Hey man, the bit at 11:15 could do with editing. The strobing could be quite bad for anyone with photosensitive epilepsy/seizures. I think the blur effect is contributing somewhat, made quite a strong flashing from my TV that I felt without even looking at it, in broad daylight. Something a lot of people overlook so it's not your fault, but would be a great thing to take care of and avoid in future.
He’s insecure because he knew he had the opportunity to show he was the greatest player ever but never had the work ethic or mentality to actually do it
At the same time we have to stop taking everything so seriously he knows how soft minded people can be hell I’m even like that when it comes to the game but fr bro it’s all talk and they know how to get people to talk more
This season shaq has been way different. He doesnt joke around has horrible takes and just hates on everything. I give him only a couple more years of tv because once barkley quits shaq by himself would be unbearable.
Shaq has always been an insecure bully. I like him a lot, he can be hilarious, but he just has a hole in his heart that he can't seem to fill, and despite achieving so much he feels so small and needs to bring others. It's honestly sad.
He's just mad that he didn't take his career more seriously. He had the chance to be the greatest center of all time but even with all his achievements and championships, his ego got in the way and lost him more chances at winning titles, and staying in shape. I love the dude but u can clearly see that anger inside that he has for ppl who strive to be the best because he has said himself that he didnt go to practice, he would get 2 fouls early so he didnt have to play games that didnt matter, and his weight. As much as i love him and think hes one of if not the best parts of inside the nba, u can clearly tell that hes still bitter that he didnt accomplish more as a player. When he ate that spicy chip tho.... that makes up for all of the dumb shit he has said that was the funniest thing ive ever seen
As Kobe said if Shaq had given 100% and didn't play his way into shape but had stayed in top form he could have won 10 or more rings because at his prime there was no player who could stop him. Only Shaq could stop Shaq. And it was after MJ retired also played a big part of that to.
He is a narcissist. Everything he says, it's all about getting attention. He has said it, that "he understood at pretty young age, that is all about attention". I don't get it. But he is used to attention, due to always being the strongest and tallest, in most of the rooms he has been in his life. If he doesn't get enough attention he will say something provoking. You can see how many mind games he does play, you can see what he did in Javale, Dwight and especially in the latter, as he felt threat (despite dwight not even close to his level). That's why he hated Kob back in the day, because Kobe was threatening the status quo of the Lakers, he worked day an night to be the best. He wasn't getting the same narcissistic supply so he started playing games, in order to get rid of Kob.
You don’t really know what narcissism is. You might be right in many points but narcissism is something else, something really evil and not just about attention seeking
Shaq do give some tough love like when he criticize Embiid. But he does hate as well, he never gave Dwight a solid criticism except for one and always hate on the guy.
AD didn't become the "sidekick Bron needed", AD was best player on the team that entire season. Shouldve been in MVP conversations but the narratives are gonna narrative.
Shaq's just old school. Foreign players always had to prove themselves a little extra in his day. Look up how Tim Duncan felt about Manu in his rookie year.
old school? he made a lie, slander David robinson reputation. Mention any Nba player back in the days who would hate David Robinson except for Shaq. Dude is an insecure bully
How can he be considered a hater Bec he's not impressed. I don't have to be impressed by something Bec somebody else is. That's the problem with the world if we go against popular opinion we're just haters that's a baseless claim if I ever heard one.
Shaqs still salty he only put 70% effort in during his career. He remembers himself by his potential. As if he had, or could have, been that. But he wasn't. As dominant as he was, he didn't feel like he HAD to put in that effort because, at the time, he didn't need to. But now that the all time leader-boards have come into play, he'd rather act like he DID the things he had the potential to do. Even though he never did. "yeah but i could have... yeah but i would have..." but, he didnt. We know what he did. All time great. But this man is looking back like he was at 100% and actually DID the thing he could have. But he never was, and he never did. oh what could have been. reality is often different to our memories.
Shaq is an older me, we both share that military background. Growing up military is like being raised by someone fresh outta prison...they're institutionalized where all they know is tough love. The world is simply too soft, I view Shaq as a big brother tryna make you better
Especially to those that are working already, Shaq's style is an old school and thus common strategy among bosses... Thats why its either going to motivate you to be better or just resign
it’s not it’s stupid cause he doesn’t even give a good analyst he’s incapable of making good arguments to something it’s jus bullshit if a boss is like that ppl would file complaints
He has nothing to do with him being old school, and everything to do with the fact that he knows that if he took conditioning serious, he could have been the hands-down goat. I watch him on inside the NBA, throw himself into conversations that he doesn’t belong in by exaggerating some of his stats only for them to pull the stats up right in front of him to show him that he was either lying or exaggerating. Last week on his boring podcast, he reported on Nurkic Allegedly saying he was going to press charges against Rudy, Gobert, which he didn’t say, and Shaq says he’s ruining the big man alliance that I started. You didn’t start shit. There were big men before you . Relax.
It's rather hypocritical for Shaq to call others out for no maximizing their ceiling. Just because he's liked doesn't mean he's not a hater. MJ is also a hater but everyone loves him. Some people have a body of work and a charisma that overshadow their negative traits in regards to respect.
Wilt was the most dominant you can't argue with 50 pts and 20 reb a game and don't ever say even against tim Duncan again tim Duncan was a power forward
You’re absolutely right. When he retired, he should’ve had more championships, more, MVPs, and he should’ve been top five and rebounds, blocks and should’ve been a defensive player of the year. But because he didn’t take conditioning seriously, he definitely achieved, but to make him feel better, people call him the most dominant, because they can’t call him anything else however, those stats and retirement don’t necessarily scream dominant to me not when there are power forward have more rebounds and blocks than he does.
