in this we are traveling Narrow Gauge train in Gujarat, this is my first time In NG, it was a super green journey.
The Bilimora-Waghai section belongs to Mumbai WR division of Western Railway zone in Gujarat State of India.

Ooty train is meter gauge (1000 mm / 3 Ft and 3,3/8 inches).
Narrow gauge was running in TN from Mayavaram to Tarangampadi some twenty five years ago, now closed.
In the old days there was no single Indian railway. There were various railway companies operating in various parts of the country, with various gauges.
Broad gauge: 1.676 meters. Narrow gauge: 0.762 meters. Metre gauge: 1 meter. The Nilgiri Mountain Railway (NMR) is a 1,000 mm (3 ft 3+3⁄8 in) metre gauge railway⚠
Ooty hills train is 100% metre gauge with diesel locomotive upto coonur from Ooty then with steam locomotive along with rack and pinion system, one time I travelled in this train from Ooty to Mettupalayam, such a nice journey it was.
Bro. Metre gauge is actually a type of Narrow gauge. Basically, any track that's wider than Standard Gauge (1435 mm) is broad gauge. Our broad gauge (1676mm or 5ft 6in) falls under this classification. Whereas anything narrower than Standard Gauge is narrow gauge. Metre Gauge, 2ft 6in narrow gauge and 2ft narrow gauge are all part of this classification.
Fun Fact: Our broad gauge (5ft 6in) is specially popular in the Indian Subcontinent (India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka), and hence, it is also called as "Indian Gauge"
3:27 Ooty Metre gauge 1000mm track gauge.. Also in ooty we find YDM-4 diesel locomtoves, so its definitely a metre gauge railway in ooty.
For your information the railway line from Ooty to Mettupalayam on SR is metre gauge only. I am from Coimbatore and I have travelled CBE to Ooty via Coonoor four times a month for thirty years.

As the Narrow Guage is small Hence Railways have provided only two doors. Opposite doors have been avoided. Yes during British times Narrrow guage lines were laid as per reuirements. Ooty nigiri mountain railway(NMR) is metre gauge 100% sure. Between Coonoor and Ooty is hauled by YDM4 diesel loco. This loco used to haul MG trains in TN (old MG)

ZDM is NG
There are two types of NG diesel locos. the ZDM ones run on 2ft 6in gauge, whereas the NDM ones run on 2ft gauge.
@@paghalavan.i.d9392 yes you are perfectly correct in your observation. Both 2 and 2'6" are clubbed together because they are slow moving and hence not much difference in super elevation of the outer rail on curves.

Try Neral To Mathran Narrow gauge. Neral station is between Kalyan To Karjat station in central Railway ( Mumbai - Pune route)
Waghai and saputara is in Dangs district.
Waghai to saputara 50 kms . Nice hill station.
Saputara to nashik 70kms.
Nashik to Mumbai by train or bus by kasara ghats. Scenic.

3:32 Anything which is below the standard gauge 1435mm is narrow gauge, and above 1435mm is Broad gauge. Since we have more sub categories inside narrow gauges, we use "metre gauge" for track gauges b/w 939mm to 1067mm (since these values are like + or - to1000m=1m) and Narrow gauges for track gauges below 939mm.. We also have sub categories in BG too- Russian gauge 1520mm, Indian gauge 1676mm
