Animas Forks to Ouray, Colorado

This video was filmed in the San Juan Mountains of Southwest Colorado near Silverton and Ouray. It starts at the ghost town of Animas Forks, through California Gulch, over Hurricane Pass and down Corkscrew Gulch, passing the back of Red Mountain. Although the trails are not that difficult, the scenery is some of the most specular in Colorado.

Heh, heh. Boy I tell ya I lived in the Rockies, mostly the northern ones for like ten years. Right before moving back east I fulfilled a long standing desire to visit the San Juan range and got to say I did not want to leave. Man oh man, remember now how it took a stern talking to from my spouse at the time to make the break. What a stunning range, there's just something really special about the San Juan's. Huh.
