When you're running these Chinese inverter welders you need to have one of the pass-through voltage meters to find the actual amperage they're putting out. The ones I have tend to run high when set to lower amps (set to 35amps, delivers 47amps) and lower when set high (set 125, delivers 102amps). So there's clearly something going on with the physical inverter tech that causes that. They work wonderfully, but you definitely can't rely on the displayed amperage settings to be accurate. Measure and then make yourself a cheat sheet.

I had similar results with the "yes welder" worked great on lower amps 60xx but had to max it to run 3/32 7018
I have nothing but praise about my YesWelder tig200 ac. But the more I test these Chinese machine the thing I find is that they are very inconsistent.

Did you run DCEN or DCEP on your 7018 tests?
My experience, 7018 usually better results for me running DCEP (in other words, better welds and less cuss words, lol)
I ran DCEP, I got feedback from the company’s that I have tested for that they are not good with 7018. Thanks for watching!