Shaq has no reason to hate, he’s literally one of the most loved people in America. He wants them to prove him wrong and that’ll mean they’ll be great, that’s all
I think its important we advertise the mindset that if you havent won it all you arent shit. At the end of the day, it is unfair to some people like stockton but at the same time its what fuels the best in the business who want their name go down the history books. In addition, Shaq is someone who aqtually rewards players for winning, just go back and look how shaqs comments changed about curry, and more recently how he praised giannis and jokic after they won
Shaq is old school in wanting these guys to step their game and prove him wrong however those days are all but gone because players today are far to sensitive and want positive reinforcement or else their feelings get hurt and Shaq is having to deal with that without accepting that reality.
Yep, and this is likely generational, as this only really started with the Millennials, and has escalated with Gen Z. Shaq was Gen X, just like Kobe, while LeBron and Dwight are Millennials as is Embiid, and Jokic, Luka, and Zion are Gen Z. This also goes hand in hand with ring chasing, as the likes of Stockton, Malone, Reggie, and Ewing stayed with the same team for years (Barkley was an outlier in that era), while LeBron and Durant had to create/join super teams to get their first rings (at least Jokic and Giannis got their first with the team they were drafted to, which is a positive direction, though LeBron redeemed himself in 2016... Tatum/Brown and Shai are also likely to win it with their primary team as it stands now, as I know Shai was a rookie with the Clippers but he's way more associated with the Thunder).
He compliments players like Thon Maker and Bol Bol that have “potential”. But when it comes to anyone like Luka, Chet, a healthy AD, or a prime Dwight who threatens his all time ranking, he withholds his flowers.
Shaq is like me. He doesn't buy into hype. I thought Luka would be bust I was 100% wrong. Shaq wants his big man to be big men...dominate...embiid probably my 2nd favorite player and I get pissed when he take jumpers or he falling all over the place looking for foul..u 7'1 beast mode the paint lol...I agree with Shaq on wemby. Bol bol was my first impression of him. I think wemby is not that good...but ill be first to admit if I'm wrong
The Bol Bol Wemby comparison isn’t far fetched y’all should watch Bol Bol when he was at Oregon. And Shaq’s son played with Bol Bol throughout High school I’m pretty sure Shaq knows what he’s talking about here. As much I love shaq, it’s all too true shaq do be hating on players today. At the end of the day everyone can’t be shaq and play up to shaq’s standards
Doubt it has to do with his upbringing. I think it's just a symptom of Shaq always being the biggest, most intimidating person in the room. He's just not used to people keeping him in check about what he says (with the exception of Charles Barkley).
Shaq was not nearly as dominant as Wilt was during his era- the stats tell the story. Shaq essentially had genetics to credit for his success, and during his time at the Lakers it was obvious he had issues staying fit and lean. IMO there is no reason to listen to his BS now.
I like shaq, he's a good dude. Some of it is tough love, some of it is hate for lack of a better word. It would help if he didn't say some of the most casual 💩 & accepted that the NBA game has changed. rules, scheme, etc. His grudge against Dwight that started over a mf'n nickname, his takes on Rudy don't shine a good light. There have been times he'll flat out discredit a player past or present & be proven wrong be proven wrong but still won't give credit where it's due.
Shaqs one guy that actually makes changes himself and than preaches what the next person in his shoes should do. Ive seen him admit alot of wrong doings stuff he regrets all that and than everyone wants to say hes a bully and insecure 😂. Shaq as a player was great especially in his prime. Shaq as an analyst, questionable IMO. When he gets into a corner, he always brings up his rings. It tiring, old, and a cop out. He can make some good points but it’s so-so to me.
Shaq is insecure because he knows he’s not truly as great as the other threat players his name gets chucked around. He doesn’t want the goats room to be more full because he will be replaced quickly
I'm on shaqs side you kids call someone him after 1 game then that same player comes back next year trash. There used to be a killer mentality on the court that no one has today
We gotta stop calling Shaq one of the BEST big men we've ever seen. He's one of the most DOMINATING bigs ever but that's different from being the best. Deontay Wilder is one of the most DOMINATING Heavyweights of all time but no one would ever part their lips to say he was one of the best because of his SKILL level. Same with Shaq. If Shaq was 240 instead of 300 to 320lbs, he'd be slightly better than Eddy Curry and not as good as Dave Robinson. He'd be Eddy Curry or peak Carlos Boozer.
He isn't a hater. He's just trying to motivate these guys but I forget this generation don't want to be pushed. Anything that isn't babying to y'all is mental abuse.

He think about Ben Wallace
Close second but Paul Pierce holds that title
Greatest ego of all time!
Shaq is literally him tho. you know..
It’s boomer’s “love”
i love sga over luka but sga didnt prove he could do it in the playoffs yet
Skip is #1, Chuck is #2 and Shaq is #3.
I've never seen harden or curry hit clutch shots like luka can infact curry and harden are both notorious for not being there in the clutch......
Shaq is the most insecure analyst out there. Praising a player will undermine his legacy or the legacy of another player he likes.
Shaq is the new Paul pierce some stuff be right most be false
after Dwade revived his career for ONE SEASON, he fell off…NO ONE brings that up
he was washed on the Suns, Cavs & Heat.
Shaq is tired of softness taking over the NBA. Most real NBA fans agree with him.
Shaq my goat
strong vid man
4:46 😅
He isn't a hater. He's just trying to motivate these guys but I forget this generation don't want to be pushed. Anything that isn't babying to y'all is mental abuse.
He have a little hate maybe bcs he not achieve all what he can if stay and play with Kobe
