Maybe for my next trick I'll try that! And nice you got the same guitar, yea it definitely rocks for the price, could definitely bring it to sessions and it would work just fine.
Thank you Phil, I always think it's important for a musician to be able to get a good sound out of anything, this guitar is definitely easy enough to do so though!
I totally agree with chucksturf. You are a phenomenal guitar player Jake. You could put strings on a metal garbage can cover and make it sound great. Love your videos and the energy you put into your music. Merry Christmas and happy holidays all the best to you
Thanks Alena! A few people have now said I could put strings on something terrible and make it sound good, perhaps I should take on that challenge... It might just sound terrible though. Thank you as always for checking out my videos and the support. Gonna keep this going as long as people are into it! Merry Christmas to you too!
Nice beefy gritty sound! Killing it as usual. Love the arpeggios! Frankly it's a pretty impressive sound from a guitar in this price range. We do however need to keep in mind who's playing it. Lol. :) This video came at the perfect time. I was looking for a guitar-gift in this price range. I just ordered the SRV-looking Glarry GST3 Electric Guitar in Sunset. I was about to canvas all the pawn shops in town. This saved me a ton of time. Thanks Jake! Cheers all!
Thanks again Jim! Yep I'm hoping the one you get will do the job. Let me know what it's like when you get it. I'm glad this video came at the right time. I suppose right before Christmas would be the perfect time to advertise a new guitar!
Awesome and epic playing as always Jake ! I always found Joy watching yours as a rock guy to honky-tonker myself. Have you ever heard of Harley Benton guitars, I've got one of those with super cheap price (around 150 us)and excellent touch, sounds .
Thank you! Yes someone mentioned in the comments of one of my videos about Harley Benton guitars. Never tried one myself but I hear they're pretty good for the price.
Can't beat it for the price! I think I just found my new warm-up jam! Killer tones on everything in that mix too! I'd love to see a slow-down tutorial of those arpeggios & whatever you're doing ~the 1:18 mark!
Thanks man, yea for the price you can't go wrong. Ah yea that sweep lick actually pretty simple (in my mind) it's essential a D sus 2 arpeggio. So 14th fret on G string, 15th fret on B, 12th fret on E then 17th fret on E as well. Then it's just a sweep picking pattern up and down those notes. Hope that at la least gives you a starting point!
Are these better than the Squire series? Looking for a cheap electric to practice with..Granted you make guitars sound better than most of us..I had Les Pauls,SG's,G&L's so I see so many aftermarket copy guitars out there I'm literally swimming in them as far as buying one that will suffice my needs..I just checked out Glarry gguitars..Nice looking and down right cheap..Do I buy a Glarry Start or a Squire Strat or a Harley Bently Tele etc. I can do most of the tweaking but scared to get a new cheapie and the necks F*^cked..Then what...Love your pickin Mr. Faun..As always thanks.
Good question! Squire's are pretty solid for the price, so they're pretty comparible. I've not tried Harley Bently but I hear good things, some people say they're better than Glarry so definitely worth looking into. I always think if you can get your hands on the guitar to try it out in person, that will be the best way to get an idea. If you're just ordering online it can be hard to know until it arrives how good a guitar is as you can have 3 models of the exact same guitar but they might all have slight differences based the wood, how it's put together etc, even if they're 'the same' on paper. Hopefully that helped! With these budget style guitars you can't go too wrong whichever you choose, but as far as Glarry goes, they look great and play just fine. Few tuning issues here and there and the hardware doesn't feel super secure like a higher end guitar, but that's all to be expected.
Thank you for posting this. I legitimately don't need another fiddle... but I've been hankering for a semi-hollow to more or less make into a "Ed Bickert" style jazz tele. I want the semi with the HS set up and may throw a P90 in the neck that I have layin garound. Curious - you think with some nicer tuners and a bone nut this thing could be pro level? I appreciate your expertise and KILLER playing. :)
