET OUT"...
It’s kinda sad and already impressive how they make the beach look so much more “attractive” on camera. In real life, the sand is just all wet and flat looking and on camera, it’s more full with lots of foot prints.
They must have raked that beach a long time to ale it look pristine. Wish the city would do that.
Actually living in Santa Cruz makes me anxious now 😂😂
Watch out for the vampires from The Lost Boys also! 🧛♂️
I’m already planning my next trip to Santa Cruz for the boardwalk !!!
I wish I would've known they were filming there at the time. I live 40 mins away from Santa Cruz . Love going to the boardwalk since I was a kid. Can't wait to see "Us" tonight!
I think they were only filming for a few days there. I wish I would have gone out there while filming too!
Thanks for that! I was sure Merlin’s Forest wasn’t really there irl, so it’s definitely a plot point, exciting!
Yes will be exciting to see how they use that in the film 🤭
Nice video, Stanley! You were really quick on making this video.
Thanks! I don’t live too far away - which made it easier :)

That’s cool. I get a Alfred Hitchcock The Birds feeling from this movie.

You are correct. Lots of The Lost Boys was filmed at the boardwalk and around Santa Cruz. Thanks for watching!

I haven't seen this film, but now I want to.
I live by the boardwalk! Went there in secret behind the boardwalk & it was super cool
question, does anyone know what the location of the underground scene is called and where it's located?
I noticed this video was uploaded in January. I am going to be in Santa Cruz in April, I wonder if the burn marks from the car are still on the street in present day?
Not sure, but I would imagine that the burn mark is still there? Maybe slightly faded, but probably still there . Hope you get to see it!
Thanks great video .just was expecting the house too location

Your welcome
Weird seeing a bunch of dead people at the place I used to go to at least once a month
Yes very strange! Boardwalk will always look different!
I loved the us movie
Does anyone know the song heard at the end of the video?
The music is by Dyalla Swain. A link to her soundcloud is in the description. I can’t remember which song it is exactly, but she has a lot of good beats!
I live 30 minutes from this location
4:15 bru its east cliff dr (also on the other side of town I recommend a walk on west cliff)
Yeah, I don’t know how I said East Lake???
Good thing I Didn't watch the movie because I might get scared in theaters.
Awesome!!!!👏👏👏
It's East Cliff, not East Lake.
I don’t know how I did that?!? I didn’t notice until after I uploaded the video 😱
Bay Area squaddddd where you attt
Where were all the underground scenes filmed?
I feel terrible saying this, ... but I still haven’t seen Us yet. I’ve been so busy ... I know , I know 😬
I really want to know where the tunnels were filmed at , they were really creepy!!
Dom R-H now I need to really watch it so I know what your taking about! Lol I’m intrigued.

I heard that was in Pasadena, but I’m not sure exactly where.
