Keane (Tom Chaplin) is a good rabbit hole to go down as the group and he himself have some wonderful songs. He's one of the most talented male vocalists singing right now (to my ear). Bedshaped, Bend and Break, Everything is Changing, Wonderful River-(Live at Tom's studio)...I'm not getting close to naming all his wonderful songs. Glad you are giving him a listen. :)
One of my favorite songs ever, reminds me when I was 17 and I played the drum ❤️ wish I could go back in time and listen to this song for the very first time.
Thank You for reacting to this! Keene their hit songs are so underrated it’s criminal. These songs evoke such deep nostalgic feelings. I wish somebody would write beautiful melodic songs like this now.
Beth, you've always been outstanding at describing vocal techniques. Watching your reactions has helped my own singing. Your detailed reviews help me be more critical when I'm listening back to myself. Thanks for inspiring me to keep practicing and improving.
Loved your breakdown of Tom Chaplin's voice! It’s incredible how you highlight the nuances in his control, especially in those high notes. That subtle shift between breathy and full voice really makes a difference! 🎶
Amazing what details you hear and mention 👏🏻👏🏻. After that I also hear it 😮 Keane is amazing, love their album „Hopes and Fears“ and the son Bedshaped is just outstanding ❤
This is my favorite band of all time. I can't even say how many times I've listened to their songs or the different emotions they've made me feel. I used to sing their songs to my kids (my triplets, who are about to turn three) while putting them to sleep. Sometimes I still do. Thank you! ❤ PS: I love their B-sides so, so much.
Talk about timing! I was listening to this just yesterday, after not hearing it for years and I got so many flashbacks. This is probably my all time favorite song I have ever listened to alongside Fleetwood Mac's "Rumours" and Kodaline's "Perfect World" albums for sentimental reason. First album I inherited from my dad and the first album I ever bought for myself.
Honestly, Hopes and Fears has held up so well over the years. It's still a go to favourite of mine. Tom's voice has held up really well too. Perhaps it's something about being called Tom; if Tom Jones is anything to go by :)
I've no doubt heard many of Taylor Swift's songs, but I honestly wouldn't know one from the other or even know it's her, bar for one. It drew me out of my sleep at the end of the movie When the Crawdads sing. That song exposes what is truly an incredible voice. So if you're ever considering and are able to, please consider doing a cover of that, because from what I've heard in this video, you're clearly blessed with a phenomenal voice.
I think if Tom didn’t struggle with various addictions early on, they easily would have been as big as Coldplay, unfortunately too many hiatuses stopped them from ever keeping the momentum
Personally I like your innovative use of diagrams and background information boxes to enhance your presentation. It allows you to continue to talk naturally whilst allowing us to check the meanings of some of your points. This melody and sentiment by Keane is fabulous. Please consider investigating Susanne Sundfor. A singer-songwriter, instrumentalist and producer she has a wonderful voice and technique. She is one of the triumverate of contemporary Scandinavian performers along with Bjork and Aurora. Her albums '10 Love songs' and 'Music for People in Trouble' are outstanding and have a depth to them (the former being more 'commercial'). She uses folk, pop, jazz and classical stylings. I don't think you will be blocked, as others have analysed some of her songs on YT - however you will bring more expertise to the subject. I suggest you start with the single, 'White Foxes' and you will be hooked! 😊

Mi güerita linda ❤
Finally! Tom's singing is undiminished after all these years too. Still in the original key.
OMG FINALLY I asked so many times about Keane 😅
I discovered this and have been waiting for a reaction from a vocal coach/opera singer for two years.

Bedshaped ❤
I've just got back to the UK from a trip to Nashville, where I saw Keane play at the historic Ryman Auditorium. Great gig in a special venue!

This is lovely! Thank you and keep singing :)
Listen to Tom Chaplin singing "It's a Hard Life" with Queen. He is incredible.

I recently rediscovered this song, I had forgotten about it. This performance is GORGEOUS! Thank you for sharing this. ❤
This song is pure tranquility.
His voice are truly amazing..❤😊 pure talent.
Love you Beth!
What a wonderful breakdown of an exquisite song. Beautifully done Beth. 👏👏
Thanks Darren!
You make me appreciate music in a different, deeper way. I love your videos.
Keane became popular over time here in the states...this is their most famous song I suspect..and it really is a beautiful song.
I love this song and it's one of my favorites to sing ❤

Love Tom’s singing…. He’s got some great covers on RUclips….specifically “The Downtown Lights” and “It’s A Hard Life” with Queen
I saw Keane perform this song at a bookstore, when the album was first released. It sounds just as good, today.
Keane state that Aha are one of their biggest influences, it would be great if you react to some of their songs...
Hopes and Fears is my favorite album of the early 2000s.
Muy tierna la canción la voz muy adaptable a la música 🎵 hermosa al igual que mi sirena ❤ bien señorita Beth 👏👏🍀🍀
I love Bedshaped by Keane.

Please react to McFly. I think it would be amazing to analyze Tom's and Danny's voices. They are so different from each other but so complementary.
Great song. The voice with the piano. Enjoyed Lifehouse cover of this song in 2010.
Caramba mocinha, parabéns pelo vídeo e essas imagens anatômicas dos músculos vocais ficaram incríveis! Parabéns 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
From Brazil 🇧🇷
👏👏👏
How does he sound exactly as he did 20 years ago!? Wow!
I was there at the pyramid stage watching Keane, they were amazing
Please make a video about Guilherme de Sá specifically with the song "Deo Vero"

How does he still sound the same??
Lilly Allen butchered one of my favourite songs !! she sung it live on a French tv and was cringe worthy
I have to say I prefer the Lilly Allen version
I love both..distinctive voices..different but both beautiful..
-Cmon now….. rly?