Glad I posted this, a few people are now curious about these guitars. In my opinion, yes, with some new pickups, perhaps a new bridge/saddles (Callaham or something similar), some new tuning pegs and maybe a decent luthier to put it all together, set it up etc, this would be as good as anything. Could definitely gig or take it to the studio. It plays great as is, it's super light, so I think it would be more than good enough even for a pro.
It does sound really good and it looks like it plays really good? and what brand is that? There's a lot of amazing Lauren guitars today that play and sound fantastic. I got used from an older fella, a little gem about 10 years ago, a fender black strat squier.. maybe one of the first made.. I just customized it a bit and it sounds in place fantastic.. had some very good guitar players play it and say the same thing.
It plays pretty well in my opinion, better than I was expecting. Of course it doesn't feel as good as a high end guitar but I didn't have any problems with playability with it.
They're called Glarry, I hadn't heard of them before but they asked if I could make a video with one of their guitars and in all honesty I'm glad I did. For a guitar under $150 this is pretty damn good. It holds it's tuning pretty well all the way across the neck, is easy to play, sounds good, super light, looks good too. Sometimes entry level guitars look kinda cheap but this actually looks like it's been put together well and plays like it too. I can't comment on the Artist TC 59 as I haven't tried it, but if you're in the market for something around that price range, Glarry seem to be doing a pretty good job!
It's feels pretty good, action is low but not too low, I can bend 2-3 semitones without strings choking out so that's good. Tuning is good, I have guitars that hold tuning better, but for this price it definitely beats many out there. Intonation is good too, I tried playing some chords above the 12th fret as soon as I took it out the box and they're all basically spot on in tune. It's super light as its semi hollow body. So overall if someone asked for guitar recommendations under $500, you can't go wrong with one of these, and this guitar is $120 I think.
Haha yea it definitely could be longer. Wanted to get this one out quickly though, just to give a taste of this guitar. Perhaps a full length version will come out somw day...
You could make a stick attached to a can w/strings sound good! Bought the exact same guitar. Set it up and it rocks for a $125!
Maybe for my next trick I'll try that! And nice you got the same guitar, yea it definitely rocks for the price, could definitely bring it to sessions and it would work just fine.
Shexxxxy playing as always, not disappointed! Merry Christmas dude 👍🏼
I'm glad I'm not a disappointment! Great success! Merry Christmas to you too.
excellent playing and improvising!
Thank you empire entertainment!
Nice geeetar! Great organ sound!! Killer solooo!! 🙌🏼
Thanks Nilliam! Yea that's my trusty pro tools db 33 organ plugin.
That oughta make anyone a believer. Nice!!!
Thanks dude!
You can make anything sound great Jake! Amazing stuff as always!
Thank you Phil, I always think it's important for a musician to be able to get a good sound out of anything, this guitar is definitely easy enough to do so though!
You could make a string tied to a 2x4 and wash tub sound good Jake . 🤘
Perhaps that should be my next video?
You can make any guitar sound great! Happy New Year👍
Thanks Uncle Dan! Happy new year to you too.

Yeahhhhhhhhhh que bárbaro eres bro , tocas muy bien ,. Te felicito hermano
Gracias hombre, eso significa mucho!
If the guitarist is good, the sound will be good:) I want a Glarry! haha
That is true, a good musician should be able to get a decent sound from any piece of gear. Glarry guitars are definitely not bad though!
Warning ⚠️ He has you tube channel if you start watching you can't stop really great picker.. Jake Faun
This is true.
Jake you could make a broom stick with strings sound great , you are one of my favorite players !!
Thanks Mark! Could be a fun experiment, broomstick shred...

@@JakeFaun Thank you. I've been going back and forth about grabbing one for about a year and it's nice to see some real players demoing these. Peace.

What is it?? I've been looking at the Artist TC 59... you might have changed by mind bud!

Just got one for $15. Shipping was$26, with tax, just under $45.
Not a bad deal!
Being Jake Faun has something to do with it.
Ah man you're too kind!
Too short. Still nice.
Haha yea it definitely could be longer. Wanted to get this one out quickly though, just to give a taste of this guitar. Perhaps a full length version will come out somw day...
