rest in peace Vic, i met vic and got a photograph with him during this event in carmel calif back in 2012, its hanging on my garage wall, i see it everyday while i build my dream cars
I watched the1969 Trans-Am race held in Mont-Tremblant, Quebec. George Follmer #16 took the pole at 1:48.0 which was very fast. Early in the race it was Mustang first and second (1-Parnelli Jones 2- George Follmer). Then one the Mustang lost all its oil, created a big crash with many cars, three of them were Mustangs (including Peter Revson's blue #1).
If this car had raced on the Goodyear Tires it now wears back in '69....Panelli Jones would've been a 2-time Trans-Am champion. Their Firestone tires being SHIT singlehandedly cost them the title in 1969.
Boring answers, let me show you how it’s done. Track car - Kar Kraft/Bud Moore 1969 Boss 302 originally driven by Parnelli Jones, Daily Driver - Bullet proof AMG G-Wagon or Toyota Hilux with a rocket launcher(it’s rough out there), Show car - the #7 Ferrari 250 GTO.

Holy crap. Vid Edelbrock!
Besides drag racing ,I loved watching the Trans Am cars.
My favorite race paint scheme on a mustang!
I have family pictures of those cars ( and more....) at Sears Point in my personal collection. I grew up in Novato & my dad raced SCCA 1968-1978
BUDD KNEW HOW TO PORT THE EXHAUST PORTS ON THE BOSS CLEVELAND HEADS TO GET THE MOST POWER OUT .
Didn't have to go far. Those Boss Cleveland heads were it's advantage over everyone else. Nothing made power like the Boss 302 in Trans-Am.

Revson's would've been a Carroll Shelby entry. My favorite Trans-Am car of all time. Just looked so good in Shelby Racing Blue
Awesome!!
Great Preservation - History ...
I bet it does matter!!

at 00:38 he says it was black with white speckels in the paint. what was the purpose of that?
+sparkymike83 Like he said, to hide the welds (made to stiffen up the chassis).
+sparkymike83 to make it hard to see the weld lines where they sectioned the body to angle the front fenders down.
+FIXR7 although it looks like that one isn't angled too much? I remember the moffat one was more noticebly angled.
im sure it had a Holley on it !!
If course it did. But the Holley is just a carbon copy of the Motorcraft 4-brl carburator only way better internally.
