I’m going to try a variation of the room by placing affirmation pins. Envision your room. Number 5-6 things in the room. Now looking at the first object, pin an affirmation on that object. Move onto the second object, pin another affirmation. So on.
    Example:
    1) mirror
    2) piano
    3) bookcase
    4) microphone
    5) dog
    6) bed
    1) I am confident
    2) I am creative
    3) I am focused
    4) I am outspoken
    5) I am compassionate
    6) I am relaxed
Examples of how I would use this by imaging myself in front of each object/number:
    1) I feel confident about my appearance. 💪🏽
    2) I am creative when making music
    3) I am organized and efficiently work towards my goals
    .
    .
    .
Every time I look at the mirror, I’ll remember the affirmation and the emotion I programmed it. Imagine myself in my best outfit or flexing some muscles.
When I’m stuck on a project, imagine myself back in my room in front of my piano. Allow the creativity flow inside me.
If I have tasks I need to complete for the day. I can place certain tasks in on my bookshelf compartments. Organize them. Knock them out accordingly.
    ex:
    a) walk the dog
    b) update resume
    c) do laundry
    d) unleash the kraken
Add more items. Imagine a different room. So forth.
We can induce certain feelings through memory.

I’m studying to take the CompTIA Security+ certification exam - which I have to pay $330 for- so I really appreciate these tips and techniques how to remember it all. I’ve used some of my own mnemonics to remember 35 port numbers, but the room technique will help me group acronyms and topics together. Thank you David! You’re freaking awesome. I’ve subscribed to your channel and can’t wait to see and learn from your videos.

turn words into images. and memorize them like that. Learn radicals first for japanese then learning the rest of the 2200 common use kanji becomes really easy. And the radicals will help you make crazy images to memorize the kanji. Cat for example is made of the animal, bamboo and rice field radicals. Make a funny image with that and put it into your memory palace and done. Now you know what cat looks like. no do that 2199 more times

If the key to not forgetting a certain part, is making it more creative
then people should know that what kills creativity is when were trying to put things in a box, or hence why, creativity is thinking outside of the box
so just think on what the box is, our subconscious spends too much time trying to get things to fit in a box
If you're having that issue, think on what the box is that you're trying to make things fit into, and then try to make it more creative, and then you'll fix your issue.
remember, a block in creativity is thinking too much in a box, creativity ACTUALLY IS thinking outside the typical box that we make for things to fit into. Not doing that results in being creative

Hi, this is a GREAT video SO helpful 🙏
I write in order to process information, so although this is a comment, it's not really a comment...I'm organising my plan of action in your comments section, I hope you don't mind 😉
I'm doing a Fitness Instructing course, so I need to memorize exercises, which, thanks to you, I will now be able to do by regressing into a childhood state and viewing the exercises as ballet dancing moves rather than weight lifting exercises, which I'm totally not into so I was struggling with it.
The change of perspective was really helpful, thank you 🙏
There are loads of charts to memorize, but I'm good with remembering charts photographically, so that's done ✔️
All I now need to do is memorize the origin/insertion/action of all the muscles in the body, which I'm going to do via the mind palace technique you just explained e.g. I'm going to allocate a muscle to each number, with the specific bones placed at the number, origin on the left, insertion on the right, action in the middle, done by a clown in a silly manner 👍
    I think that's the course done 🤔
    THANK YOU! 🙏
I've been off of college for ages as I've just been diagnosed with MS & I've been learning to walk again, so this is HUGELY HELPFUL as I was on the verge of throwing the towel in!
Seriously, I chose a course in Fitness, to teach pilates/yoga/TaiChi then I got MS...you just can't write this sh*t!
    But...
    YAY!
    We're back on track 😁
    👏👏👏

    • @francisrunzel
      @francisrunzel 5 лет назад +2

      That's a good question, and I know you're asking David, and what came to mind is all his free videos basically cover the most important meta-skills;
      Memory - retention and recall
Which also includes Visualization (which you can use for goal setting, seeing what you want)
Which plays into State Control (necessary in any situation) so that you can use your physiology to shift states, and your powers of visualization to enhance them and wire them deeper into your neurology.
State Control leads into influence and persuasion; which would be the 3 magic questions, or his STEALTH system of covert hypnosis.
I also understand your comment is from 2 years ago, and I share this for you, and other people who have the same question!

just turn words into images. what i tend to do is mix in the meaning of a word with the way it sounds into an image and place it into a palace. Was doing that for japanese and got pretty good results. I then used memrise to practice recalling the words sporadically and out of order from how i memorized them. give it a try

However, I don't understand how to use this to memorize long paragraphs, scripts or large amounts of information. Do you have simple suggestions? Well, I'll keep searching RUclips, but, thank you for sharing your videos. Aloha.

You could memorize each sentence and pair each last word of a sentence to the first word of a sentence. But it would take a while--you'd still retain it for a very long time though.

you are being a man, your thinking about it, trying to analyze it and define its methods, my grandpa would talk to you for a while, no defined length of time, and later ask you about your pain, or a wart that had been bothering you and couldn't get rid of, and wha la it was gone, scribble something on a piece of paper and as long as you always kept it with you and never read it or lost it you would not have a toothache or high blood pressure(? imagine that!) he used to tell me the two things I have based my life on for success; CHALLENGE YOURSELF and redifine your energy and the big secrets will reveal themselves. watch some of davids martial arts stuff, as well as val raizinov systema videos, then study accupressure if you want to analyze how and why it works. You don't have to BELIEVE it, just DO it! KI
