I was entranced by some of your other recordings in their profound beauty and voicing. Gougeon's work in the teaser provided here already has a lovely richness that suits the harp and your intensely deep playing. So fascinating to see virtuoso and composer working side-by-side in video. Thank you for sharing this!
Au Palais Montcalm... pas loin de chez mon amoureux... huummm... je vais clairement acheter des billets! J'ai hâte de te revoir en concert et là, ça aura une saveur encore plus spéciale!
From the teasing segment you presented, it sounds like it's going to be good. He mentioned the lack of music for harp and orchestra. I also know that you work with transcriptions. (Your Moldau is a knockout.) I wonder if you are familiar with the compositions of Takashi Yoshimatsu, a Japanese composer. Most of his music is available on You Tube. In the last 20 years or so he has returned to neo-romanticism. I find a good deal of his music harp-like. If you have time, perhaps listen to ruclips.net/video/1tyB7s8TrqE/видео.html (And birds are still . . .). Imagine the harp playing the violin line. I hope you have good success with this new work.
"Le côté guerrier de la harpe", j'aime votre vision de ce noble instrument.
Keep us posted. I'm looking forward to the performance, hopefully it will be uploaded.
