    Yes, this is very accurate. The sad part as a client I can smell the BS from most of the consultants. I appreciate the content of your channel.

    The landscape has started changing, more companies have started hiring their own consultants as part of their project team to do most of the job during the implementation in order to save cost. Great content...thanks

      I think not just saving cost, but also actually getting the stuff done. 20% of a consulting project is getting up to speed, the last 20% setting up follow-up projects... And the knowledge leaves

    If all you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail.
    This confession shouldn't come as a surprise however the scale of the dishonesty that the mystery consultant describes is quite disappointing. Everyone has vested interests and bias should be factored into decisions but the integrity of the consulting firm and the individuals engaged should be assessed before appointing an SI. I think Eric has made this point in other videos, don't outsource a digital transformation in it's entirety. Retain leadership and control and try to remain in a position to be able to fire the SI if you need to.

    I guess that in any business project you must take the seller's/supplier's advice with a grain of salt.
    your best trusted factors are
    1/ third party consultants, QC inspectors or whatever depending on the kind of industry
    2/ your team/personal knowledge and experience
    otherwise you are inevitably heading to a complete disaster
